  • 5 - classic... +++

  • The music had so much character and musicians focused more on the melodies back then. Most video game scores sound quite generic these days and I'd really struggle to tell them apart.

  • @wadehjb That's exactly my opinion to (and it´s been for years)! Totally agree with you on that one.

  • @wadehjb This is because they were made in the 80's and these musicians were influenced by the music around them at the time. The 80's was the synth era, if you listen to pop music from the 80's the majority of stuff had melodies, even in 80's rock it pretty much always had some lead guitar melody or solo as the main feature. Music today doesn't have this as the fashion now days in minimal. Although we are long overdue for a change in style.

  • @leerees Great point and I totally agree.

Music today seems to be an industry controlled by record companies rather than by genuine musicians.

  • Which is the song of 1:33 ?

  • Amigaaaaa! <3

  • 2 dislikes ? must be 1 for Sony 1 for Microsoft because they are utterly pissed that they can't make games or music like the Amiga could produce. 3rd dislike will be from Nintendo shortly.....

  • 2 people have played too much Nintendo games instead of learning about the advanced computers! xD

  • Now i know where La Roux gets her music from.

  • sometimes I wonder why new pc games dont use midi style music. Maybe to retro ? But I like it a lot.

  • theres the M&H band version of popcorn as the amiga version

  • where can i find or download Estrayk - Arcane??

  • i can't find Estrayk - Arcane why?? :(

  • OMG... that brings back memories.

I remember the A500, when you wanted more RAM, you had to drill a hole into the plastic, for the on and off switch of the extra RAM module. Brilliant. I miss mine now lol. Thanks. Bastards! :P

  • @higuma75 WTF why would you do that? it was just put an a501 in set the date and time on the built in clock then forget about it.

  • The Amiga was the best computer for many years, like my friend said "Too bad they didn't develop it further instead of the PC, then we would have much better computers today".

  • AMiga is better than Atari of course

  • Info for the song Paradox03 (???) i cannot find it

  • Last song,interference by virgill.fantastic module.

  • Anyone know where the melody at 2:12 is from?

  • Love that sound. Reminds me of my childhood ! :'(

  • somehow better then todays industrialized music.

  • @21jumppp agree....midi music...but better...low-res graphics but better gameplay ...20 years ago and still brilliant

  • 1990; I was 10 years old and was invited round my mate's brother's house, where we sat and played on his Amiga all day long. God, I remember being absolutely blown over by the intro to "Blood Money" - that tune will always stay with me!

At that time, to me, the Amiga had an almost unreal, God-like quality to it, I just loved it! What a great machine it was.

  • Hot Butter "Popcorn" somewhere there around 2:40

  • I got to wonder if an Amiga computer could run a dos game like Jazz Jackrabbit.

  • Comment removed

  • Yes you probably could do it with an emulator or by hardware, yes there is i386 hardware dotherboard for the A4000 but they are rare. The emu will try to run an 286 if I remember correct if you got a 030 turbocard like the Blizzard 1230IV or similar installed.
