  • If some people say: "fat pig!" I must say I love that fat pig! Joe Cocker needet 20 Years of whiskey to get the voice Andrew hat in the age of 16,5 years!

  • He should have gone into rock, his voice matches any hard rock singer out there

  • this guy is CLASS, what a voice!

  • What ever happend to him?? what a voice..

  • @travfreak he is still touring

  • looking foward to seeing him march great singer his da class too

  • He is a superstar.......every fucker on the planet knows Andrew strong is!!LEGEND!!

  • If he wasnt such an obnoxious fat prick he would have been a superstar. What a voice what a dickhead... God giveth with one hand and taketh with the other.

  • @erico1977 i agree with you....he should of gone on and been a world superstar...not enough people have heard him sing....but look at the fat prick

  • I think his voice is awesome. he doesn't have to be a superstar to be successful at what he does.. It's a role of the dice weather artists become superstars.

  • awesome <3

  • he left when he was 16 so hes now 36 maybe that can describe the accent and at the end of the day who cares hes still a good singer

  • best voice ever, maybe he sings with an American accent because most of the songs he sings are AMERICAN ?

  • superb music,, superb voice, truely a great man,, loved the commitments ever since i heard them the first time,, and i like his solo songs also,, its WIN

  • i Was there !! :D

    Great Concert in Denmark !

  • Andrews got a great voice but this performance seems a little flat and souless, perhaps he should be in a bar with the The Asbury Dukes backing him, now that would be good.

  • What the FUCK!!! Why does he have an American accent all of a sudden?? It coukldnt have changed that quick!!!

  • The american accent maybe because most of immigrants to america came from ireland.

  • What? He lived in Ireland all his life..Then moved to Scandinavia....So how could he have a American accent?

  • @stonedarryll

Andrew lived in LA for a period.

  • What??? Absolute tosh - All people in the USA are descended from immigrants except for the Native indians, English, Irish, Scots, Welsh, Spanish, German, Dutch, Italian you name it, Europe upped and moved to the 'promised land' in droves. I doubt Ireland with its small population could make up anywher near the largest immigrant group in the States.

No he sings in that silly accent becaus he's a pretentious pillock.

  • @CarlBewley ur a complete COCK & completely obviously a moronic retard, that has no clue about music..........

  • @bohelia - ooh touched a nerve have we deary? Do you fancy him??

He's still a pretentious pillock who pissed his talent away singing this shite. . . . and calling people 'retards' says a lot about you. Shame on you.

  • @CarlBewley shame on me???.......hahahahahahaha, shame on you u dick, you obviously have no insight when it comes 2 music, u TROLL, GO FUCK URSELF YEH!!!

  • @bohelia - Again you excel at showing what a class act you are. So sorry for having an opinion that differs from yours deary. . . .

Some grammar lessons might not go amiss as well, make you look less illiterate.

Love to you. mwah mwah x

  • Wow, II'm American and have LOVED the Commitments since '91 and Andrew Strong is the BEST! I am 61 years old, have seen and heard it all so don't f*** with me. Saw the C's when they visited Manhatten -they just get better and better. For "Mr. Jones" - you have GOT to be kidding: yeah, the music, you're right BUT ya gotta have it sung and played RIGHT to really appreciate it. Let me quote here: "It's the singer, not the song." Get it?

  • I agree! I love this guy and I think every song he sings is an expieriene. Could hear his songs the whole day long. ..... and the movie "committments" is absolutely "the hammer"!

  • Very very nice warm voice!

  • You know, I was (am) a big fan of the movie "The Commitments" but hearing this guy sing, I realize that the real star of that movie was the music and not the performer(s). I think Maria Doyle Kennedy has a much more marketable voice than Andrew.

  • good voice, but fairly boring, compared to the commitment's songs.

  • I didn't kno he turned yank like Bono, thought he was livin in Balbriggan on d quiet 4 years now doin d odd album

  • Couldnt agree more Bushman

And I believe he was only 16 when he made that film.

  • anyone who dont like this guys voice clearly knows nothin bout music at all... amazing voice, watch the commitments, great film and he is awesome

  • Great Singer!!!

  • How fabulous - I love Andrew Strong. What a great voice. Thank you for putting this clip up.

  • Świetny wokalista...i tyle

  • Baby baby baby "Your Out Of Tune!'

  • Hi hitsville4060, can't thank you enuf for posting. Loved him heaps in the Committments days but even more so as a solo artist. This is great, thanks from Katie in Oz.

  • Once a GREAT singer ALWAYS a GREAT singer!

  • Where the hell is Andrew Strong? What a voice!

He was only 16 when The Commitments was filmed, so he can't be all that old now. Where is he?

  • Last I heard of him he is living in Sacandinavia somewhere ! Where did he go wrong, he should have been a huge star.

  • appalling

perhaps he needed to keep up the limelight

  • that man is a fucking genious !?? he'd sing the shit out of anyone of you motherfuckers at anytime..

  • Ah well. Madonna apparently is english. Apparently. Pretentious bitch.

I think it's more obvious when celebrities get caught out switching accents. Don't tell me NONE of you haven't ever tried to put on a different accent. At least once. Everyone's guilty of it. It's something to cringe over, and everyone denies doing.

I think it stems from insecurity.

He's a great singer, and I'd rather see him then a manufactured band any day.

  • I think your handle says it al....LMFAO

  • when did he become a yank sorry i ment wanker

  • So why do you check out his video's ?

  • he might be a fat prick but he can sing more than you can

  • I don't really care about his accent. Love this song and this man can sing great!

  • dont do drugs...

  • Man the rule! ;D

  • I love this version of a Stone's classic. Thanks Andrew!

  • Que voz!!

  • I can hear his accent...like with the world girl...and others.

  • Not as good as Chris Farlowe, not bad but a cheesy version

  • He's amazing, as always. But the song sucks

  • U2 never lost their IRISH accents.

  • yeah whats the fuckin stoooory with the big American buzz?

  • He is magnificent... good, firm, hard, strong, beautiful MAN's voice. Andrew, we love you!

  • Who cares about his accent?

Get to the singing and live on......

He sings great so don't be a bucket head.

  • thought he was IRISH not americian. Hate it when they change there accent.

  • Este si que sabe cantar...

  • Co za wokal.Super -uwielbiam faceta.

  • The ones dissing Andrew must be real crackheads. THIS is music!

  • How long has Andrew been American?

  • Stage presence??? God forbid being able to sing would be enough in these times of manufactured bands.

  • Andrew Strong is great!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Where did he get the yank accent?

  • Most people would stop with the "let's see those hands" after 2 times of no response. I give him credit for the third effort.

Still has the chops, but no look and no stage presence. Should have been bigger than he made it, but it's understandable why he never made it big.

  • Well Meatloaf was never extremely explosive on stage but he's HUGE in the industry....

  • Living proof that you need more than a fabulous voice to make it in the music business.... His version of Mustang Sally was better than the original, yet he never became a big star... Shame

  • Well no one that goes into the artistic field is looking to become a BIG STAR. That just sort of happens. The best anyone can realistically hope for is a career doing what you love and being able to pay the bills without taking a day job. In that respect, he's succesful.

Although I don't like this song.
