Real bike riders dont use their rear brakes to control wheelies. In my book thats cheating. How can you use your rear brakes if your sitting on the gas tank or doing a high chair wheelie sitting over the handlebars?All you need is throttle control. Learn how to feather your throttle and you'll be alright especially at high speeds. That rear brake crap will jus handicap you.

Yeah that's right, but if you are a total newbie I myself would find it easier to first just find the right angle for wheelies using the rear brake.. You know it's no good thing when you open your throtle for wheelie your bike the very first time just thinking you are going to need just the throthle for adjusting the angle and next you wake up on the asfalt bike on your body.. first of all the rear hand brake is for backup you dont need to use it if you know your balance point which is pretty big on a sport bike and second i can do spreaders and special k's and high chairs all day on my stunt quad with no hand brake so it just goes to show its all about how well you know your balance point. rear hand brakes are useful because they can save your ass but not necessarily used every time you wheelie like I said mainly for saving your ass or getting off the 12 bar
