  • Saw her at my friend's house concert recently. She's very talented. This is definitely a favorite.

  • You can only hear a brief few music bytes of Raging Child on the amazon dot com link. I think that is her best song besides this one, and that she should upload it, in full, up here, so people can appreciate the full breadth of her range and cross-cultural influences. I am a Sandy Denny Fan from way back, love the Bothy Band, and can hear her English/Irish/Celtic influences in Ranging Child. Don't forget the little folks and folk musicians from whence your music came, Mary.

  • This is my FAVORITE of Mary's, another is Raging Child, which I hope she uploads to YouTube, too..

  • Some of the earliest surviving vernacular Spanish poetry are Mozarab/Sephardic love ballads like this, in a "Castilian" heavily peppered with Arabic vocabulary.

  • wonderful......................

  • Habibi~~~~~darling, sweet heart????

    love her voice....

  • It's not that hard to find - go to Mary Fahl's website and check her concert schedule, she sells the CDs at her performances.

  • To All who read this on U-Tube, I'm not a devotee of Dr. Evil, but of Dr. LOVE

"Love takes us to our destination" joan staats

  • Hi Mary Fahl,

We knew each other by way of a song writer who wrote "Redemption" on your

CD "The Other Side of Time". We only met once face to face just near Paris

Theater New York City. I hope you are well. And hope your future is bright!

Warm Regards from Joan Staats of New Orleans, La.

  • habibi means darling, sweet heart no?

  • @margaretjackson6671 - I thought that it meant husband.

  • "Come to my house, my beloved,

    If you leave, this betrayal

    Will bring misery.

    Come to our passionate rendezvous.

    Mercy, my beloved!

You'll make me desolate if you go!

Good man, kiss my little mouth

And don't leave me just yet."

  • @mrholdemaz Thank you for the translation.

  • does anyone have a translation?

  • What does the title mean?

  • @MargeSimpson20

"Ben Aindi Habibi" was a traditional kharja written in the 11th or 12th century.

  • Has anyone posted "Redemption"?

  • This was playing in the background when Richard Couer De Leon met Saladin !!!!

  • Hahaha, and what a happy man he must have been!

  • I´m really in love with her voice, how i miss october proyect,i wish she had new records and tours like sarah brightman does.

  • Thank you!

  • She has a voice that is one of the few that has literally given me goosebumps when I hear her sing. The first time I ever heard October Project was in a record store and I got chills all over. What a shame that October Project is no more because they are one of my favorite groups of all time. I would love to see her live.

  • I wrote the October Project back in 1992 telling how great they were and they were kind enough to write me back and send me an autographed photo

  • She is so beautiful.

  • Anyone know what happened to her? I love her version of Una Furtiva Lagrima as well.

  • simply brilliantly

  • Pure magic. Thank you. This is my favorite version of this song, and she is my favorite singer.

  • The best, nothing else to be said.

  • OMG this is amaaaazing... i first known Mary Fahl from Going Home and fall in love with her amazing voice.

  • Mary Fahl has one of the most "moving" voices. Thank you for sharing this incredible song.
