This is a lovely way to introduce very young kids to classical music - We love the flower duet!
Maestro Classics CD's produces Stories in music for kids ages 4-12 for parents who are interested in continuing musical education for their youngsters!
Does anyone know where I can go find it (store w/out having to order it from internet) maybe barnes & nobles....a target? I don't know, where can I get the DVD????
All of these episodes are great...one of the few shows made for the younger generation that is enjoyed by children and adults alike. Where else would you find the elegant pairing of Elgar and Chagall?
Hi FunnySeashell, thanks for posting this precious video. I very much appreciate your suggestion that a mother should buy the DVD. Can you PLEASE tell me where to buy it? I am unable to find it anywhere and I love these videos!! Any assistance you can provide me is greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance.
00:35 is the Flower Duet" ("Viens, Mallika") from an opera called LAKMÉ. Look for the version with Natalie Dessay, she sings it with Delphine Haidan. It's the best!
if you ever get a chance to see classical baby poetry, do so. there is a child on there that is so thoughtful, so brilliant. and of course the poetry is painfully lovely.
I definitley recommend getting this, my baby niece goes crazy for it. She just won't look away until the show is over which is great because she's also listening to some REAL music, Bach, Tchaicovsky, Mozart, ect...
cute animations and beautiful classical music. seems kind of mind-numbing though. my favorite baby DVD (i think age 1-4) is Trebellina, which truly teaches music.
I think my niece is enjoying this

"Bear Hugs is The Flower Duet by Leo Delibes.
"Babys hands" as i commented before is Robert Schumann's Kinderszenen.
"Baby Steps" i believe is a small sample from Tchaikovsky's the Nutcracker but it could be Waltz of the Flowers.
"Busy Caterpillar" is Bach's Cello Suite No. 1.
"the Cow Song" is O mio babbino caro by Giacomo Puccini. "Good morning" is Edvard Grieg's Morning Mood.
"Night Music" Eine kleine Nachtmusik by Mozart.
"aquarium" is by Camille Saint-Saëns

This is way beyond cute. My daughter grew up listening to classical music. Now, as a teenager, music is like her first language.
Check out her performance with a few of her friends at "Mozart Quartet No. 2 in D Major"
