All i saw in this video was a guy pointing a video camera at 2 rottis, which in turn barked to defend their property. They didnt once chase or leave the bounderies of their yard. I didnt see any dogs being viscious or biting anyone!
It's very sad that the dog got shot... Rotties have beautiful temperament IF treated right and trained well, I've breeded rotties and they are very cleaver dogs but need a lot ov time spent with them, these are working dog and ppl tend to forget that and the dog gets bored or left alone an it sends em a bit nutty. When i was 2, i got attacked in the lip and nose by a rottie. they didnt kill it. we begged.... years later, my baby cousin visited the owner, and got attacked. they were forced to put it to sleep. Thanks to tht Rotty bitch, i have scars all over my face. lol.

To the poster of this video. If you honestly want to do something, as your town will not as the owner is legally doing everything they should, treat those dogs everytime you go outside. I just feel terrible for those poor dogs. As a responsible owner of feared breeds (Rottweiler/Doberman and American Pit Bull Terrier) I understand peoples concerns for themselves and their family though in many cases that fear is unfounded. With that being said, this is not a case of out of control, seriously aggressive animals, it's clearly a case of terrible animal ownership and if anyone deserved to be shot, it's clearly your neighbor, NOT the dogs.

You are very wise, thank you. The situation in short: I began to conceal-carry when my neighbor showed no concern for the safety of my family. The dogs tied to the truck was a daily event. On that day when i got home, i saw one dog tied to the truck. As i walked towards my front door, the other dog darted out of its' garage towards me. I hit him about 8' away from me while standing at my front door. I could have killed it if desired, it fell and laid there for about 20 sec.

While annoying, not really terrifying. I have just had a large dog on my property, attacking my horses, and trying to kill me and my cats and dogs. It ended up ripping my arm when i caught it 48 hours after it first started charging me. Rangers and cops would not touch it, so i had to be injured getting rid of it. He is within his rights by keeping them on his property, but they have broken free many times; luckily nobody was hurt. i have a 105 lb Akita who is a very good and very sweet dog. One day i let him out into the yard for probably about 10-15 mins. I then heard a loud yelp and high pitch barks and whines that i have never heard come from him before. I went outside to see what was rong and i seen what was the problem. Someone shot him right on the side of the neck. It wasnt terrible but is was bleeding and whas obviosly painfull. I took him to the vet and they took a small round bullet out. He had to get 10 stiches
Im sorry to here about what happened to your dog, especially if it was in your yard and not threatening anyone. The person that did that should be arrested. On the other hand, your dog was loose and unattended for 10-15 mins, if your dog was off your property threatening your neighbors, then your neighbors have every right to defend themselves. Responsible dog owners/dog lovers dont allow their dogs to run free without a leash or control.
All i saw in this video was a guy pointing a video camera at 2 rottis, which in turn barked to defend their property. They didnt once chase or leave the bounderies of their yard. I didnt see any dogs being viscious or biting anyone!

To the poster of this video. If you honestly want to do something, as your town will not as the owner is legally doing everything they should, treat those dogs everytime you go outside. Throw them hunks of hot dogs NUMEROUS times a day instead of sitting in your car and video taping them. They do not appear to trully aggressive dogs (barking does not equal aggression). I just feel terrible for those poor dogs. As a responsible owner of feared breeds (Rottweiler/Doberman and American Pit Bull Terrier) I understand peoples concerns for themselves and their family though in many cases that fear is unfounded. With that being said, this is not a case of out of control, seriously aggressive animals, it's clearly a case of terrible animal ownership and if anyone deserved to be shot, it's clearly your neighbor, NOT the dogs.

The dogs are not at fault, i agree. We tried talking to my neighbor for 3 years, called the police and animal control many times. That dog got shot because it tried to attack me in MY front yard. You are very wise, thank you. The situation in short: I began to conceal-carry when my neighbor showed no concern for the safety of my family. The dogs tied to the truck was a daily event. On that day when i got home, i saw one dog tied to the truck. As i walked towards my front door, the other dog darted out of its' garage towards me. I hit him about 8' away from me while standing at my front door. I could have killed it if desired, it fell and laid there for about 20 sec.

What song were you singing when you did the video on the dogs in their owners driveway. It seems to me that you just sat there and provoked those dogs. Like humans, those dogs knew and know that you don't like them. As I was watching the video I noticed that when their son rode up on the bike that you put your window up on your car. I would never want to see any child or adult get attacked by a dog but again in this case no-one has been attacked. You are the attacker! (shooter)!

You have seen ONLY 3 mins of what has taken 3yrs to conclude, as you judge me. This video was used in court to show the judge what my family and I have to contend with daily. My neighbor blamed me and my camera for his dogs actions; the judge thought that was outrageous. You over looked the 3-4 citations given to them by animal control. Would you wait until your child is mauled before you act? I hope you do a better job with yours by getting a fence.

Having a weapon for the means of protecting your family and bragging about shooting a dog is another subject. Being a gun owner myself I too understand the need for protection but you wont see me walking around with my weapon waiting for something to jump off. What's even more of a concern for me is the fact that you need to let everyone know that you have a WEAPON. I have a great concern for you and this GLOCK, especially since it doesn't have a safety. (ha) Watch out!

Again, this was 3 YEARS in the making. I and other neighbors spoke with the "idiot" about his dog roaming the HOOD. He's been cited 3-4 times by animal control. YES, i bought my "GLOCK" for purpose of protecting my family. My daughters aren't affraid of my gun; my wife wants one now.

While annoying, not really terrifying. I have just had a large dog on my property, attacking my horses, and trying to kill me and my cats and dogs. It ended up ripping my arm when i caught it 48 hours after it first started charging me. Rangers and cops would not touch it, so i had to be injured getting rid of it. I live in Australia, if i had a gun i would have blown its head off!

Good for you to stand up for ur rights. Some people fail to realize that animals are not the equal to humans and no matter cannot be trusted. I had a neighbour who's dog keep coming on my property and terrorizing my kids-county said i had the right to shoot the dog if it was on my property for the protection of my family-glad I didn't because not long after that dog bit its owner in the hand he had to kill the dog with a hammer to stop the attack. Thanks poyzer. I have warned my neighbor many times about his dogs being tied to that truck and about them getting loose. Im not the only person who is threatened by his careless ways. He is within his rights by keeping them on his property, but they have broken free many times; luckily nobody was hurt. Its sad that I have to stand guard when my kids are outside playing in the yard or I have to escort my wife in and out of the car.

It took 3yrs to get to this point; Animal Control has sited them at least 3 times for not controlling them. First of all, STUPID, running from a charging dog will only escalate the situation and excite the dog even more; the last time I checked, I couldnt outrun a dog.I have a license to carry a concealed weapon; I got it because my neighbor showed NO concern for the safety of my little girls. First I talked to THE OWNER; he didnt give-a-shit about how I felt about his, they wont bite, dogs. I have OWNED dogs and I respected my neighbors feelings. My job requires visits to customers homes and I can fairly guess which dogs are territorial by their actions. After calling the police and Animal Control to find out that theres nothing they can do until the dogs bite somebody, I purchased a gun. So, your stance as a dog-lover is bias; I hope my neighbors move next to you

I shot the dog; an investigation found the situation justified. I cant say the dogs have or havent bitten anybody, but neither me nor any of my family members will be their first victim. The size of the dog does matter. I wouldnt shoot a Shitzu, Ive never heard of one killing people and other dogs. I didnt suggest poisoning the dogs and never would do anything like that. The dog did attack me in my yard and I did shoot the dog once. I could have killed it, if so desired.

i have a 105 lb Akita who is a very good and very sweet dog. One day i let him out into the yard for probably about 10-15 mins. I then heard a loud yelp and high pitch barks and whines that i have never heard come from him before. I went outside to see what was rong and i seen what was the problem. Someone shot him right on the side of the neck. It wasnt terrible but is was bleeding and whas obviosly painfull. I took him to the vet and they took a small round bullet out. He had to get 10 stiches

Im sorry to here about what happened to your dog, especially if it was in your yard and not threatening anyone. The person that did that should be arrested. On the other hand, your dog was loose and unattended for 10-15 mins, if your dog was off your property threatening your neighbors, then your neighbors have every right to defend themselves. Responsible dog owners/dog lovers dont allow their dogs to run free without a leash or control.
