  • 1:06... what happened with the engine?? he's pushing the throttle 100% and the engine lost some power...

  • Imagine these V10 engines in the 2008 cars

  • 0:40 = OMG

  • Wow look at the back wing!

  • anyone else notice his revs drop on the strait after ascari?? 1:05

  • @OozyCrayfish yaa think its because his gear is too short and lift for at split second and then back on again,to make it pull

  • @OozyCrayfish it sounds like he got wheelspin, if you listen/watch the tach as he's going down the straight.. it spikes from ~17 to 18k, then it slides back down to catch the wheels.

  • Yeah there was plenty of fuel I agree, but the corner @ 0:31 was pretty much off of the race track!

  • Heiko und Chris sind so geil !

  • tiene ruedas el auto

  • kimi has full load of fuel with him.....imagine his fuel load is lesser.....he willl be faster than speed of light XD

  • Kimi did this lap in a full tank of fuel, freaking brilliant lap!!!!!

  • 1:05 he lost throttle a bit?

  • @Pingu123489 Usually a burned clutch acts like that, maybe it's almost worn out, it's a Mclaren afterall.

  • I watched this because I knew "2005" implies some epic V10 sounds.

  • we will see more season 2012....

  • Anyone notice him lifting on 6th gear before Parabolica? 1:00

  • where is the part where i "hear" something???

  • 1:05 look at RPM......

    WTF?!

  • hdnrLuminous.music

  • 355,7 km/h that's INSANE!!

  • o love this sound!

  • Man those v10s sounded badass.

  • i think that V10 sound is better than the actual v8 sound . and only the god know how the futur microscopic 1.6l v6 turbo would be .

  • @casawi1986: Think about that , its a V10 with only 3.0 L

The RPM Power is fucking amazing ,.. After 2005 ,a Formula Car never gets so much Power than this MP 4-20 Mclaren,.. The Real Power is a secret but , many experts say they have over 980 HP

  • Comment removed

  • West disapproves of the rear wing angle

  • good days when F1 was all about straight line speed and overtaking

    now its almost impossible.

  • He didn't leave a single inch to spare on that lap

  • F1 is the pinnacle of motor sports..now they downsize engines so smaller teams with smaller budget can enter F1? F1 is about being fast , and of course you need loads of money for R&D to build a faster car...and the overtaking you see now in F1 sucks, no drama, and boring,i might as well watch GP2..DRS is stupid but KERS is good for the sport's future in my opinion..... i miss the v10 especially the f1 william bmw sound in 2003 tho..

  • this year's cars very nice

  • Man! Why don't F1 cars sound like this one no more? SNIF SNIF

  • 3 people are scared by the engine´s sound, as they thought, V8 were the real deal...*facepalm

  • bring back the V10!!!!!!!!!!!!! FUCK OFF ALL THOSE HEALTHY RULES ARE BULLSITH, NO FUCKIN SENSE!!!!! bring back those times

  • 0:40 at lesmo .. hair-raising! only kimi can go so deep into the kerbs! disturbed a few pieces of gravel there...

  • BÄMM - In your face !

In that year, Kimi would have been unbeateble, if the car would´nt broke down every 20 laps.

  • Sorry but toyotas budget was no where near 2 billion. Roughly about $450 +/- million during this time frame.

  • these cars have the most beautiful sound! 2005 will always be remembered as the pinnacle after the regulations et in motion by senna's death in 1994. We can lament the rules having to change again but as you can see, these cars are going 370km/h+, and the problem of soaring costs (toyota team spent about 2 billion dollars that year) created an impossible situation. I do feel that f1 cars today are too slow and the circuits too unattractive, but I think the re-entry of turbo's in 2014 is great.

  • such a beast.

  • This is real Formula 1! Nor that slow shit!

  • Didnt Senna die in 2014?

  • @daniel987878

    no, he died 1994 ;)

  • @TobiX09 Oh 1994 BC. Now it is clear.

  • 2008 cars, 2004 engines and slicks!

    THATS WHAT WE NEED!

  • Kimi - wspaniały kierowca!

  • ive got bad news for formula 1 fans. "At a meeting of the World Motor Sport Council in December it was announced F1 would switch from the current 2.4 litre V8s to 1.6 litre, four cylinder turbo units to make the sport more environmentally friendly."

  • @87Turkish Ferrari complained about it among others and it has been changed to V6 engines.

  • 1:05 What the hell happens to the engine, when kimi changes to the 6th gear?

  • @Ernszt i think the clutch slipped slightly, whether he did this deliberately or not to not need to go to 7th gear i don't now....but that's what it sounds like to me :)

  • i remember monza in 2004 and 2005 had speeds of up to 370 km/h down the pit straight.

  • I love Mimi forever.

  • 0:38 first Lesmo...AWE-INSPIRING

  • @SLaYD666 Yeah, they lost about 200bhp when they lost 2 cylinders, and lost that sound. You're probably right about Montoya leaving, because he retired halfway through the first season with the V8's :P

  • I don't know how many people on here know this, but during this race, Juan Pablo Montoya achieved the fastest ever speed recorded during a F1 race, of 372.6 km/h (231.5 mph).

  • @Slashbag69

the official top speed is 359,9 km/h

  • @Slashbag69 and where is montoya now. hes driving taxis in nscar

  • @casawi1986 I never said that made him a good F1 driver. I was merely stating a fact. Read what I say before you make assumptions.

  • @Slashbag69 It wasn't during this race, it was during Monza test in August (he did 1.19.813)

  • @Slashbag69 that my dear, is just half of truth..

  • @Slashbag69

Year, Montoya is faster than Kimi

  • @Slashbag69

Yeah, you really need to bring the V10's back and up the straight speeds.

They became more dangerous after they could go to corners faster due to lighter weight :) Irony..

  • @Slashbag69

I'm pretty sure it was during one of the Practice sessions!

  • @Slashbag69 if only F1 circuit are all in straight.....LOL

  • @chanyiwei and he mean this lap(monza) montoya get a high speed during race which mean the tank got a lot amount of fuel..and raikkonen this lap i only saw 355.7km/h only during qualify...

  • There used to be a sport called F1.It had everything:speed, emotions and adrenaline. We feel really nostalgic about that time.

  • @blerand91

What time...the time when Schumacher won it all?!

2005-2010 were some of the best sesons ever! This is what happens sometimes with only one team dominating...just like 2002 and 2004....or a large part of the 90's!

The F1 cars today could look and sound better, but F1 was'nt better back then...just different! Nostalgia is a powerfull psychological force!

  • @Michaelingolfhansen Yeah.I'm not saying there aren't brilliant drivers left for this sport. But these days F1 is more a bussiness and a service for rich and powerful people and less entertainment for the fans all around the world. How many unnecessary Asian tracks are in the calendar nowdays?.Answer me.It is getting a bit boring to watch the same drivers and the same cars win every weekend, and what's worst with these stupid rules it is losing its originallity.

  • Will you two shut the fuck up!!!!!!!!

  • fastest driver in fastest car on fastest track, how the hell did he not win?

  • The 3 idiots who dislike this are :

    1.Fernando Alonso

    2.Giancarlo Fisichella

    3.Flavio Briatore

  • @IbneZayd and one more 4.Lewis Hamilton

  • @IbneZayd Why would Alonso dislike this?

  • 0:41 ba ba americano lmao

  • is there anyone who says turbo cars were fastest...

  • 355 KM/H :O

  • If people didn't complain about there not being enough action, so says the FIA, then the cars would be much faster, have better tyres and choose fuel load. Also they want a " Green Look ", so says the FIA like many other motorsport across the globe....I blame Al Gore.

  • thumbs up from 2006 for all types of racing started turning gay

  • the cars of 2005 would fuck KERS and DRS combined together.....MISS THE V10'S SOOOOOOO MUCH DAMN!!

  • I say F1 would be the best with 1990-1993 rules with total technical freedom. No engine freeze, no engine allocation, no rev limit, no controled tires. The only thing I would keep from today are the safety standards. Other than that, let the engineers play!

  • bad clutch...? 1:05

  • @massblast92 Yeah. Seems like either that or he lifted. Can't really imagine either though.

  • I think I just got a hard-on.

  • zr1 > f1 cars

  • @mustkillu135 hahahahahahahah

  • haha questions? i can't respect someone as stupid as you, i mean really just by the way you spell i can tell you're uneducated.."answear" "whit" "shittest" "econmic" "worht"..and thats just from this last page. and hey, i see you've learned to contract, you don't really know what that is because you copied and pasted from my earlier comments.. and thanks for wishing me a nice day, i hope you step in front of a bus! haha

  • i've said this way too many times but i'll say it again. kimi raikkonen is a HUGELY overrated driver. how did this guy get so many fans i just don't get it.

  • v8 sucks.v10 are much better and now in 2013 fia will put v6 1.6.fuck fia

  • @MrClaud789 no it will be v4 whit turbo loaded and it will have the same performance as a v10 back in 2005 and it saves 35% more fuel than normaly

  • @dobidaaaaa I'm with you but i need to do some corrections:not v4, i will be l4 (four cylinders in line) and 1.6 instead of 1.4. The cars will lost speed in straights but with narrower back tires, ground effect and 1.6 turbo! TURBO! Most of you dont know what a turbo is! The turbo cars from 1985/86 had more less 1500hp! (of course the boost will be controlled to about 750hp). And it saves about 35% more fuel than now... Is that wrong? I don't think so! Sorry for my bad english :S

  • @ordnas1234 you're an asshole if you think 4 cylinder engines is going to be a good thing for f1,and i don't give a fuck if it saves 35% more fuel and the cars now look fucking terrible, its official as of 2013 f1 will be shit.

  • @xCaLeBxx I won't reply to your insult ok?

  • @xCaLeBxx Do you know how expenisive the fuel in formula is? no you don't and i can almost garrante that you could not afford 100 litres of it so shut up.

  • @dobidaaaaa why would i need to afford fuel for formula 1? the fans arent the ones paying for the fuel, ferrari, mclaren, etc, are the ones paying for fuel. wtf is this youre on about with fuel economy?? sounds like youre the one who cant afford fuel, have fun filling up that prius you fucking prick.

  • @xCaLeBxx Haha you'r sp dumb. the F1 teams do have a budget you know? and the money has to come from somewhere? yeah from sponsors, points in races and so on. but if now McLaren fails to win a singel race this year and lewis and jenons takes 40 points so where will they take their money from then? vodafone doesn't sponser looser and they will make a contract whit antoher team. And then McLaren have to pay drivers, engineers and more so they have to change drivers and such and it could make bad

  • @dobidaaaaa now youre saying mclaren is not going to win a race this year?and you think this because after years of winning all of a sudden they have no money left to afford fuel..

  • @xCaLeBxx Í did say "if". do you wanna know what F1 costs? The factory where they build their cars and the people doesn't build em for free, driver salary, expensive material for the cars, expensive fuel, to transport the cars to the races, salaray to drive in formula, licensces. thats just some of them and all that togheter will make millions and millions. So no wonder that They need to cut of somewhere and engine is good way, sadly. you know mother earth doesn't have unlimited resources

  • @dobidaaaaa they've been doing that stuff for over 50 years and now all of a sudden there's no money left? you don't know shit about f1 or how money works ok so fuck you and your bullshit opinions.

  • @xCaLeBxx You are the one who doesn't know how money work and the worht of money. Do you think that your whining about "i hate f1 now cuz senna is dead and there is no other driver on the circruit or oh Lewis is almost as good as him, just almost." and " i hate when bernie moves formula to singapore and such MONEY RICH countreys who pays good for the races." "i don't like the new circruit becuz they have no history" well how could they when they just been around for some years.

  • @dobidaaaaa oh you got me there totally caught me whining about senna and singapore and money rich countries with no circuit history, JACKASS.

  • @xCaLeBxx yeah well thats the biggest whininng about formula nowdays. I am a big raikkonen fan but i can accept that he will not drive anymore unless ppl like you who can't face that the man is dead for 15 years ago. And how could the new circruits have history when they haven't been racing on for more than 3-4 years...

  • @dobidaaaaa you're so stupid its unbelievable, i didn't say anything about senna or new circuits, you're points are irrelevant to my original comments and you're uneducated and just fucking stupid in general.so have fun being an uneducated stupid jackass.

  • @xCaLeBxx you didn't but i think that you think about those things so. Well you are the one who doesn't know about money. Do you remeber back in late 2008 when we had an econmic crash? yeah F1 was very very close to quit. Just sayin i'm not sure if F1 survives to 2020 i would be suprised if. End of story

  • @xCaLeBxx You are so stupid so you can't even discuss, only words you can must be "fuck" "idiot" and "stupid"

You are only one of thousands of whiners who will complain and complain but hey? still your waching the sport who has the shittest engines and shitest rule. just three words for you left:GET OVER IT!

  • @dobidaaaaa did i get on your nerves? just three words for you: GET OVER IT!

and yes fuck you, you're stupid, and you're an idiot, and you left one out; you're a jackass.

  • @xCaLeBxx No you didn't do you wanna know why? i haven't called you idiot and thnks like that. i can respect people even on internet, but you you sadly can't. And the funny thing here is that you can only answear 1-2 questions i write you but you can't give me all the answears. I did just check our "chat" and i don't get all the answears i want from you so your hopless so i quit whit you, do not even bother to answear to this. Have a nice day.

  • @dobidaaaaa Yeah they have been doing it for 50 years but they have been doing it 10-15 years in such expensive prices in 50-to middel of 80 formula wasn't that money wasting and the sport was more fun. Now formula is only money, money, money and do you know what? FAME. But i like to follow it becuz there are cars, rubber and drivers who fights not for fame just for to be the very best.

  • @ordnas1234 V10 +Turbo = win.

Except i suspect they would become a little to fast...

  • @ordnas1234 yeah it is right but ppl will be whining about their v10 to the death -.-

  • @dobidaaaaa Always the same in all videos that have f1 cars with v10 engines :S

  • @ordnas1234 yeah but if formula wants to survive it has to do some changes whit the cars. I don't think they want to do changes but it is a must if the sport wanna survive. the fuel they use is very expensive i don't know how much in dollar but i'd tip on 40-50 dollar for 5 litres. And 2 cars in one weekned uses up to 700 litres.

  • On this lap Kimi pushed extremely hard...

Almost 360 kph at the end of the mainstraight. That's something the formula 1 of today, with their V8 engines and only 18 000 revs, can only dream of!

  • Goosebumps of that sound, but it's all gone now......... what a shame.

I gues that is where youtube is for... (sigh).

  • they should show that on drivng lesson

  • So why did they got rid of the V10 again...?

  • One driver to rule them all . . . Kimi Mathias Räikkönen. He is truly missed . .

  • We need 2005 F1 with 2009 tyres.. For the speed, the power and for the grip..

  • @Bakero083 While you're at it, get the turbo engine back, holy shit :D

  • @Bakero083

no,we need f1 2004 and the slicks.2005 was the first year of downsizing(less rpm than 2004)

  • @aga060 0:06 WOW

  • @aga060 The engine regulations did not change between 2004 and 2005, so I dont see why that would be the case. 2005 cars were just as fast anyway, despite having harder tires and having some of their downforce taken away pre-season.

  • @MetaKnightsKirby Not exactly the same engine regulations: the number of valves per cylinder was limited to 4 and, for example, in 2004, the renault and ferrari engines had 6 per cylinder...

  • @ordnas1234 I was unaware of this, thanks.

  • @MetaKnightsKirby You're welcome :)

  • @aga060 Not to mention the ridiculously hard tyres.

  • @aga060 Yes, less rpm & less downforce

  • @Bakero083 2004 were the fastest f1

  • @Bakero083 We need 2004 F1 with F Duct and blown double Diffusor...Damn!!

  • @Bakero083 or 2008 cars + 2005 engines + 2009 tyres - 2010/2011 bullshit

  • @Bakero083 2004 with '09 tyres would be better!

  • @Bakero083 no we need 2008 f1, 2005 engines and 2010 tyres;)

  • when this is 2005 there cant be a Q2 !!

  • @Naganiet200 Im pretty sure he meant Qualifying nr2. there were two sessions of qualifyings.. remember ? :D

  • @jasamappa 2005 two sessions ? Im only sure that in 2006 there were 3 sessions

    LOL

  • @Naganiet200 yes dude but I meant the sessions number etc.. I didnt mean there were ONLY 2, but 2+and calm down with your "lol"

  • @jasamappa Yes thanx !

  • the v10 were so much more incredibles!! i want them back!!!

  • Those were the times of powerful beast-machines. Now they've been tamed and powered down, but gained agility through the corners

  • 1:05 why does he reduce throttle?

  • Forget Turbo Engines!!! THE V10 SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE JIZZZING!!!! XD

  • i want the v 10 engine back in formula 1, those v 8 there are now is to small if you ask me ;)

  • @shortyandreas

There even thinking of using 1.6 4 Cilinder turbo engines :S

  • Monza 2010 gp was bad and boring

  • Speedtrap 2005: 360/370 km/h

    Speedtrap 2010: 346 km/h

PP Lap 2005 heavily loaded: 1:20:8

PP Lap 2010 very light: 1:21:9

Fuck the FIA and their stupid rules

  • @illpwnyou1 stupid safety rules*

  • @illpwnyou1 and they say its more entertaining now.. pff.. I would pay one monthly pay check to see an entertaining season like all the seasons before 2008

  • @illpwnyou1 also, in 2004 barrichello, made a 1.20:046 taking pole position

  • @illpwnyou1

It's barely a second dude, with 200 less horsepower, less downforce, and no traction control, among other conservative rules. I'd say that is pretty darn good.

  • @illpwnyou1 the monza track is diferent mate. it as some "protections" in the chicanes watch /watch?v=KsXDDtRsKSc . in 2009 they changed the chicanes.

  • @illpwnyou1 346km/h en 2010 con el conducto "F"

  • @illpwnyou1 its gonna get worse the engine is now are 4 cylinder 1.4 liter :(

  • @keytek9. I don't know. They say this engine will have the same performance then V10, but i'm worrying about the sound of the new one. I think it will be very painful for my ears.

  • @illpwnyou1 Like those Moto3 bikes....eew

  • @keytek9 Yeah but do you know what? they will be turbo charged 4 cylinder 1.4 whit the same speed as a v10

  • @illpwnyou1 But now races are much more interesting.... From 2000 to 2004/05, f1 was so boring! Schumi, Schumi, always Schumi! That was a crap! Always the same all the races. Now cars are less spectacular, less powerfull but now, we have victories from different pilots and teams... Plus, now we have more fighting in mid of platoon... This isn't good?

  • @ordnas1234 You definetly have a point there. But i'm sure that there is a combination what includes speed, a brilliant engine sound, good and fast looking cars and huge excitement in one.

Unfortunately that combination is not found already. And it will take years to found that out.

  • @ordnas1234 no! because they drive in a line, maybe 1 overtake evry few laps and nothing happens really...very interesting! i could watch a chaplet instead and have as much fun as watching f1 nowadays. it just lame became lame

  • @TheKnoppersVidz Are you an Alonso fan? If you are, PETROV rullez!

  • @ordnas1234 totally not.

    i hate him.

used to support ferrari till 2007/2008

and hell, i loved petrov for making a german win again, would have rather liked webber to win it tho

  • @TheKnoppersVidz OK, so... sorry... I hate him too :p

  • @illpwnyou1 speedtrap 2005: 378km/h

  • @illpwnyou1 They used different downforce setups. Recall Button 2010. He had a higher setup and so achieved 210 mph on the back straight and not 220 mph. Australia in 2010 the first and fastest ever lap time in less than 1 minute 24 seconds, so the only rules that I detest are the engines (sound) and the wings, as the current cars (compared to 2008) look aesthetically terrible.

  • @illpwnyou1 in 2005 the f1 have other 900 hp but in 2010 600 or other

  • @gubbytube9000 actually the mercedes v8 still is about 810 hp strong, the ferrari 805 and the renault 790

  • @gubbytube9000 nope its 770-800...infact in 2005 the Mclarens produced around about 950HP!!

  • @msckimialo how in the Hell did they not win a championship with that HP?

  • @bandman232 The cars weren't reliable at all. There were soo many races in 2005 where kimi was leading the race and then...Engine blown...but yes the McLarens were the fastest...i mean look at the lap records some of them are from 2005 and are yet to be broken!!and to know that in 2005 there was this crappy rule called no tyre change in both race and qualifying!sigh! Why did the FIA do this????

  • @msckimialo Well, there alot better now arent they? Forgive me for my ignorance but I havent watched F1 since 1998. Just now getting back into it and the Red Bull cars seem to blow away the competition. And why did they use grooved tires from 2000 to 2007?

  • @msckimialo They used grooved tires to reduce the mechanical grip of the cars--less surface area of the tire touching the surface, the slower the cars can go. Silly I know, but that's the way it was. Re BUll is owning because the formula changed DRAMATICALLY in 2009, and Adrian Newey, designer of Kimi's McLaren in this video, is with Red Bull, and he has used the new formula well. Also, Seb. Vettel is the fastest man right now. Put the fastest man in the fastest car and you have sheer domination

  • @illpwnyou1

but this year it will be much better with the drag reduction system and kers.

  • @TheLukas12364 i'm not happy with KERS and DRS. I haven't seen brave or nice moves in Malaysia. Only overtakes when driver X was drive 280 km/h and driver Y overtakes with 310 km/h,
