@glanciault123 My rhetoric is a result of years worth of critical thought and considering the logical conclusions of leftist ideals. It is a shame that even if a storm comes through you town or state and the governor proclaims martial law they have the right to take our firearms. I feel comforted here in AZ when I see a person in front of me in checkout with a sidearm because I know he probably knows how to use it. I personally use a ccw and conceale mine.
@ceedidoghouse I'm all for carrying open or carrying concealed. Whichever you choose. I don't agree that we need permission to do either one. You just made me try to remember if I have seen any lady's carrying open before and I can't say that I have seen many at all. Thanks for watching!
Nice video. However, a couple of comments. The "right" does not own the second ammendment. While many "liberals" are for gun control, most of us are not - hence the power of the NRA. I am a liberal gun owner who has a CCW and an active member of the NRA. An armed society is a polite society and everywhere citizens have a right to carry crime drops. When it's a criminal offense to own a gun only criminals will have guns.
@xx76rockstar76xx I did take the oath back in the 80's. Although I am not currently involved with the Oath Keepers, I completely support the mission. Thanks for watching!
Robert Heinlein said it best IMO: "An armed society, is a polite society"
Look at the erra of around the 20's. People could go out and buy suppressors and fully automatic weapons with no permissions. Then the mobs came along and used said items to the point the government came along to place rules and outlaw these things for us Joe Sixpacks. Same with the permits. I've carried for going on seven years now. I believe it is better to have and not need than to need and not have.
@TheHambo58 I think we're being driven apart by BS social issues. In the grand scheme of things issues like gay marriage and prayer in school (just two examples...there are many more) aren't going to do anything to improve our country's situation; both issues fire up the base on both sides of the aisle and in the end we spend more time fighting each other as opposed to the real crooks behind the curtain. @RavenWolf515 I belive that your right. They are fired up about stuff that should take second place to the issues that are truely ruining our great nation.
I'm with you 100 percent. I remember those days too. Its a slow chipping away at our rights leading to total control and our loss of freedom. The last 3 supreme court judges appointed by Obama are his pawns, their fanatic about gun control. If Obama get another term we are had. I'll vote for who ever does't not want to take away our constitution. Keep at it brother!
You seem like a reasonable enough level headed guy, I agree with most of your commnts on this video. My concern is the mentally ill and ex-cons r buying guns at gun shows in Tenn and some other states. A study in NY a few years back showed that 82% of the guns used in crimes were obtained illegally. There have been too many shootngs lately and too many innocnt people/kids are dead or wounded. I think we need to tighten up laws and keep Bi-Polar people from owning guns, and police the guns shows
@cromagnan Old thread but I'm going to comment anyway. The people you speak about are ALREADY prohibited from owning guns. Saying a certain % of guns used in crimes are obtained illegally...of course they are. Criminals can't follow the rules & laws & get a gun legally. Common sense. We don't need any new laws. Enforce the ones we have & understand the only people who follow the laws are the law abiding citizens in the first place. I believe the gun show issue is extremely overblown. - More...
@Soulrider2012 82% of the guns confiscated in NY a few years back were illegally obtained at gun shows, that sounds like a serious problem to me. Also, if a person is diagnosed Bi-Polar or is a wife beater, they should not be allowed to own a weapon. At the moment, people who are mentally ill can pass a background check. This needs to change.
Not all liberals/leftists are pansies. I own several guns and lean heavily to the left, though not on all issues. I have many liberal friends who were at one time anti-gun, however after I've taken them to the woods or the range and let them shoot a few rounds, they almost always go out and buy guns after having seen what they're all about. If gun owners start a "liberal outreach program" and educate folks about firearms, I'm willing to bet public opinion will shift a great deal.
@RavenWolf515 The bios media has brain washed the people. Saying you can't be liberal if your not for gun control. And have brain wash the people to belive if you use guns your a fanatic right wing extremist. I've been a democrat all my life and I'm tired of being told I have to jump on the ban wagon with what ever the issues of the day are. I remember a time when being liberal didn't have anything to do with guns, but social policy. The left are to far left, and the right are to far right today
@RavenWolf515 Perhaps you are not the leftist you think you are. As you start to really look at things with real common sense you'll be surprised just how for to the right you move. I used to hang around in the middle to the left until I started waking up. Now I don't think I could move any farther to the right if I tried. It's all about true liberty, but keeping true liberty requires strength. Thanks for watching!
The one thing about your view that cannot be argued. Criminals and nutcases do NOT follow gun laws. Not even slightly. So the gun laws simply do not work for that single reason. And the injuries, accidents, crimes involving law abiding people is such an amazing small number it's not even measurable. The police cannot be, and are NOT our bodyguards. And we can be killed by many weapons, not just guns.
@GeorgiaShooter True again. If honest people loose their gun right we wil be the one's defending ourselves with a knife facing off with a criminal who has a illegal gun. I don't like those odds. Laws only work for the honest citizen not the criminal. I'm feed up with more laws for criminals who don't give a damn about the law anyway. I agree 100 percent.
@TheHambo58 Yeah but that's also when law abiding citizens would have to become criminals wide spread to defend themselves. Either way the government grows in size but I really liked your rational point of view. Take care my friend, grow some maters :)
@GeorgiaShooter Just goes to show that gun control from the gov is only about protecting their own power. We can't buy into that. Not one bit! Thanks for watching!
When you mentioned the Leftist pansies, I immediately thought of what I have to work around. You'd be surprised how many in the Army swing that way. This has been one of the things that sicken me as a Sergeant. No matter how much 'training' they get with with their assigned weapon, they're still scared shitless of the things. They're just here for the friggin college (great meeting ground for commies as it turns out).
@sgtjasonshrout Even if they are afraid of the guns, it's a scary thought that our military is being flooded with them. They'll be the ones to gladly use their weapons against us when ordered to disarm the American public.
6:17.... "In my opinion, guns should be as common as shoes". Very well said! I hope you don't mind too much if I use that quote, as it EXACTLY sums up my personal feelings on the issue!
I agree that CCWs are like licensing a right, but it's better than what many of us had, and that was NO carry, NO way, NO how, unless you were hunting or going to a range. In Texas, it couldn't be loaded in your car unless you were crossing 3 counties. In North Carolina, you could open carry, but if someone got scared, they could call the cops and charge you with "taking up arms to terrorize the public" which made it worthless. I have a CCW now, and it tells police "I'm no trouble maker."
Getting your CCW immediately puts your name on the Red List.
Before Martial Law is declared, you will have a red dot painted on your mailbox or driveway, and will be rounded up two weeks prior to Martia Law. The same 3:00 o'clock (AM) knock that people in the Soviet Union feared.
The upside is that our country is the most gun friendly. No one exercises the 2nd amendment and as you said before why even see it as an amendment? Guns should be as common as shoes. Other countries will be screwed when their govt. decides to turn over at least some of us have the chance and access to self defense against the dark side when they come out of the closet and try to ransack our homes and rights..
That said I don't think an armed person would've been bad, perhaps JL would've shot fewer vics. But what stopped JL was the extended Glock mag jamming enabling a few brave people to jump him. If someone had been armed then they would also have to be lucky to not be in his line of sight when they drew their weapon & they would have to avoid not shooting the persons running in every direction. Also JL had the advantage of scoping out the crowd beforehand & preselecting high threat targets.
@waltereg0 You are right on all points, but I'm not sure I understand where you are trying to go with it. However, if more people were to actually carry even the psycho's may take some pause before shooting up a crowd. If they see a lot of weapons they may decide to move on until they found a safer crowd of unarmed people. If it was the norm for everyone to carry it would be hard to find a safer crowd. Psychos will always be with us... Might as well try to protect yourself anyway.
@subtac >Exactly right. Criminal just target gun free zones because they know honest people will follow the law. We should be able to carry anywhere. The criminal like that are really cowards at heart and won't chance it they think someone might shoot back.
I am a gun owner & grew up in Tucson, same high-school as Gabby Giffords. Saying an armed person could have saved her is naive nonsense. The shooter went straight up to her, drew his Glock & shot her in the head. Then he immediately shot others. If you'd been there you wouldn't have been able to "see him coming". He has the advantage of surprise & mental preparation - you'd hesitate & then draw & fire under the influence of stress/fear that the calm psycho shooter doesn't feel. It's chaotic.
I agree, the concept of a CCW is ridiculous. It's moronic that we need a law/s to re-establish our rights.
You mentioned Tucson, AZ. That was just before Constitutional Carry iirc but, at the time, anyone in AZ that could legally own a gun could carry it open. There was no excuse for every person in that parking lot to not be armed yet you cannot find one mention of an armed citizen at that scene on that day. We need to change the mindset of the sheeple or we will always be fighting these laws.
@ob1coyote That shooting made me wonder if the rep. lady wasn't sacrificed with out her knowledge so gun control freaks could say we need more gun control. I do agree, more people should get off their butts and take action. Carry a gun, defend themselves! I sure do.
First off I do hunt, shoot recreationaly, and am a combay vet. I have over 35 weapons myself to include a ccw. But I do not feel that the laws are strict enough.
@adamrecon Can you explain what additional laws you feel we need? How far do you want the Government to dig into your personal life? Do you seriously think that any law on the book will keep any criminal from doing what they are planning to do? What laws, other than a complete ban on firearms do you think we need? Regardless of the fact that your a combat vet. you sound like an anti-gun and a typical Liberal who is set on stripping us of our freedoms and liberties.
like a few others i thought i was going to hate this. but i agree with you. i’m also from TN and turn 21 next year. and will get my CCP/CWP i wish we could carry Concealed with out but we can’t. but in a way i thinks it’s some what good. and you stated this you’r self on why you have it so you don’t go to jail or get harassed. it also will most likely help (in you’r favor) if you wear to have to use it. and that brings something els to my mind. open carry. i don’t really like the idea.
Thanks dude for putting this video out there. I have been thinking about getting a CCW myself and the concerns you brought up is what I am getting stuck on in my decision. I am more worried about the governments next move than any other aspect of the subject. The current failure of our monetary system is the driving force (in my opinion) and is what will drive the country as a whole to the breaking point. The best we can do is be aware and be prepared.
Brother it is very sad that there are only a few people like you and me scattered so thinly in the large groups of ignorantly blissful automotons ready and willing to do as they are told. Makes me sick and fear that when martial law is finally enforced, we will have no back up when we start exorsising our rights, after being pushed into the domestic terrorist catagory (just for prepping) by the true terrorists in our homeland and forcefully hauled off to FEMA camps. Good luck. Molon Labe.
After reading the title, I was prepared to hate you... but after watching the video, I agree totally. It sucks that we have to jump through so many hoops and get a CCWP (when we should just be allowed to carry anyway). I can't wait to get back to the US... AND to TN. TX has been good since birth, but it's time for a change. Have fun!
The great state I live in requires a ccw to transport a weapon to the practice range and this is why I had to get one. 12 weeks and $280 later I received my permit. Good video I agree.
I'm with you, brother. I won't apply for a CCW permit. To me, it's just telegraphing to the government that you've got weapons, and you're then on record. I prefer to keep my gun ownership under the radar. I do not believe that the government has the right to regulate something that I'm constitutionally entitled to own, or carry. They've overstepped their bounds, and it's getting worse.
you make some valid points, and i would never register my firearms. still, i laugh at your remarks about "leftist pansies". i'm an armed leftist - i detest "private property", "free markets" and so much of the crap that you promote. i will give my life (and yours) to abolish the capitalist system.
@AnotherWob You detest private property and free markets? If you could get those things abolished you would have to give up your weapon that happens to be your private property. Insane!
Personally, I agree with you. As an aside, I'm gay, liberal, an absolute 2nd Amendment, and strong on defense - and I love my guns, rifles and shotguns. I know, it sounds like a contradiction, but it really isn't. Their aren't many of us out there, but we're here. And, as is often said, concerning the government taking away our guns, "From my cold, dead hand..."
Boils Down to... if most people did CC there would be alot more respect in the world...
knowing your bareing arms and so could the next person you see.. therefore i think there would be less disrespect in the world and reduce crime a little bit who knows..
but i do think that you should have to pass the background to own and carry aslong all is well and you know what your doing then i think you should be able to CC
Excuse me while I get my ass hairs in a knot over your vile insistence on making up your own mind and doing what you want. Shame on you. Go find a corner and feel bad for your self. You are harming the karma of the state. Sheeple should follow the rules as given.
Best video I've seen in a long time. I'm right there with you. Those of us who are preparing for whats coming are looked at as crazy. I see it if your not preparing for whats coming your crazy!!! Thank for saying what some of us are thinking. Keep it up!!
im so glad im not alone and the only one with that mindset, but how do you not let it get to you, knowing how dirty the government is and and police and all that?
@ TheVoiceofResistance you're not misinformed, you are anti-American. A bad person, a traitor. You know very well there are regular people doing time in jail for lack of knowledge of CCW laws. Your name rings a communist anti-American alarm inside my head. Scum.
It's an interesting argument - To allow everyone to carry whatever they want. Isn't that pretty much how it is now? Gun ownership is fairly easy even if you don't carry concealed. The CCW process is pretty lenient in most states so that just about anyone who wants to carry CONCEALED can carry. The other thing about PERMISSION (licensing) is that it involves traning in safety and handling . . . and not everyone grows up like you . . . they need training.
We saw the WML happen in New Orleans after Katrina. Your videos are great and informative. Here in PA our state Constitution states that PA residents have a lawful right to carry firearms openly in the public. We have a License to Carry Firearms (LTCF) just to avoid trouble while transporting guns. The LTCF isn't necessary in any part of the state except for Philadelphia. Checkout handgunlaw.us for good info about that
Oh my GOD, you didn't take the rounds out of the one pistol! The world is going to end ;) - Safe handling of a weapon I think is the same as disarming it for a camera.
And I think it's great we have to have background checks, that way when every bad guy goes to get a legitimate fire arm they will be stopped......... Oh wait, bad guys get ILLEGAL guns, really? Shit.
@ 6:06 you hit the nail on the head. Same as VT. I hate the fact I have to leave my EDC in the car when I go on VCU's campus because THEY WILL ARREST YOU if you have a gun on you. Problem their damn campus is completely entwined in the city. Theres alot of homeless, druggies, and even crazy ass kids in and around the campus. Something breaks out they expect people to wait for the campus/city police? WTF! Thats a 4 minute minimum average. And thats WITH ROL. Yeah people need to wake up. Take care
i love our country! but i fear our government! i just recently opened my eyes, lets say I've got a late start but i am now preparing for a shtf situation!
@ iRYANMB In another statement you refer to "The United States and HER laws"...Now I'm almost convinced you're a fem but the question is: Do you like men, women, or pretty boys? I'm sure you're afraid of our type (same people you grew up with). The Constitution, one could argue is a contract for those who choose to live in the USA. The only wrong way out of a contract is by defaulting on it. You can't change to suit your needs. Why aren't you in the kitchen?
@ iRYANMB You sound like a woman (based on the way you write). You remind me of Clarice from "The Silence of the Lambs". Quote you "I grew up around guns and hunting"...but you never did. Only the boys of the family were invited...right? Tell me Clarice why don't you come clean and tell us what happened to you that made you like you are & who you work for?
@ben5017 I was born and raised in the country... Several hundred acres. I grew up around guns and hunting. I now live in the city, have a cwp and conceal carry everywhere I go. So you need to wake up and stay alert of your surroundings. We don't live in the old west anymore. I am more prepared for shtf and wml than most reading this. I just do it LEGALLY!
Just watched the movie Apocalypto. I know it has nothing and a lot to do with this video/forum. Man came a long way...but we seem to have learned little. We have so many legislative limitations and "protections". Life has always been a struggle to survive, to get ahead, yet lately we seem to be taking one step forward and three steps back. Those Indians had traditions, respect, humbleness. Our society is in a downward spiral. Just a thought.
@TheWayItHappens Well, it depends on if its in a survival situation or a defense situation. Ill defend someone from being attacked or robbed, but if you need to survive like lets say during a riot or some kind of anarchy, they become a liability and their life is on them, yano?
Does a CCW not make you a target to the police when you get pulled over ... immagine police running license plates until they find CCW permits that are attached to their identity?
Your name will pull up that info to the police when they run your plate.
Great video with some good insights. I think too many people forget that we (the military) are made up of average people and even preppers like yourself, and this country is far too big to be governed successfully in that fashion. I think you had some great points, and the only reason I have a CCW is for the same reasons as you. The Constitution should be enough and there needs to be more people out there taking proactive steps to understand our firearms culture.
@igknotTheGreat I live in arizona, it is the best state tobe a gun owner. here in arizona I can pull my gun if you say "Im gonna kick your ass" and if you come at me after i pull it I can assume your going to take it now, then I can kill you, oh well one more wannabe gang banger out of the way, great laws here. as for tucson, it was all pussy politicians and liberal fags at that function. had people like me been there he would have got dropped fast.
Yea im 28; i remember walking down the street to my grandmas house after quail hunting with an empty shotgun over my shoulder. Now we have kids that dont undertsand the power of real weapons... Call of duty, modern warfare... their parents never hunted or had guns. Its an overbearing control issue. The government uses to save everyone from getting hurt. THIS IS LIFE AND WE WILL ALL DIE ONE DAY!. Stop saving the dipshits in society Darwin was on to something....
i think and everyone who is going to carry a gun needs to take some firearm classes both for safety and shooting accuracy. But i do agree that i dont want the government to have tabs on my guns. but i dont want some one thats uneducated and unsafe with firearms carrying them
i know the flaws with this statement but i feel its better, back in the 1800s when everyone had guns it was better. everyone had there morals and values and if you had a problem with someone you shot them
this speaks to me...even though i already share the same outlook...its just good to know when and i dont mean if, but WHEN the shits the fan, that there other like minded individuals out there to defend themselves and others, and eventualy rebuild society...i subscribed for a reason.. preach on sir
@subtac thanks for replying brother... and once again every thing youre saying here is perfectly logical and it makes me sick that society nowadays thinks otherwise...but we'll stand firm and we'll see who's laughing 20 years from now... it damn sure wont be the sheeople...
@ muddstrosity What are you afraid of? Please answer. We are well within our rights to demand what is ours by vitue of the constitution.
If anubody should move is you.I heard that in Venezuela the armed forces tale care of your safety (that's what they say).
BTW AK47s are Russian, Chinese, etc. Americans prefer more modern weapons. Don't come crying to us when an enemy is or criminal takes over your home and uses males & females alike to satisfy his deviant desires
Why do so many of you over-the-top gun rights guys seem like you're mentally ill? If you want unlimited freedom to own firearms, move to Afghanistan and live in a cave with your RPGs and AK47s.
@muddstrosity this is nothing personal muddstrosity. i don't have a CCW or have firearms in my possession. though i do intend to get my ccw and a pistol. so as you can see i think on both sides. this video from what i can tell is "why should we ask permission to protect ourselves" where ever you go help is minutes away when seconds count.
@muddstrosity A RESPECTABLE citizen with a CCW won't pull out a firearm unless he has to. but someone with no value on life, rights will do what anything to get what they want

GeorgiaShooter 1 week ago
@GeorgiaShooter True again. If honest people loose their gun right we wil be the one's defending ourselves with a knife facing off with a criminal who has a illegal gun. I don't like those odds. Laws only work for the honest citizen not the criminal. I'm feed up with more laws for criminals who don't give a damn about the law anyway. I agree 100 percent.
TheHambo58 1 week ago
@TheHambo58 Yeah but that's also when law abiding citizens would have to become criminals wide spread to defend themselves. Either way the government grows in size but I really liked your rational point of view. Take care my friend, grow some maters :)

Do you need a "permit" to vote?
You're right, it's really none of the "states" business whether citizens carry guns.

Also JL had the advantage of scoping out the crowd beforehand & preselecting high threat targets.
waltereg0 2 weeks ago
@waltereg0 You are right on all points, but I'm not sure I understand where you are trying to go with it. However, if more people were to actually carry even the psycho's may take some pause before shooting up a crowd. If they see a lot of weapons they may decide to move on until they found a safer crowd of unarmed people. If it was the norm for everyone to carry it would be hard to find a safer crowd. Psychos will always be with us... Might as well try to protect yourself anyway.
subtac 2 weeks ago
@subtac >Exactly right. Criminal just target gun free zones because they know honest people will follow the law. We should be able to carry anywhere. The criminal like that are really cowards at heart and won't chance it they think someone might shoot back.
TheHambo58 1 week ago
I am a gun owner & grew up in Tucson, same high-school as Gabby Giffords. Saying an armed person could have saved her is naive nonsense. The shooter went straight up to her, drew his Glock & shot her in the head. Then he immediately shot others. If you'd been there you wouldn't have been able to "see him coming". He has the advantage of surprise & mental preparation - you'd hesitate & then draw & fire under the influence of stress/fear that the calm psycho shooter doesn't feel. It's chaotic.
waltereg0 2 weeks ago
@waltereg0 its not that he could have saved her, but after he shot her and shot the others that could have been stopped.
goatkiller68 2 weeks ago
I agree, the concept of a CCW is ridiculous. It's moronic that we need a law/s to re-establish our rights.
You mentioned Tucson, AZ. That was just before Constitutional Carry iirc but, at the time, anyone in AZ that could legally own a gun could carry it open. There was no excuse for every person in that parking lot to not be armed yet you cannot find one mention of an armed citizen at that scene on that day. We need to change the mindset of the sheeple or we will always be fighting these laws.
