  • Vedder talent dwarfs springsteen

  • SEM PALAVRAS

  • Eddie really does Bruce's songs justice-this is an amazing rendition of the song. Ed also does a great version of "Growin' Up".

  • I desperately need his chords. Any players who figured it out? I can play it in F C Bb but im no advanced player... he plays it on a different key or different chords?

    thnx for replies

  • Thanks Bro for posting it.!!!!

  • Amazing performance Eddie. One of my favorite Bruce songs.

  • Awesome version. Loves how sings Bruce songs, you know he's a real fan.

  • Man-o-man, can Eddie sing Bruce songs well.

  • I love the Boss but Eddie adds a depth of emotion to this song that I've never heard before, would never want to pick between the two they have both given the music world so so much and I think we are privileged to have two fantastic interpretations of a great song! Does anyone know if you can get this on CD and the name of the album / concert?

  • @albief1 No official recording exists of this. This is the best you will find.

  • @albief1 Watch Buce's version on the acoustic right here on youtube. "Bruce Springsteen no surrender". You will find it. I think Bruce Blows this out of the water.

  • @albief1 Check out Bruce's live accoustic version from 30 years ago on his live album. I like Eddie's too

  • "we learned more from a three-minute-record as we ever learned in school" YEP ! GREAT !!

  • Boss cover. :)

  • Although I respect both artists Eddie is no Bruce... sorry but Bruce just does it better.

  • "we learned more from a 3 minute record than we ever learned from school"....i've learned more about life from pearl jams music that any school could ever pretend to portray knowledge...........

  • nice................nice............:-)

  • I was about 15 ft in front of him during this.... I wish i could go back!

  • Music sounds like blowing in the wind???

  • @zarah47

... i can hear it... nice catch

  • His voice! So poignant and beautiful,

    I get chills all over!

    Eddie Vedder!

  • this is not really Eddie, its Scott Stapp. lol!

  • Holy shit..I used to run the streets in East Rutherford!!!! loooooong time ago!!!

  • His voice is just amazing and creeps under my skin. There is no other like Eddie. I wish I would meet him one day.

    God bless you. Viva Eddie

  • cant beat eddie vedder

  • I listened to this song and I got the chills the whole time! This is awesome!

  • great springsteen cover,

    one of the best´s

  • What can I say? Being a Springsteen-fan, I've heard a lot of covers over the years, but few does it as good as the Boss. Eddie Vedder does it even better.

  • exactly my feeling, eddie sings his songs perfectly

  • bruce springsteen is an american poet, bittersweet stories of our lives... and eddie vedders voice compliments springsteens lyrics with style and grace....

  • WOW....you absolutely nailed it! Springsteen is indeed a genius of a poet, but it's the haunting depth of Vedder's voice that is it's ultimate companion. Well stated!

  • Grande

  • Love you! u are my zeppelin! my guide...

  • Good cover.

  • Kikou!! Just love his voice...Thanks for the video!!

  • great complement to springsteen ,this guy is the best i have ever heard singing springsteen.

    very good A+

  • As usual...amazing. Thank you Eddie, for making my days better.

  • I meant I like him!

  • Eddie is la polla!! Genial!!

  • Who's this man?

  • what are you, new? it's the risen jesus.

  • dude, he's The Great Eddie Vedder. :D

  • Beautiful...

  • 80's - Springsteen,"No surrender" was recorded in 1984

  • Bob Dylan (60's), Bruce Springsteen(70's) and now Eddie Vedder(90's). Whose the next poet? Was there a poet from the '80's? What about this decade?

  • ya... Springsteen had 2 decades....ha

  • Was Bono the poet of the 80's?

  • 60s - Bob Dylan

    70s - Bruce

    80s - Bruce

    90s - vedder

00s - ... i have no clue theres not alot of good creative music writters out besides ones we already named. most music nowa days sucks

  • well.. its pretty dum to make a list like this... i mean you cant say that 1 guy was better than others... or well you can... but it wont be the truth untill you have heard every single song in the world... and you will never do that...

  • i know... i hear where ur coming from. just my opinion

  • I wasn't even familiar with this song when I saw them in NJ... and it was still that damn good

And then he came out and sang "It Makes No Difference" with My Morning Jacket...

AND THEN Pearl Jam went on to play 30+ songs

Vedder and crew give you your money's worth

  • veederman, cuando vas a cantar algun cover mal!

  • ahora

  • Typical Vedder touch. Very beautiful...cheers.

  • "Don't hate", "I have despised that man since...". Isn't that applying double standards?

  • Why do you hate us, what makes you so special?

  • This song makes me cry. its awesome.

  • me too bud, very emontional....unreal cover

  • Thank you

  • lol, I meant "hate" not "heat".

  • you've got a lot of demons to figure out buddy. don't hate entire countries because of their current leaders. do you think Americans hate Germany because of Hitler? How about Abraham Lincoln or Franklin D. Roosevelt? America has a wonderful history of some of the greatest struggles and wonderful people that persevered through them that this world has ever known.

  • To be American is to be thankful for the opportunity that this land has given us, as we come from Europe, Asia, Africa, and all over the world. A lot of Americans have some really wonderful values. Please don't hate.

  • i am a republican i voted for gore in 2000..didn't vote for reason in 2004 because in good faith i couldn't not vote for kerry or bush. our leaders don't support all of the republican party or america

  • What a pleasure, Eddie singing this Bruce's lyrics... Sometimes I heat the US and many American people, but we must always keep in mind, US has also gave the world people like them (people that grew in opposition to many American values anyway).
