I desperately need his chords. Any players who figured it out? I can play it in F C Bb but im no advanced player... he plays it on a different key or different chords?
I love the Boss but Eddie adds a depth of emotion to this song that I've never heard before, would never want to pick between the two they have both given the music world so so much and I think we are privileged to have two fantastic interpretations of a great song! Does anyone know if you can get this on CD and the name of the album / concert?
@albief1 Watch Buce's version on the acoustic right here on youtube. "Bruce Springsteen no surrender". You will find it. I think Bruce Blows this out of the water.
"we learned more from a 3 minute record than we ever learned from school"....i've learned more about life from pearl jams music that any school could ever pretend to portray knowledge...........
What can I say? Being a Springsteen-fan, I've heard a lot of covers over the years, but few does it as good as the Boss. Eddie Vedder does it even better.
bruce springsteen is an american poet, bittersweet stories of our lives... and eddie vedders voice compliments springsteens lyrics with style and grace....
WOW....you absolutely nailed it! Springsteen is indeed a genius of a poet, but it's the haunting depth of Vedder's voice that is it's ultimate companion. Well stated!
well.. its pretty dum to make a list like this... i mean you cant say that 1 guy was better than others... or well you can... but it wont be the truth untill you have heard every single song in the world... and you will never do that...
you've got a lot of demons to figure out buddy. don't hate entire countries because of their current leaders. do you think Americans hate Germany because of Hitler? How about Abraham Lincoln or Franklin D. Roosevelt? America has a wonderful history of some of the greatest struggles and wonderful people that persevered through them that this world has ever known.
To be American is to be thankful for the opportunity that this land has given us, as we come from Europe, Asia, Africa, and all over the world. A lot of Americans have some really wonderful values. Please don't hate.
i am a republican i voted for gore in 2000..didn't vote for reason in 2004 because in good faith i couldn't not vote for kerry or bush. our leaders don't support all of the republican party or america
What a pleasure, Eddie singing this Bruce's lyrics... Sometimes I heat the US and many American people, but we must always keep in mind, US has also gave the world people like them (people that grew in opposition to many American values anyway).
Tendré que aprender seriamente Inglés para poder leer todos los comentarios que hacen de este genio.... lo adoro so much!

I wasn't even familiar with this song when I saw them in NJ... and it was still that damn good
And then he came out and sang "It Makes No Difference" with My Morning Jacket...
AND THEN Pearl Jam went on to play 30+ songs
Vedder and crew give you your money's worth
