Jesus man wtf has 9/11 got to do with anything, you could say that about poor bob who died in his little jet with his big fucking cigar and his fat little hands over his big fucking mouth... Oh Irony
@azra3msncom Um... this song is about 9/11 victims who jumped out the windows. This song doesn't take some secret dissection techniques. It's what the song is about. No deeper meaning.
if it is a 9/11 reference it's not meaning funny as in a hysterical sense of the word... it's meant more as a peculiar event that he noticed as he went down that he was not the only one that took the same fate... this isn't a jab at 9/11 at all it's a good song and im my opinion is pretty tasteful.
i heard he lived across from the towers and watched people jump instead of burn, myboywas born that day,all those people dead and hes born, hope hes gonna be somthing special to this world
'I jumped out of the window, to get to the parking lot. I'm writing this little song on my way down. Never in my life have I felt a heat so hot. I had to get out."
It's about people who were jumpin out of the window when the WTC towers were burning and going to collapse...The weather was ironically great on that infamous day.
@vettemuziekjes he isnt LITERALLY saying its funny he is sad to see the others jumping and finds it ironic he is not the only one!!! this song shows NOTHING BUT RESPECT to the victims of 9/11.
It doesn't come out and say it ... most songs and works of art do not spell out exactly what they mean. It's obvious to me that it's about 9/11. Many people jumped out of the WTC to escape the flames. One woman in particular spread her arms as she leapt, as if she were flying. The title perhaps refers to both the jumpers and the poor people aboard the planes too. Beautiful and heartbreaking song.
This song is about a gut that is just about to jump from the burning towers of the WTC in 9/11 ("Such a lovely day to go flying") and when he finally jumps he feels sad because he is not the only one to jump. This video giives an alternative interpretation to the video that is just surreal!
Great film,GREAT SONG!!!!

Most of the songs on Collide0scope were written as reactions to 9/11.
That said, if you're here to argue about 9/11, you're here for the wrong reason.
Incredible song--that's really all there is to say on the matter.

@azra3msncom That doesn't change the fact that this song is clearly about 9/11

must agree it seems to fit very well to 9/11
but i'm not sure if it was actually written for it.
can't seeem to find anyting indicating that.
and what is so "funny" about it then ?
nothing "funny" about 9/11 how ironicly you want to look at it.
i've serious doubts this is about 9/11 at all.
i think it was just adopted like that record from live! who also wasn't written for 9/11
respect for the trauma involved in 9/11 but you can't go around claiming everything because of it.

Although I must admit that it's pretty good editing. You know this song is about 9/11(not trying to be didactic, hope I don't sound so)?

Hmm... You sound like it's bad to like it, because the song is about 9/11 and it's being used out of context, or in context with flying? =/

Wow, I love this song, but am not sure about the linking of it to Con Air...seems rather incongruous. Just my opinion.
