instead of squueezing all yur fungers at that high octave F#m its easier to jus go back to the beginning lower octave F#m therefore you'd be ready for the next lines of the lyrics, the chorus would be easier to play, and it sounds good too, just a thought.

@65c101994 Seriously, very cool you can already play this.. You must be talented if you already can. But you have to learn the basics of guitar in order to be able to play songs by ear.. Or things like jamming... Get a teacher or aks people you know (who play guitar) if they can teach you the basics. If you know the basics you'll see all this shit is easy ;) And if you really want to become good.. Start with spanish music and classical music. Might sound stupid but thats REALLY difficult music.

If you wanna play this song like John, you need to learn how to play barre chords by pressing the E string with your thumb. Doing this makes it much easier to play the hammer on/pull offs and slides in the verse that you didn't show.
