The Vern is actually really nice, its like a getaway from class so you feel like you can separate classes from living...but you do have to take a shuttle, its really not that bad, only about a 15 or 20 minute ride, it becomes routine...
The dorms on the vern are usually small enough so that you get to know mostly everyone in the building...unless you choose somers, which has about 400 kids...the others have probably a max of 45...
it rly isnt a problem to take the shuttle, in a way it feels like ur going "home" cuz ur away from the buildings where ur classs are.
I am from NYC and i live up here, i have no problems with it...you'll mostly hear people say that they're from the city so they can never live on the vern...thats just bull
u take the shuttle however many times u want...if u want to go to ur room mid day you can ride the shuttle back up
The experience with a small campus is gr8, i wont want to give it up
The two of us were actually splitting a room because it was $1000/month to live there during our internships that summer. Absolutely ridiculous for the crap we got.
LOL it's sad that for over 50 grand a year you have to take an umberella to the bathroom LOL. I lived in Mitchell for two years. Do the pipes still shake and produce a nasty smell?
danm r u guys serious? im about to move in as a new transfer student to mitchell hall. Have they fixed it up? they better have. that palce is fucking expensive
Eh, I'm applying to GWU soon, so I guess it's good to know how each good or bad each dorm is compared to each other. >>; But uh, at least they all have private baths, right? (Except for the ones with the Single rooms)
This video deserves five stars for exposing the truth about Mitchell Hall to the American people. Also, I actually live on the 2nd floor. I just decided to come up and take a look at your bathroom when water started pouring through the fucking ceiling in ours.

Is it worth the shuttle? And how often do you have to go back and forth from the campus to Vernon?
What do you think are the best benefits of living there?
(I'll be in the class of 2013 thanks lol)
