OK! Here's what a spoof is like. check this out. Search youtube for "speed racer now has his own video" (Yours could be totally different though.)

A spoof needs to be fairly innovative and a twist on the original. Not just replacing sound. Saturday Night Live is a good place to check out spoofs.

It's a common misconception that newer is better. The original song IS better. Sure the guitars sound cool, and seem different.. BUT, the new song just isn't really that good.
