How do you track the same affiliate link when its inserted at 3 different places eg one in a post, one in an image in the sidebar and one in text in the sidebar?

You just change the URL of all your affiliate links to the new URL you are given from the tracking software.

So all 3 links will be the same URL that the tracking software gives you.
