  • BASS-BARI LOCK AT 2:20 :D:D:D:D

  • @jonathan1234911

    I noticed this, absolutely amazing.

  • Last note gives me chills every time.

  • Notice how Tim allowed his vibrato to come in on 2:34 and switched back for the ending note. Wow, What control!!

  • can some one tell me where i can find the score for this song cuz i need it fast haha

  • Awesome bass-bari lock at 2:18!

AMAZING LAST CHORD!! Their best song!!

  • Eargasm at 2:39

  • Holy overtones batman.

  • the a-men as a post is genius.

  • Wow! Wow! Wow! -- now it's time for me to seek out a CD -- thanks guys! Dave :)

  • God Bless Vocal Spectrum! Thank you for singing God's praise. Way cool.

I pray someday I'll be able to sing like Chris. (A guy can dream, right?)

  • 22 second post there by Tim Waurick and no doubt he had a bit left too! Just fantastic.

  • one of my favorite pieces done by vs

  • Beautiful

  • simply flawless tone...WOW. that's all one can say...WOW! beautiful!

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sweet overtone at the end!

  • OMG at 2:18! Sick chord! Beautiful savior indeed!

  • Pakez..... FAIL!

  • WOW!!

  • Flat my butt... that's AMAZING!

  • Hmmm...I suppose you must have perfect pitch and must also be a world class singer because to criticize something of this caliber would take incredible expertise.

  • A different key as compared to what ? the version you sing in church ?

more than likely they pitched it to suit their voices and the range of the tenor ...and the 18 second post at full voice by the tenor is enough for me to say...GREAT !

  • I'm used to Key of F. This is is transposed a half step down to what I'm used to. (E) Nothing bad abt this performance at all

  • My church's hymnal has this song in Eb. I suppose that's wrong too?

  • No such thing as a wrong key. I was just inconsiderate to transposing. My most sincere apologies

  • the range of the tenor?

theres no such thing as the range of tim waurick. "the range" of noise you might hear throughout your life was modelled on tim waurick =)

  • @tigerman4 You talk about the "range of the tenor." You do realize that this band's tenor can hit any note humans can possibly hear, right?

  • @tigerman4 It might have actually been arranged to suit the Gas House Gang's voices.

  • you're kidding, right?????

  • Yeah, lol. My friends in my schola cantorum dared me to since I have a YouTube. 2-month long joke for $20

  • It sounds like someone turned the volume up on that last chord. Awesome job fellas!

  • These guys rank up there with The Suntones, Bluegrass Student Union, and Interstate Rivals for those old enough to remember those great quartets.

  • This is the "Good News Quartet" arrangement ?

  • with a 22 second post from TIM...HOLY !

  • odd, same arrangement we sang only they switched parts around... that was the lead line that Tim was singing with the post... incredible none the less!!!!

  • Who arranged this, and where can I buy it?

  • oh my gosh, eric's tone on the last chord is like a frickin.. dragon dinosaur thing.... that rings a lot of overtones......

  • If I ever have a new quartet, it's going to be called "The Frickin' Dragon Dinosaur... Things."

    Awesome.

  • I love it when tim and eric switch parts for the post... Very clever. Awesome job as usual for VS

  • This is absolutley amazing..

    So beautiful

  • I love this song. I have it on my iPod and listen to it every day, along with the rest of their songs.

  • same :D..this tag gives me chills

  • holy crap, DESTRUCTION of that last chord!!

  • Amen. That was ASTOUNDING. How do you even DO that?

  • Look up Keepsake Blue Skies, and watch Tony DeRosa there Bari (lead of Max Q) post for 25 seconds.

  • How about keepsake how deep is the ocean if you're going to say something that's supposed to be cooler. That's tony inbetween a Bb and B because they sharped. Or cruella is a better display from Tim. Or most of the Four Voices songs with Lestor. Anything Kipp Buckner. And no need to consistently VS bash because you have a crush on Tony D

  • I'm not bashing VS at all. I think Tim is by far the best person in the quartet period. And if you sing baritone like me, any bari would some day want to be Tony.

  • Much bigger fan of Gary Lewis or Patrick Claypool. Obviously Tony was and still is extremely good. Just not my favorite. Plus I figured I would ellaborate on other cool things to watch

  • I agree with you. Im a Huge fan of gary lewis and patrick claypool.

  • Wow... that was a SERIOUSLY long note that he held out at the end there! Good gracious! That was so amazing :-) I'm so glad that I found this group... I love their repertoire.

  • He held a high F#, full-voice, fff, for like 20 seconds......

AND in tune the whole time!!!!!

    simply amazing, guys!

  • oh my god did you hear the ring on that last chord? wooaaaa hahah

  • wow. so good! i want to make a barbershop quartet.

  • You really should! You need one of two things:

    1. Three other like-minded guys, OR

    2. Software and equipment such as that used by bhsnerd, FineyLeee, nrbo085, and several others here on YouTube. Check out their MultiTracks!

  • Whose arr. is this please? Just beautiful.

  • I think one of the guys in the original "Riptide" quartet arranged it. Eric King? Rich Lewellyn?

  • I believe it's Joe Liles. correct me if I'm wrong.

  • I'm wrong. The arranger is Tom Gentry.

  • Thank you

  • So impressive. Awe inspiring.

  • Truly heavenly, I agree, that final chord is so tight you can feel it resonate. Amazing!!

  • It did, actually, at least with my speakers. That note hit the resonant frequency of them. That's always bizarre.

    But this group is amazing.

  • I think the final chord in that song rings better than any other ending chord they do. WOW!!!

  • No kidding! The OVERTONES had overtones!!

That made EVERY hair on my forearms stand at FULL attention! ½ of them SALUTED!!

  • awesome awesome!

  • my favorite arr ever
