2500episodes of subtitled anime in i know probably more than a few hundred words/phrases and most of the vocal grammar (confirmed through legit sources). haven't learned much of the writing tho :-/. just "dog", "too fat", a few numbers, a few hiragana, and a few other random words :-p.

why would you want a dub :-/ ? meanings get lost. phrases lose emphasis (or gain it where it doesn't make sense). you can't translate statements about the language itself either and that's fairly common within animes. you also end up with censored dubs from time to time too. bleh. just get used to reading the subtitles while watching the animation. it only took me maybe a dozen episodes tops to get it down smooth. (and what DudeNumberX said is true too)

Simply because he or she wants to, I assume. Personally, I usually wait for the English dub of an anime to come before looking at it. Its the oddest thing really. I have nothing against the Japanese language, and may find it intresting to learn later in my life but...I just can't bring myself to watching an anime series that's not an english.

At the most I've seen....one anime, all the way through only by reading the subtitles. Strangest thing really.

all dubs done by Funimation are good basically. all the ones put on Cartoon Network at one point or another. the ones you listed + Code Geass (sort of... but then again. i've watched the Jap. audio for code geass so of course english won't sound as good).
