DOW 2 is actually the best Real Time Strategy on the market. In case people would like to play that for no cost, you can certainly find that total video game over at DOW2DownloadXcom (replace X with . ). I did, and I want to say to you the 1st player campaign is outstanding!

I wish games companies would stop ruining games and people's time installing them by experimenting with new things, like buying a game and having to download it on steam, and also on the battlefield 2142 expansion, you got a dvd case, but what was inside it was a piece of paper with a code telling you to go to a certain website, set up an account, and download it. Great way to annoy someone with the fact that they have to wait even longer to play their game.
But now I have it I must say that the Games for Windows Live system is really good, and it works well with Steam too, you only have to install it, and then it just puts it on steam.
The game play is excellent and simpler than the original DoW base building and upgrading thing, and the campaign is excellent. I like the way you only get to use 4 squads through the single player, so it's easy to organize. I also like the fact that you can give wargear to any of your squads, and experiment.
I REALLY hate the games for windows live system. Its so complicated it couldnt be any worse, and in this kind of game its also completely useless as most people will want to play online and for that they need the original game anyway. Actually the LIVE system is the only thing that prevents me from buying the game as I had enough of this bullcrap with Gears of War.
The GFWL(Games for Windows Live) is really not a problem. Using that + steam really works wonderfully. There is some whining from certain ignorant people yes, but they really just need something to blame their crap computer/internet on. I've played over 500 games and never had problems with GFWL. Neither have my friends. And in a recent community forum post everybody agreed that GFWL is working perfectly.

Banshees are excellent units, but they're glass cannons -- they die within seconds of ranged fire, or even sustained melee combat. The beta 1.4 patch did give them a buff, but they're still fragile as all hell.
Uh, Guardians do rather terrible damage in DoW2, but the patch has also increased their ranged weapon damage. Not to mention they're fragile as shit.
Shuriplats: easy to disrupt, fragile, cost 30 power.

I don't know, I really enjoy the game and I dislike RTS games. It's easier to get into as you're not macroing over hundreds of units. Perhaps though more hardcore RTS players won't enjoy it as much because of those reasons.
But basically, Eldar decadents caused the birth of a Chaos God, Slaanesh, which killed most of the Eldar and destroyed their Empire and forcing many of them into Craftworlds.
but when the eldar die out a new god from there souls will bring a death to chaos ONCE AND FOR ALL!!! then spacemarines will clean up and belive in a man with about 30 hip replaments and 10,000 years of wrinkles. great!
This game was fun, but i gotta say i expected more. This game was good but nothing compared to DC. I was hoping from the beginning that you could build a base at least. When playing singel player skirmish, it's not fun at all. DC is so much better skirmish. But i don't regret playing through this game, i'm glad i didn't buy the game at least.
These guys are one of my favourite factions too. Too bad they don't have Dark reapers with Reaper Launchers and fire dragons with Fusion Guns and Melta bombs. That would be awesome.
I think they should have separate the two races because additional units are quite powerful. Imagine if they added all Chaos Daemon units and all Daemonhunter units for Chaos Space Marines and Space Marines. Everybody would play those 2 races.

well, i did some more reading and you are correct. The average space marine is 9 feet tall but it depends on the chapter and which planit their from. Like you said but the Iron hands and the black templars are 9 feet tall in height and the dreds are 18 feet tall im sure of. Their books said they were. Other chapters space marines range from 7 -12 feet tall. and their dreds can range from anything like 12 feet to 18. It really depends on who made them.

I haven't played them but from what i've heard, a suppressing heavy weapon platform for them is only like 270
Which is very cheap, compared to a 3-man marine squad costing 500
Guardians do extreme damage compared to the table-top.
2 howling banshee squads and say bye to your army.
Plus their heroes have the potential to go right in the middle of your army, cause massive havoc and then get away with it.

Yeah carnifex's will win. But the most the Tyranids will be able to build is about 2 before the game ends.3 If they have most the map and save alot.
They cost 600 req and 135 power.
That's like half the Avatar cost.
5 fexes alone would accumulate to 3000 req and 675 power....errmmm
Getting that just for fexes is unreal especially in teams.
Besides, even if 5 carnifexes were built then who in their right mind would send 1 Avatar to fight all of them?
Mass firepower can easily kill a fex

Why did you run to that fire in the first place? the area is not that big and it's your own fault if you blobbed up those gaunts, but yeah the immolate is powerful but not OP neither is warlock.
If you want to see something overpowered, just try Ravener Alpha.
Banshees without support of conceal/distort field or channeling runes DO drop like flies.

I don't know, I really enjoy the game and I dislike RTS games. It's easier to get into as you're not macroing over hundreds of units. Perhaps though more hardcore RTS players won't enjoy it as much because of those reasons.

This game was fun, but i gotta say i expected more. This game was good but nothing compared to DC. I was hoping from the beginning that you could build a base at least. When playing singel player skirmish, it's not fun at all. DC is so much better skirmish. But i don't regret playing through this game, i'm glad i didn't buy the game at least.

took the Chaos Daemon as part of there
race
and Space marines took the Grey Knights
as part of them so i think no Daemonhunters
race on the upcoming expansion (Or is it...)

I think they should have separate the two races because additional units are quite powerful. Imagine if they added all Chaos Daemon units and all Daemonhunter units for Chaos Space Marines and Space Marines. Everybody would play those 2 races.

yes really! A drednaught is 3 times the hight of a normal human being. The average height in the 41, millennia for a human is 6 feet tall. 3x6 makes it 18 feet. You would hate to go up against something that tall, wouldnt you?

No,they aren't,they are described as taller than 7,2feet.But take marneus calgar for example,he is more than 12feet tall.Welll,generally,it depends on which chapter we're talking about.

I have over 20 warhammer 40,000 books.. and over and over again they are described to be 18 feet. Its basically one space marine on top of another.

But i read that space marines are over 7.2 feet tall(i forgot where),but still,they have also noted that space marine height depends on which chapter you're talking about,for example,salamanders are shorter than other chapter(because of really strong gravity on their planet),while blood angels are taller(dunno why)..

well, i did some more reading and you are correct. The average space marine is 9 feet tall but it depends on the chapter and which planit their from. Like you said but the Iron hands and the black templars are 9 feet tall in height and the dreds are 18 feet tall im sure of. Their books said they were. Other chapters space marines range from 7 -12 feet tall. and their dreds can range from anything like 12 feet to 18. It really depends on who made them.
