  • Cool. My pastor Dennis West is from Racine!

  • dude my mom is on this video

  • Awesome video. It looks like you all had a great time. I haven't been to a Ladies Retreat in years. Maybe this year....?

I saw people I know, too. Renee, Magda! Sis. Boyd on kb?

As far as the negative comments, they try to get our focus off Jesus and take our time away from Him. Just focus on the Lord and don't let those people bother you.

Thank you, Jesus, for this awesome sister. Bless her again this very day. In Jesus' Name!

  • BEAUTIFUL!!

What's the name of this song and who is it by?

  • did i just see sister leonardson on keyboards?

  • hey i know some of these people.....awesome

  • my wife julie was gonna go to this... but were getting divorced now..... so she obviously never went

  • I'm sorry to hear that. But if there is one thing I have learned through God's Word and Promises is- where there is Jesus, there is HOPE!

    God bless you.

  • God Bless the sisters Who Pray

  • Thank You so much for posting this video. I was there at Ladies Retreat and man was it AMAZING! I can't wait for next year. A sister in the Lord from Calvary Apostolic Church, LaCrosse, WI

  • How cool that you were there and found this video! I'm glad you enjoyed the vid! Yes, it was amazing, wasn't it? I look forward to it all year- just me and God (and my Sisters). What a blessing this event is every year! We attend Apostolic Faith Church, Racine, WI. God bless you and your church!

  • And, if we are to go a different route, then, on a personal level, as I do follow all doctrine of the Holy Bible, why then would God not have yet corrected me on my actions? I am humble and submissive to Him and His Word... And on the contrary, He has rewarded me with healings and blessings for my praise and worship.

All in all, the Lord knows my heart, and I ask for conviction if I am in the wrong and do not know it, so, I shall abide by His Will, none else.

  • Women could prophesy, pray, and no doubt speak in other ways as well- when they were *recognized* and had the floor.

And lets not forget how wonderful the story of Mary the adultress, who was desperate and did what she could to reach Jesus. She was revered by Him for this. Jesus will honor true worship, not an abuse of a woman's voice and actions (or anyone's).

  • In 1 Tim 2:11-15, this is Paul explaining the same thing for the same reasons.

So, women are allowed to speak in a church meeting according to I Cor.11. They (like the men) were not permitted to disrupt the meeting by speaking out of order, or by chattering away with each other.

  • This passage certainly is not teaching that women cannot speak at all in church, because of the passage mentioned earlier in ch. 11:1-16. How can a woman pray or prophesy if she is not permitted to speak? This contradiction has never been answered satisfactorily by male-only interpreters.

  • The statement of women keeping silent is nothing more than a rebuke to the women for the part they were playing in the general atmosphere of confusion and hostility in that church. "Tell the women to shut up as well!" would be the sense of what Paul was saying.

  • If you are to read this Scripture carefully, and study it out, Paul was speaking to a church where women were abusing their conduct in this particular church, so, Paul had laid down some "ground rules" if you will, which gave protocols to tongues.

  • Where in 2 Tim does it say that?

Are you speaking of 1 Timothy 2:11-13?

At first glance, this could seem to be a blanket command that women are not allowed to speak at all in the church. However, 1 Corinthians 11:5 mentions women praying and prophesying in the church- and God does not condemn it much less mention it was wrong.

  • Do as you wish in your church, but I'll stay out of it.

  • And I will, thank-you.

I answer to only my God and the shepherd He put before me. If I am doing wrong in His eyes, He will tell me somehow, just as He has convicted me for other mistakes I have done.

    Thank-you for your concern.

  • Well,I'll be...isn't this a transgression of the teachings of Apostle Paul (that was a true apostle, not a self-made one like in our days) in 2 Timothy? Women are not allowed to raise their voice in the face of YHWH in churches and congregations? They must be silent and still and are not allowed ministry atribute.

  • I must tell you to pay close attention to the bodies who occupy the church pew these days. It is not men but it is women. If it were not for women on their knees praying and women doing the fasting and dedicating then every church in America would fold. If the men of this generation are so concerned about their positions in the church then we as women of God encourage them to take their place. Please read the book of Jeremiah 31:22

  • One word: J E S U S !!!!!!!!

  • Who is Jesus and why do you call his name?

  • Well that is a silly Q. Even atheists know who Jesus is. They may deny who He is, but, they at least they know who is being referred to. He is the Living God, who was manifested in the flesh to die for our sins. The First and the Last, and Who is to come! He is told about in the Bible,a nd also has made a real impact on my life. I have felt Him and heard Him, and I know Him. Ihave no doubt who He is and that He certainly exists.
