Listen when he sings the line: there's a little black spot on the sun today.

You can clearly hear two voices that both sound like Sting.

One is produced by Stings real voice through a microphone (that's obviously on) and the other voice probably comes from a tape or cd that is playing in the background.

It kicks in at the beginning of the video and around 3 or 4 minutes later when he sings: on the sun today...

This technique is used by a lot of modern artists too (Madonna, Lil' Wayne, Gaga)
