Where can I find a copy of this concert film...I seriously can't live without it now, I have to own it. I come on here every day and play the various uploaded clips from this show...but I worry what will happen down the line if these are gone one day so I am putting this on my Xmas list.
Wow amazing. This transported me back to my junior year in high school. Love the Kinks and love the floosies singing backup. Ray Davies ruled back in these days.

This is an amazing song from one of their most underrated albums. Dave's playing is incredibly touching and enhances the mood of the song. Wow! I was fortunate enough to see the Kinks in 77 and it was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen.
@boscoruby ... lol@you, for, trying to make some relevant comment...Who are you, Chrissie Hyndes? why the anger? ( I bet he/she doesn't even know the connection)... enlighten me buddy, if you don't like the Kinks, then why all the comments? I'm probably just misinterpreting them... Ya, that's it... I'm sorry for coming on too strong...
You don't come on too strong, you come on too stupid. the Kinks are one of my favoriter bands - all I said is "Sleepwalker" sounds a lot like Steve Miller Band, which it does - not that there's anything wrong with that.
Tom Petty (and Nils Lofgren) opened for The Kinks in Paris June 1977. They played this song from the new album. One of the best shows I ever saw. GSTK!
Yeah, really. And it cost 30FF--about $7--pretty pricey for the times! (Paris was a great place to see bands--relatively intimate venues, often not sold out, like the Pavillon--maybe 2000, largely expats) Those were the days, eh Krankiekat?
Funny how madness and genius go hand in hand. I think he's bipolar from descriptions I've read--and his insomnia. I love the guy but he treated Dave like shit and was a control freak in the studio
Ray is the most underrated performer/songwriter of all time...I was in awe to see him live last December and he's still just as good...45 years later. How many rockers can you truly say that about?
Out of all the concerts I've seen and performers I've watched, no one, and I mean literally no one can relate to and work an audience like Ray Davies. I saw the Sleepwalker tour in 1977 and it is virtually the best concert I have ever seen and no one can work an audience like Ray!! God save the Kinks and preserve Ray Davies
Rose will you marry me? LOL THANK YOU SO MUCH! DO I KNOW YOU? and if you will be at any of the upcoming Ray shows in the US next week and in December I will see you there. As Dan the Fan I should be at all of them, hopefully? Gpd save the Kinks and all their fans who have stuck with them and supported them through the years, - Frank Lima, The Montvale, New Jersey Hillbilly Boy.
Just saw this today. Can't wait until 12/12 for Ray in NYC. Even more, the reunion that WILL happen. Wonder if I ever saw you. Don't know whether you've seen this, but I just saw it today! Happy Thanksgiving!

Flawless, as always. There ought to be a photo of the Kinks beside the word "perfection" in the dictionary.

Great Dave solo and one of my all-time favorite Kinks lyrics:
And one day when you are gone
You know that life will still go on
No one will care if you've good, bad, right, or wrong
Life will still go on
That is so great. Who else would sing that?
yaz08 2 years ago
I really like this song, it kinda makes you all warm inside. And I just can't help but falling in love with this Ray Davies.
He sure is one of the best songwritters ifn't even the best.

Brilliant. I had never heard this song before - it is really difficult to get hold of Slleepwalker CD in UK for some reason.
What a great song and how relevant today. RAY IS A GEN IUS!
