@InTheSticks0001 Looks like they did their Beta Testing, you didn't break noth'n this time! The specs on the Country Living Mill specify less than than 90 RPM to avoid overheating their robust roller bearings. After considering using a slow but torquey hole hog, I lucked out and found a used purpose built motor that turns 60 rpm.
Look at the end of the shaft after multiple uses. I guarantee there will be excessive wear. The end of the shaft will be worn out soon. The attachment is way too loose and wants to work it's way off. That is why you have to put so much pressure to keep it on. Let us know how long it takes to ruin the shaft with normal use. Try to mill the grain on a finer setting. You will see the wear take it's toll sooner... Just a normal guys opinion... “All in all; bad idea Wander Mill, You’ll be sorry!"
@mainbearing68 Yes with improper use it could do what you say... But you are just making negative assumptions with no facts to back it up. please see my arm chair elitist video for the rest of my opinion of your opinion
@dsarti1 My apologies. I am a "cut to the chase" kind of man. I have been called a lot of things, but never "elite". LOL. You are way more financially capable than I am. I would never consider myself an elite. I, HOWEVER, am a big fan of yours and did not intend to be over critical. As for facts to back up what I said, I did not state anything as, "if so, fact'o", only my opinion, which is only backed up by my almost 30 years using, repairing and otherwise operating various types of equipment.
@LeathermanFan2 Most likely. With the hard torque of the tool not designed for food processing, the brushes in the motor will be under stresses and wear down. The particles have to go somewhere. A lot of drills even come with extra contact brushes for the motor when bought new. That tells you something.
@mainbearing68 Cool, thanks, you learn something news everyday. He is better off using a power drill because it is a smaller motor inside the drill, and he can recharge the batteries in a solar power recharger too.
I really like your style of videos. They have a better way for the more common person to have an outlook on prepping. Keep it up, I'm sure you inspire alot more people than you think. Thanks and God bless.
LOL! That's awesome they actually made an attachment for you boys that had to run our and give that a shot. I'm LMAO right now. Good Job. We all shall benefit.
Good idea Dave. The original 'test' model sent to you wasn't as versatile & 'tough' as this one. The company responded to the 'customer' - it's good to see that today.
I did some research for ya Dave. The unit is called the "DRILL BIT ADAPTER" and it is available for $29.99 plus shipping. (Should fly out the doors!) BTW, they recommend (for Hard Grains) a 1/2 Inch Dewalt Drill with Variable Speed so you were right on with that drill you used.. I was also surprised to see the Flywheel Pulley is $59.99 online. Man this could easily become a $400 Grinder I see that. Just Google Wonder Mill Drill Bit Adapter for details.
Looks good, and the cost of mill and drill, surely less then a motorized version,
With a shtf power back up, just need to build a unit to hold both a drill or drill motor in place with the mill, to be really convenient. High ^5 man.
Uprated. This is great. If I understand correctly, you can hand-crank, hook up a bike, but if there is electricity, a power tool can be used? Super neat! Really fun channel, love your personality. Plenty of educational stuff, and as a disabled person with a country bugout place (not developed, but former subsistence farm with dense forest we own), I'm always interested in how you deal with the challenge of rural existence. Greetings from Europe via the USA.
Wicked, i love it.

I remember the old video where the bolt was destroyed . I remember saying at the time that they should make an attachment for it to fit a drill. LOL

Why didnt you just set the pully to be powered by the drill?

Does the power drill give off any tiny particles that go into the air and in the milled wheat?

if you have electricity for the drill why use a hand grinder instead of a electric grinder from the get go ??

If you read your owners manual, using the drill attachment voids your warranty. Prob wouldn't stop me from using it though!
