Its an imaginary line that runs between two characters that the camera cannot cross. By the camera crossing this imaginary line, it will look like the characters traded places and cause confusion to the viewer.

This was just great,
The sound was kinda distracting because of the background noises that kept changing from shot to shot but considering how fast it was done...spot on.
