ME: Yeah really sir !, so tell me about this idea of connecting multi-monitors to my PC. OLD GUY: What are you talking about ? ME: Shut up your older than the youtube video i just watched !!!
I still have my tv from the 90s. It's seventeen years old and shows no signs of wearing out. These new flat screen models, I wonder if they'll last twenty years. I doubt it, though.
@MrRedFredSaid I highly dobt they last as long as the the old CRT tv's but if your picky about picture quality which most of us are. Time to get rid of the old CRT and upgrade to Plasma, LCD, or LED
@cassman1979 No Thanks I would rather stick to my CRTs, My Quadraphonic reciever over this crap called 5.1, cassette tapes, and vinyl. VCR tapes play way better on CRTs, and I have 600 plus of them! Projectors are good too but you have to have a dark room to use them.
back in 2006 i bought a 32" lcd tv for 800$! And 2 weeks ago I just bought a 50" plasma for 500$! Prices sure have come down. Who knows tv prices in 2 or 3 years from now.
@damonster5000 If we live past 2012 you mean ;) I was at a showing of future TV's and allot of them there were never going to hit the market some would atleast cost £15000 and they're just in prototype stages!
I asked a Samsung Rep about what they were planning with OLED and they said it's not really going anywhere soon. "Not too many people like the idea of buying a $25,000 TV knowing it will literally die within 7 years". Maybe in a few years. So sad how much TV prices have fallen, most the manufacturers and stores are losing money on TVs now. Only benefits the consumer buying one.
I need an orgasmic LED TV "40" which looks great, with special premium sound so where can i buy a great one? i live in norway btw... I need it for Battlefield 3!
@sideslide23 I was going to get that one, at my local Best Buy, but once they told me that they were only holding 10 of them, and then I remembered walking in that I had seen at least 20 folks with tents camped outside the store, I said forget that, it's already gone. So i got the next best thing, well to me its the size that matters most. Unless you're paying for extra HD channels for your TV subscription, its not worth stressing. It's hard to tell 720p from 1080p after 7 feet away anyway.
This past black friday, I bought a Emerson LCD HDTV 40 inch for $248 at Walmart. Walmart was just basically giving it away. So far I'm happy with my new HDTV, which replaces my 27inch analog tube tv.
Man i wish this prediction was true, shoot, its still hard to find a great quality 32 inch hdtv on sale for $400 today. Well this prediction may be true for plasmas but not lcds. I know that the plasma tvs are dropping rapidly in price, I bought a 51 inch Samsung 720p for $500. I was shopping for a descent 32 inch but man the price your paying for a good quality 32 inch Lcd Hdtv, you might as well up the size and get a plasma instead.
