the thing i love about Rays style is that he's got such killer technique but everything he does still has the vibe of rock n roll.. You can hear the way he accents things and how he grooves around the tempo its never loose but its never mechnical.. he's one of the best out there i think. kit sounds great on this recording also..

@JOEtheHOTTIE I've seen both of their styles and Ray is so much more creative. He has even added his own twists to the beats of the old songs and they add a lot of character. David was good, but Ray is a better show man, a more diversified drummer, actually taught at campuses, and yet still knows how to play for the songs instead of going crazy with fills. He isn't trying to be like David, he is applying his style to the band. Mind you this is coming from a drummer of seven years.

I liked David, but never been much of a fan of pastie cymbals cause to me they have a dual sound.. I like Sabian the most and Ray uses mostly Sabian, so looking forward to hearing older Korn songs played with much better quality cymbal brand, and I use Pearl drums too, so dose Ray, another 10 points there, as I have never been as keen on Tama drums and Pearl drums to me are the best brand there so yeah... Look forward to hearing Sabian use in Korn songs and not Pastie anymore :-D
