One simple way to know how power of remembering past life works in people: Why some can remember what they did 30 years ago, while some cannot even tell what they did a week before? People can go to the moon, shoot themselves up out of this earth "bowl" to explore the universe...but becoming a Buddha is so far to reach !

We have no way of knowing what the Buddha was for or against, but there are no texts which talk against reincarnation. All Buddhist traditions speak of it in their texts. Rejection of reincarnation in Buddhism is a purely modern American stance which in it's self is fading away as people are receiving higher quality teachings and having their misunderstandings corrected. @BuddhainRough Hi BuddhainRough. Bless you. Really, the Buddha spoke a lot about reincarnation. He even spoke about his previous lives. If you read what the Buddha said about his previous lives, you will see that the Buddha taught that reincarnation is real. Please read the Buddha's teachings on his previous lives.
