  • Lost in the the surreal limbo that is this song.

  • The beginning, when he looks at himself in the mirror, it sums up the whole game. Knowing what we know now, that's pure art.

  • mystic

  • Mary...can you really be in this town?

  • You wait your whole life for something, and then one day it's tomorrow.

  • Its cold out and foggy...I'm alone locked in a room, dreaming and waiting. That's what this song sounds like :) Definately one of my favorite tracks.

  • silent hill 1 has this in the church scene

  • What a calm and hypnotizing piece... close your eyes and dream.

  • yeah best music in a videogame ever

  • master piece!

  • This guy should make the soundtracks to all the big games. Love his music, especially when it sounds like this.

SH2 has gotta be one of the best games Ive ever played, it bridges so many genres, plays like a well written movie and sticks in your mind for ages. 4 was great, but nowhere near as moving as SH2.

  • @ncshuriken

for me sh the room left the biggest impression for me but i didn't like the fact that sh4 was a spinoff of the original sh story. SH3 was VERY entertaining and i had few sleepless nights over it (but who didn't? :D). nevertheless Silent Hill has the most unique and awesomest story of all time!!!

  • Same here mate, the monsters got weirder with each SH. SH3 was good, but theres less adventure than in SH2, and more enemies and running away, but it still felt like a part of the series, so Im still playing it, got a new gfx card and the high resolution detail is great on sh3.

  • @ncshuriken u skipped three! although it wasn't as good as two, three was much better then four

  • yea man, I agree its better than 4, especially in graphics, and the silent hill "feel". I did like the AI co-op on 4 though, but the music is just a nice in every SH.

  • Silet hill 4 didn't feel like silent hill to me. EVerything is different. Not as creepy and stuff. Different views. I dont know. I prefer the others. It could have branched off into it's own genre if you think about it. AND WHATS A NUTRITION DRINK!?

  • the sh4 story wasnt even ment for silent hill they just changed the story a bit to make it fit.

  • i heard something like that at the beggining in the bathroom

  • this is the song you hear at the beggining of the game right?

  • I really liked Silent Hill 4..... *shifty eyes*

  • i can only agree with you on the 4 and 5 part

  • Silent Hill 4: The Room. You shouldn't put stuff about WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW.

  • REALLY YOU MEAN THERE IS A 4 AND 5! NOOOOOO! GET OUT!

Surely I wasn't being sarcastic, because 4 and 5 were no where near as good? Dxmonta1 got it. You obviously didn't.

  • I actualyl liked 4 a lot! I thought it was an interesting take on the franchise, and (though not as much as Resident Evil 4) really sparked a new perspective in the gameplay, litereally cutting it in half! The hauntings at your apartment were genuinely scary, and the story was incredible! I agree about 5 though, it felt like it was trying too hard to be like the original Silent Hills, and just seemed to miss the point altogether.

This is all opinion based, obviously. :P

  • Plus, there is a five: "Silent Hill 5: Home Coming." And Origens didn't go "overbored". They were telling what happen. All of Alessa's life was about the cult. That's how she lived, and that's how she died.

  • Wait, you really didn't see the sarcasm? The fact I mentioned SH 4, which came out BEFORE Origins? And 5...which based PH on the movie rather than the SH:2 version?

    Come on. You're kidding me.

  • logically, shouldn't PH not even exist after 2?

  • Logically no he shouldn't but I havent played much of Silent Hill 5 so I dont know what his point in the 5th game is.

  • This music sets the BEST atmosphere for me. I really love all the sounds in this.

  • When I listen to this, I hear the beginning of a long, creepy, and obscure journey to come, with many sorrows and confusions, morbid and disorienting events, but eventually being able to accept the one thing that has been haunting our dear Mr. Sunderland.....Mary.

  • I love the sad, creepy, freak, morbid, disgusting, AWESOME feel of Silent Hill. Sad that Home Coming doesn't have it. =( The Original people should make it again.

  • Calming, i like it.

  • I love EVERYTHING about silent hill

  • it kinda has that sleepy dream feel in it. It's both eerie yet calming.

  • @MisaAmane18, it's funny you should say 'sleepy dream feel' because I always thought that the characters in the games look as if they hadn't slept in days

  • I'll never forget when I first heard this in the game, Christmas break 2006. It's so incredibly atmospheric and beautiful in a way that's hard to create. When I heard it I knew my hopes of becoming a huge "Silent Hill" fan would be very, VERY well met.

  • It's comforting and beautiful!

  • I find the song comforting..not creepy XD

  • Nice track (:

  • Nice! :-)
