Rescued from egg, spied on robots communing with psychic British pink stuff, had a chat with it, were suddenly escaping on some enchanted bacon which turned in to a pink slug and finally silly-putty... and all that is the least grotesque part so far. Some of this is hideous. But genius. he grotesqueness is nessecary. It conveys organistic interdependancy brilliantly. Not much sign of predator-prey relationships yet so I dunno how it all evolved. Its a disgusting paradise I never want to visit..

in part three and giant lizard smashes the metal men around and rescues them from the egg, thinking the eggs are hers. in the french version they lie around nude in the nest and it's implied they had slept together. considering that's edited out of the english version i'm not sure why part three is hard to find.

For those of you who are wondering what goes on in part three, the hero is put in a giant egg with a woman and revived. Then Godzilla shows up and wrecks the miniature Ultraman knock offs. Then Godzilla picks up the egg and shakes it around a bit, and Silvain plants a rapidly growing cactus that breaks the egg. Godzilla sets them down safely and gives them each a thorough tonguing. Srsly.

Did you know James Cameron is a fan of adult animation and anime including Rene Laloux's works? this movie with FP were some of his inspirations to his new film. He also borrowed from Nausicaa, Castle in The Sky, Princess Mononoke, A Man Called Horse, Dune, Star Wars, Willow, Heavy Metal (Both magazine and movie) and Star Trek the series at times.
