Some of the earliest surviving vernacular Spanish poetry are Mozarab/Sephardic love ballads like this, in a "Castilian" heavily peppered with Arabic vocabulary.
She has a voice that is one of the few that has literally given me goosebumps when I hear her sing. The first time I ever heard October Project was in a record store and I got chills all over. What a shame that October Project is no more because they are one of my favorite groups of all time. I would love to see her live.
Saw her at my friend's house concert recently. She's very talented. This is definitely a favorite.
