the only mics that are on and usable are the ones miced up at the bottom right.. the rest arnt real amps, just fillers (slayer do this a lot).. the band hears what they play from the foldback speakers (the little speakers on the ground in front of each performer on stage) which is why they rarely move from those positions much

they have been got on the stage a little late in this show.It was clear that they had sound problems.because the sound tech was running around, doing something.when megadeth got on the stage the yell of audience was higher than the sound.people got quiet to hear megadeth most of the songs.There is a rumor that it was a sabotage...

The only cabs that are real cabs are the two with the microphones next to them - all the other Marshall cabs are dummy cabinets. They don't have speakers in them, there is no amp head, just an empty box made to look like a legit cab. Even the lights on them are fake.

i remember being at the mayhem fest of 2011 in hartford, daves speakermic (hooked up infront of his cab to be put over p.a.) fucking blew, and he completely walked off stage after throwing his vmnt "fear" accross the stage then kicking it.

all i could think was holy shit dude, that is such a nice guitar, why would you do that...

but then again, hes david fucking mustaine, why the fuck not right?!? but that was my first time seeing megadeth, thank god i got to see em before i die. <3MegadetH

@AlexM1175 He gets this from the industry standard. Not a single one of those stacks were mic'd so those were just onstage sound fill primarily the band. I bet those things are driven to only about 1/10 of their total power. That is if they are even being used at all, The 250 watt speakers laying on there sides are the ones more than likely used at most events.

Yes they're using Pa's here, but they're using the amps to hear what they're playing on stage, rather than using in-ear monitors, like, say Metallica does. You see Megadeth and Slayer with cabs, but none with Metallica. They isolate their cabs backstage, so you don't see them.
