  • Those loader atands are built like a TANK !and will last a Lifetime !

  • @courperationX Funny stuff.. You and others like you are just making the problem up by yourselves. Everyone is so "sensitive" Get over it.. Its just terms.. words.. And I am sure it wasn't "Offensive" to anyone but you.

  • I don't know so I won't make any assumptions, but I'm just letting you know. When you said it would be good to start of children or women, it sounds like you're discriminating women. Children is understandable, but it sounds a bit different when you talk about a woman like that. I'm just saying you might want to re-phrase that in the future unless you don't mind pissing a lot off people off.

  • I like mine, but the single bolt that holds the main rod keeps coming loose. I plan on welding the rod permanently in position so that it will stop coming loose and turning.

  • i sure would like to go shooting with you when i was a boy. i would have been the better for it.

  • What a great unmistakeable sound,I can almost smell the powder!!

  • Was it ever known for soldiers in the field to carry additional cylinders,so as to speed up reloading during use as opposed to reloading in the gun?

  • By the late 1850's combustible cartridges were used, usually packed in small 6-shot boxes.

The "combustibles" were a thin paper powder envelope glued to the base of a conical bullet. The bullet was pre-greased by cold-dipping in a hot-melted beeswax/tallow lube.

The entire combustible was loaded, and 6chambers could be loaded and capped in about 2-minutes or so.

The thin paper envelope was consumed when fired, other than a bit of remaining ash

  • Do you not use any wad under your bullets?I was also taught to lube the bullets and to put a thin film of grease over each chamber after loading to eliminate the very slim risk of flashover in use,is this needed?Maybe confused with something else, been a long time since I shot cap'n'ball, a LONG time unfortunately.

  • We made a video that explains much of what you asked. look up tapps47 on YouTube and take a look.

  • Thankyou
