For some reason, this has always been my favorite song, even though being in any way sentimental is not the normal thing for me. Also taking into consideration that this song came out the same year i did, (O.K., let me clarify that. I was born in '65). The melody of this song was adapted from "Minuet In G," a composition written by Christian Petzold. it was great by the toys. this version is in some ways better, but i will always remember the toy's version.

Dear whyb3t - apparently i was wrong about the composer, i would be interested which bach wrote this piece and the name of the original. have always liked this song and would love to hear the original arrangement. please let me know if you have that info. Goldberg Variations and Brandenberg concertos have long been favorites of mine.

This cannot be Kelly Chen singing, it is obviously Nana Mouskouri. If you watch Kelly's video she can't even lip sinc the words properly. It looks like she ripped the song off or maybe she got permission or whatever...but that IS Nana Mouskouri singing and not Kelly.

WIth respect, it;'s quite impossible that Kelly would be able to exactly duplicate every note, break, and breath that the original Mouskouri version has so exactly as in this clip, nor would any "remake" artist want to do that as they tend to like to put their own spin on things toi make it theirs. I'm going to run it through Adobe Premier in the next few days to see the exact wavelength breakdown to see if it is ANY different from the Mouskouri one, but so far it sounds suspiciously the same.
