  • I just bought a RAY DAVIES book. "Not Like Anybody Else".

    Very interesting...

  • una de mis preferidas de the kinks!

  • Did women in the 70s not wear bras?

  • @robair9911 ╰☆╮not in my car - (☀)(☀)

  • To my Brothers ☆ John and ☆ AL

  • just awesome

  • AMAZING VIDEOS!

Thank You x 1000 for sharing.

    INCREDIBLE STUFF

    God Save the Kinks

  • I prefer the line "hadn't settled my bill" to the "paid it"

Isn't this show from England? HMMMMMM

Saw them in '77 with Cheap Trick and ALMOST booed Trick, but I'm

    a sensitive guy.

  • @jenzeppelin Good for you. I always liked George Harrison's "Cracker Box Palace"

Sometimes are good . . . sometimes are bad

That's all a part of life. I just get on waiting for the good to begin again.

  • lovely song

  • Brb, going back to the 70's to bed Ray Davies.

  • @SalivaLaced Give him a long, passionate kiss for all of us! ;)

  • @SalivaLaced Can I come with? I'd like to be classy and say I wouldn't steal Ray from ya...but no promises. lol.

  • Where can I find a copy of this concert film...I seriously can't live without it now, I have to own it. I come on here every day and play the various uploaded clips from this show...but I worry what will happen down the line if these are gone one day so I am putting this on my Xmas list.

  • Wow amazing. This transported me back to my junior year in high school. Love the Kinks and love the floosies singing backup. Ray Davies ruled back in these days.

  • DAVE RULES !!

  • Hell's teeth! What class!

  • Flawless, as always. There ought to be a photo of the Kinks beside the word "perfection" in the dictionary.

  • Dave and Ray are both literally incredible

  • Ray and Dave can do no wrong! :)

  • Dave's licks are brillinat. Wow! The Gibson always gives him a "fuller" sound.

  • Isn't Ray wonderful...as a songwriter he can address such serious subjects in a sensitive yet humorous manner. Plus he's simply gorgeous

  • they do this song relley good live

  • This is an amazing song from one of their most underrated albums. Dave's playing is incredibly touching and enhances the mood of the song. Wow! I was fortunate enough to see the Kinks in 77 and it was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen.

  • ONE OF THE BEST BANDS EVER!

  • how cool dave's guitar solo is!!!

  • lol@English people trying to clap

  • @boscoruby ... lol@you, for, trying to make some relevant comment...Who are you, Chrissie Hyndes? why the anger? ( I bet he/she doesn't even know the connection)... enlighten me buddy, if you don't like the Kinks, then why all the comments? I'm probably just misinterpreting them... Ya, that's it... I'm sorry for coming on too strong...

  • You don't come on too strong, you come on too stupid. the Kinks are one of my favoriter bands - all I said is "Sleepwalker" sounds a lot like Steve Miller Band, which it does - not that there's anything wrong with that.

  • @upthcreek Are you guys Ray and Dave incognito? Life is too short......Peter Qualife, original Ravens/KiNKS bassisst dead at the age of 66.

  • AHHHHH but they were probably all off it.

  • @boscoruby i thought ray was quite good :)

get it cuz hes english - and great - and english - and talented - and english

  • Life would be mighty fine wedged between the backup singers.

  • Powerfull

  • Dave's playing is perfect here. Fluid, economic, toneful... damn.

  • HOW GOOD IS THE RAY N DAVE SHOW!!

  • Dave Davies has always been such an under rated guitar player. Just great lines!

  • i've never seen this footage before...simply wonderful, thanks for posting.

  • If you have ever seen the Kinks live you would know that Ray was the kinks. I have been a fan since the 60's.

  • all yours don't imagine how i want to see a duet between gerard way from my chemical romance and the kinks

  • Excellent stuff here

  • Tom Petty could do a really good cover of this it sounds like a song he'd play.

  • Tom Petty (and Nils Lofgren) opened for The Kinks in Paris June 1977. They played this song from the new album. One of the best shows I ever saw. GSTK!

  • really?

  • Yeah, really. And it cost 30FF--about $7--pretty pricey for the times! (Paris was a great place to see bands--relatively intimate venues, often not sold out, like the Pavillon--maybe 2000, largely expats) Those were the days, eh Krankiekat?

  • Funny how madness and genius go hand in hand. I think he's bipolar from descriptions I've read--and his insomnia. I love the guy but he treated Dave like shit and was a control freak in the studio

  • Love this performance more than the album version......"If you don't know it, learn it" indeed........surely the best rock and roll band ever.

  • Ray is the most underrated performer/songwriter of all time...I was in awe to see him live last December and he's still just as good...45 years later. How many rockers can you truly say that about?

  • Great Dave solo and one of my all-time favorite Kinks lyrics:

And one day when you are gone

You know that life will still go on

No one will care if you've good, bad, right, or wrong

    Life will still go on

That is so great. Who else would sing that?

  • I really like this song, it kinda makes you all warm inside. And I just can't help but falling in love with this Ray Davies.

He sure is one of the best songwritters ifn't even the best.

  • Brilliant. I had never heard this song before - it is really difficult to get hold of Slleepwalker CD in UK for some reason.

What a great song and how relevant today. RAY IS A GEN IUS!

  • Out of all the concerts I've seen and performers I've watched, no one, and I mean literally no one can relate to and work an audience like Ray Davies. I saw the Sleepwalker tour in 1977 and it is virtually the best concert I have ever seen and no one can work an audience like Ray!! God save the Kinks and preserve Ray Davies

  • I watched them live! amazing

  • They iz right life went on and still kickin onward !

  • nice! sleepwalker (album) live. thx for posting : )

god save the kinks. : P

  • love the solo : D

  • Rose will you marry me? LOL THANK YOU SO MUCH! DO I KNOW YOU? and if you will be at any of the upcoming Ray shows in the US next week and in December I will see you there. As Dan the Fan I should be at all of them, hopefully? Gpd save the Kinks and all their fans who have stuck with them and supported them through the years, - Frank Lima, The Montvale, New Jersey Hillbilly Boy.

  • Wonderful! Could we please get Full Moon? Between you and kkfromnj full moon is the only song from this set that hasn't been posted.

  • thanks! Full Moon will go up tomorrow :-)

  • Just saw this today. Can't wait until 12/12 for Ray in NYC. Even more, the reunion that WILL happen. Wonder if I ever saw you. Don't know whether you've seen this, but I just saw it today! Happy Thanksgiving!
