@speaktheworld Because this was an interview for CCTV-9, an English speaking channel. The guy's English is fine. He has a bit of accent but it is not that annoying.

I hate it when the interviewer use the Chinese pronunciation on Chinese words in a sentence. It just sound weird and inconsistent, better to use the English pronunciation instead.
