It looks like there's a decent enough arcade racer hidden beneath the generic music and cheap 'n' nasty interface and menu design. The graphics still betray their early PS2/XBox/GC roots but more from a design aspect than a technical one.
Paradise was my first (and so far only) experience of Burnout and it's interesting to see just how different the series was when it originated.
@jwb1024 Id reccomend burnout 3 dude thats a great game, for me burnout paradise is when the series was losing its wy i couldn'get any fun out of that one.
I think Burnout was a sleeper hit when it originally came out on the Gamecube. I was totally unaware of the game at release, but then kept hearing about it. I played it just before Burnout 2 came out and I found it to be pretty decent. But Burnout 2 just blew it away... then Burnout 3 blew Burnout 2 away. At least in my opinion.
@Croooow111 I agree crow, ive found from playing a few of the games recently each game go better an better untill they got to games like burnout paradise which i just don't get lol it bores me senseless :)
From playing the GC version, I think it's a pretty average racer that wouldn't be remembered if it didn't have the crash replays. Thank goodness they focused on that in the sequels!
I had 2 hours practice for start and stop/parking yesterday and had my 1st lesson today, i did about 6 hours driving today with the odd tea break lol and it went waybetter than i had expected, ive been all round town and along the narrow dodgy country lanes, it was brilliant, back out tomorrow :)
ur just too funny pete

It's fascinating how one publisher (EA) changed the image of the franchise to a more rockier vibe.

@timspacedout87 Yeah usually EA screw up games but i prefer the rockier vibe tbh :)
