I have a off white fireplace mantle floor to 6' high and sides
it's on a green flecked accent wall in a tan room - what would be best technique for me to use - I am thinking old style but what about sponge or rag - any ideas? I could send a picture if that would help
@nmspoke Hey there. I got your email and answered you there. If you can send pics, it would help. Not sure if you are talking about the wall or the fireplace. : )
@HoustonsOriginal At the end of the clip, you are given the Web address. Or you can click on the description of the video where it has a link to the website where you can buy the tools. The system is patented and not sold in stores, yet. God bless.
@itsjustnopinionok Sure. If you want to see what other newbies have done, visit our website and go to testimonies and pics on the menu to the left. You can also view other pictures on our facebook page. Do a search on facebook for "faux painting". We should come up on the first spot, if not look for "faux painting, faux supplies and articles". Always practice on poster boards first. That way you can see what you walls will look like. God bless!
@MISSKitty131996 Yes, Poofy? I really didn't have time to come up with a better name. For the most part, people don't mind the name. Sorry if it seems silly or weird to you. Who knows, maybe one day, when God brings this patented system HE gave me to a larger audience, I will have named the Poofy Pad something else. Any suggestions? I hope the name of the tool doesn't keep you from seeing the value of it. : )
@eYeSoFdAnGeR Hey there. Just curious. Have you ordered any of the kits from my website? I can't seem to find your email address in our records. As for the burnt umber, yes, you can use any brown. The burnt umber is in the purple family. Some people don't even use the brown for the Old World. They just use the golden brown color.
@eYeSoFdAnGeR This was paint I bought at Walmart and it was called antique white. Since then I have told customers to use any off white color. It doesn't matter. Sherwin Williams has 2 that are nice, Ibis White or for a warmer tone, Summer White. Just make sure you use a satin sheen.
absolutely beautiful. I've been looking all over youtube for a video like this! Sponge painting looks horrific but this is amazing. It's bold, yet soft & blended, & it looks million times easier than sponge painting. This is the EXACT look i want :) but i went to this website & all i can buy is a 15 peice set for $90.00 & i dont need all of that at all, nor do i have that much money to burn. Is there any possible way i can just buy the palate pad & the poofy pad? thanks :]
@crazeepazlee Hey there. Thanks for the comment. On the website store we have the basic kit for $39.99. There's the Faux Marble and Basic Combo kit, too, for $48.50. You can buy just the palette and poofy pad but I would not recommend cause you will not know how to properly do corners or edges and how to care for the tools. Plus you get a free E-book with kits.
Dear Sweeper5, this is much easier than venetian. But it doesn't look like it at all. Venetian has more transparent look with lots of trowel marks. This looks like parchment paper. The pads are easy to clean with a spray attachment on your hose set to hardest setting. I have used pads up to 6 times depending on how fast I clean them after using. The system is easy like playing a piano, but you only can play a tune by practice, if you know what I mean. See pics on my site sent by customers.
I'm digging this...has quite a venetian plaster-ish look, at least in the video it looks like it. I've just finished doing venetian plaster in our bathroom, and that was one heckuva lot of work! I'm thinking about giving this a try...is it really as easy as it looks. I love this parchment finish very much. Seriously thinking about buying your whole kit. Just wondering, how hard is it to clean those pads, and how many times can one reasonably expect that they can be re-used? Thanks!
For humans, but we live in a finite created atmosphere. God is in another dimension altogether without any limitations, outside of human understanding. When the man in the bible had 2000 demons in him, were they not ALL in one body, yet there were a legion of different persons in him? Not human persons, but celestial persons. Read Ezekiel to see what a cherub looks like. Thousands of eyes all over their bodies. Isn't that physically impossible? : )
@blueroad99 Hey there, what is your "huh?" referring to specifically. I pray that I can clear up your question. If not, then may the Lord by His Spirit guide you to search out the matter yourself. Jesus said, "Whoever seeks, will find." He wasn't lying. It's so cool and awesome to have God answer you directly! There is nothing like it. Let me know if I can help or if the Holy Spirit answers your personally. God bless! : )
@judyleeverro1 physical impossibility FOR US HUMANS but not for GOD because He is GOD and there is nothing impossible with Him. His capacity is nothing like ours and there is no limit to what He can do or what He is. =) That's what you call trinity. three persons in one.
Sure. Go to my other videos and watch "Faux Finish Painting on Knockdown Texture" and "How to add knockdown texture by hand and faux paint it, too" Then you can see how it is done. Then go to my site to order the kit. : )
never start at the centre of the wall ! for best effect you will have to start in the upper- corner (left if you are righthanded) and work you're way down in small triangles. by doing this you will avoid "edges" if some places are "overdone" you can try to increase these spots by using a slightly wet (clean) sponge (i did lots of walls, easy to learn)
This is a part of DVD faux workshop which is showing how to faux on a practice board. The board is not large, therefore, for teaching purposes, I have started where I did. Guess that is not mentioned here but on my website you see that this is part of a workshop. As you blend out the areas, you minimize the edges. All this is covered in article on my site: "Mistakes to avoid, Lap lines or seams."
I will try. God has given me some ideas for painting textured finishes without the expensive costs and for faux granite and wood which by His will, I will work on getting out another video. Have you visited the website yet?
Thankyou for uploading this. I'm gonna paint my lounge like that..it's looking pretty medieval at the moment but the walls are just magnolia as I haven't decorated as such yet. I'm glad to see how it's done.
Thank you. Don't forget to visit the website and order your kit. We are going to start selling other tools that will save you money and time, too. God bless!

It looks pretty good from the video. Is it safe for "painting for dumbies" to use like me and still get good results?
