This program had one of the most beautiful theme songs I have ever heard. Hearing it brings a tear to my eye. I remember watching this program with my father. I sure wish I could see some of the original NBC episodes with Marlin Perkins doing the lead in to the Mutual of Omaha commercials. Thanks for posting this clip. Television was once this way...
I agree about this theme. I believe was composed by Al Cobine, a native Hoosier who led a popular big band and contracted musicians for Henry Mancini. Another poster referred to recounting "lazy Sunday afternoons" when this clip was viewed and I have the same response. When I was little and perusing all THREE channels on television (excluding UHF), this show was typically shown where I grew up on Sunday afternoons. Thank you for posting this!
Another interesting-looking show I've never seen.

I used to love this show when I was a child, I think it came on Sunday afternoon before the six o clock news.

Every Sunday right before the Wonderful World of Disney. That is a very sharp memory of growing up. Thanks!
