i think the hit looked worse than it really was because of blakes size compared to tj. so naturally, the taller guy hitting someone smaller makes it look worse. plus it didnt help that his helmet flew off. replay shows its a clean hit though

1. It's not charging. Charging involves jumping, or skating with multiple strides into an opponent. Blake wasn't even moving forward and he didn't jump, he leaned forward.

2. It's not interference. Galiardi left the puck behind at the blue line and was hit literally half a second later. You're actually allowed a couple of seconds in the NHL.

3. It might have been a roughing call... but it's the playoffs, stop being a pussy. He had his head down. he got owned.

Blake's got both hands on his stick and brings it up into the hit. Pure and simple it's a cross check. Maybe he got the shoulder first, maybe, but he still brings the stick into the head of Gali...if the League would follow it's own rules Blake gets suspended.

@rabushco you are allowed to shove somebody, which is exactly what blake did. his hands were together, not at opposite ends of the stick, which is what a cross check is. Nothing is going to happen because this is a good hit.

Shoulder and chest hit, follow through with arms, on the guy's front right shoulder, after he skates through the neutral zone into the defender with his head down... if this is a penalty, I guess hockey should be played no contact.

@NHLArchive watching the replay a few more times, you are right. It was a good hit and I apologize for my "outburst." As an Avs fan, it's a little hard for me to be objective in such an emotional series, but you are right.

However, Blake's knee-on-knee on Duchene and the hit on Mueller at the end of the regular season were both suspension worthy. But that's another story.

Avs needs to respond in game 3.
