Ya but in the Halo universe when inside the slipstream you have to use conventional engines like the ones mentioned by Barleseltd to move through it. Meaning that when you exit the slipstream the engines would still have to be on.
@BrewCrew4Life21 Laws of inertia. Yes, the ship would have to fire its engines in slipspace, but it doesn't need to leave them on the whole way. (See this video: watch?v=GihlZ0Mnq-k) That's assuming that maneuvering in slipspace is a good idea; I have a pretty good argument against, at least for human ships.
Inside the slipstream the laws of physics don't apply/and or are different
The slipstream is constantly changing meaning that so are the laws of physics inside of it. Meaning that inside the slipstream if a ship deactivates its engines it could or could not stop traveling.
@BrewCrew4Life21 The laws of physics do not constantly change in slipspace. If they did, travel through it would be impossible. Yes, different laws apply to the slipstream then our normal space-time, but they remain constant, if not fully understood. And all this, of course, depends on the games and the books, which seem to treat it different. The games make it seem more like teleportation. (Remember the skyscrapers that got pulled into Regret's jump away from earth? No engines there.)
But those skyscrapers were pulled into the slipstream. When a slipstream portal is created all air within the vicinity of the portal is sucked in. That massive rush of air is what pulled in the skyscrapers.
@BrewCrew4Life21 Yes. And those skyscrapers continued through the slipstream WITHOUT ENGINES, ON INERTIA and came out the other side. Like the ship in this video.
You are s dumbass and must not study Halo ships the Prophecy was a cc6 assult ship made on Earth it carried 500troops for land combat it was like the Pillar of Autum it's last day was in Harvest upper atmosphere were it was destroyed by it A.I. after it was attacked by 12 covenant ships
Someone doesn't realise that the 'Prophecy' is merely a piece of fan created content. However good it is, it is not part of Halo canon until Bungie says so. That means that even if they did study Halo ships, they wouldn't necessarily be aware of this as it isn't part of the canonical books, games, episodes etc,
@budyfoster The momentum of the ship continued after exiting an 11 dimensional realm traveling at speeds faster than light. Yes, it would be drifting after coming out of the slipspace portal.

@Barleseltd It's in space. It doesn't need to fire the engines, it can just drift on momentum.

Very nice, but actually the Prophecy is a destroyer, not a frigate.
WarNerd16 1 year ago
@WarNerd16 Prophecy as in the machinima, not the ship.

@WarNerd16
it doesn't matter anyways because the only difference between a frigate and a destroyer is the hull size on the underbelly hanger.
phenal1716 1 year ago
@phenal1716 no the destroyer has two MACs sandwiched together so that middle part of the frigate on the bow looks like its filled
