  • DEAR VIEWERS,

FOR ASTONISHING FACTS ABOUT SCIENCE, JUST TYPE IN THE SEARCHING BOX:

    Quran and Science

SEVEN PARTS! YOU MUST LIKE THEM!

  • please view my profile and videos :) spread the word because im entering americas got talent. THANK YOU!

  • who needs wood and matches when you go camping? Just bring bucket fulls of the this chemical reaction

  • ill keep this in mind when im on mars

  • wow nice sound

  • ha i just did this at school yeatersay and today for chemoween it was really cool. we also had a rubins tube and a ton of other stuff

  • can you explain how you do your expierments.

  • When he used the H2SO4 which is a sulfur type acid and dropped theKMnO4 Potassium Permanganate with the acetone it made it ignited in a combustion!

  • nice workbench is it granite?

Hope ur not doing this in your kitchen

  • you get similar effects with sodium and h2o

  • or yuo could just use a lighter.........

  • Might not be a match, but it certainly is a match head.

  • Yay Grenade :D

  • It's so easy a cave man can do it!

  • caveman doesn't have any ability to produce H2SO4 & acetone so your argument is invalid.

  • @aleet well actually he said it was so easy a caveman could do it he didnt say a caveman could make the stuff so your argument is invalid.

  • they should make a kit for wilderness surviors like this instant fire :)

  • Mn2O7 is a very dangerous oxidant. You'd better place a layer of sand in the beaker.

If not ,the glass beaker may break into pieces....

  • fire without matches, fire with a lighter lol

  • Only kidding .

  • This is absolutely bolloks. Who cares , I stuck my Weener in plug socket and my pubes went on fire.

  • lmao XD eww !

  • this expiriment works with manganese dioxide and glycerin also

  • nice!!!

  • cool

  • dry u fucker

  • i think it is potassium.

  • WITCH WITCH BURN HIM BURN HIM

  • what phenomenon is this?

  • hhahhahahhahhahahah fu that was halarious

  • Dimangane heptoxide is unstable and highly reactive with organic substances such as acetone. Even if you don't mix it with organic substances, it may ignite or explode under pressure.

  • cool

  • are you serious?

  • well just look alike cause sodium when put with water can become fire/ = explosion

  • what are you talking about? i dont know who i replied to or what youre replying to...? and im aware of the properties of sodium and potassium.

  • I have never seen this kind of experiment before, and it's extremely cool! Fantastic! Keep up the good work in chemistry!

  • like it but the second one is the coolest!

  • Billy was a chemist's son, but now he is no more...What he thought was H2O was H2SO4!

  • Comment removed

  • wait, is he putting the H2SO4 on the KMnO4 first or second?

  • My friend put h2s04 on his hand as a joke. When he washed it off, there was a mark. Is it going to heal, or will it be a permanent scar?

  • depends if it was conc H2SO4, it shouldn't do much if its dilute, i split conc H2SO4 on my hand about a month ago, not as a joke, and i have a tiny scar about have a cm in diameter, not to bad.

  • Reminds me to H2O2 on your hand. It colours your skin white and hurts a little. The white spot disappears after half an hour or so.

  • your friend is an idiot. that could've been serious if it was a highly concentrated solution.

  • A professional experiment!

    Awesome

  • nice :O

  • make more videos!

  • why go to this video if thats the kind of moronic thing you like to say!? Idiot!

Nice video! I like thinks which explode/catch fire/change color without a normal explanation like this, or NI3 exploding with touch or two colorless solutions mixing to form a bright colored precipitate

  • Hi all! Some1 can tell me were can i find KMnO4 easily? (I get H2SO4 from school's laboratories...) Tnx!

  • It's very common chemical thru hard to find because used for making some drugs. Try pharmacy they might sell some (0.5g bag - plenty for this experiment) for feet bath or wound healing.

  • omg that's so cool!i luv chemistry!!!!aaa gosh that's awesome ;DDD

  • My guess is that the heat liberated by the reaction is enough to combust the acetone (as there is sufficient oxygen available) but I don't know this for a fact.

  • Mn2O7 doesn't even need a fuel to spontaneously decompose(explode), it can be struck with a hammer.

  • omgzzz thats so cool x]

  • nice :D

  • ik wens dit ik dat op mijn vriendenhoofd kon zetten. enkel kidding, aardige video

  • if u take 9Hb + Co2= m2

  • hee koen!!! al die moeite voor een vlam... pak gewoon een lucifer:P

  • What is the balanced equation?

  • 2KMnO4 + H2SO4 -> K2SO4 + 2HMnO4

  • and: 2 HMnO4---> Mn2O7 + H2O

  • My Bad... I see now

  • manganese heptoxide is mn2o7, not KMnO4

  • i think he meant manganese permanganate

  • what exactly happened reaction wise?

  • isn't that oxidation of glicerin by potassium permanganate??

    ...nice explosion.... ^^

  • No, it's a bit different ;).

  • @ciaociao89 no its sulfuric acid reacting with potassium permanganate to form manganese heptoxide

  • lol, I was llokin at the ingredients and like wow... And then I went back to Chem. class and thought H2SO4... Sulfuric acid! Of course there's going to be fire!

  • ?? sulfuric acid doesnt even burn, nor do most of it salts, so why is it "ofcourse"?

  • when kmno4 is mixed with sulfuric acid it creats a strong oxidider that reacts with organic material eg. acetone or paper

  • Mn2O7 is fun.
