  • Too bad it wouldn't be that simple in a real war sitch. You're better of putting a hand over his mouth, then stab the shit out of his kidney. Then set him gently in the water to float away...

  • Is that the tigris river?

  • I find this so interesting, Jun Fan Gung Fu has an application just like this. I love Jiu-jitsu.

  • Man, i was there back in 2004-2005...OIF II. GJJ All the way..thats the BIAP.

  • then the terrorist wakes up and alerts the entire place.....your fucked

  • @mataleao360 If it's someone trying to kill you, why would you release the choke?

  • how long does it take before someone passes out if you do this one?

  • @Vimat15 10 seconds

  • @Vimat15 It's actually possible to knock-out after about 6-7 seconds if you can completely shut-off the carotid arteries. My brother knocked me out a bit (a bit meaning he let me go after I went limp) and I didn't know I was choking because I could still breathe. I wanted to see how long it would take, too. HAHA!

  • i train bjj, but it seems like outside of the throws, the rest of the gracie jiu-jitsu standing game is just a bunch of tricks and cheap little moves which may or may not work.

BJJ NEEDS A BETTER STANDING GAME!!!

  • @luchador1764 you could just cross train

  • BJJ is a ground based martial art, its not meant for standing or for fighting multiple opponents. JKT6 is right, what you do is cross train and learn more arts. an artist usually doesnt just practice strictly with 1 medium

  • Nice. Simple but nice.

There's always a counter to every technique. There are no "inescapable" techniques. However I would agree with an earlier post in that your best bet is never to get caught in this in the first place.

  • @JKDLIFER I agree to you there! however when a technique is very tight and finished for the closure! then it's nearley impossible to get out of it! however it is always possible to counter the technique before that happens! don't you agree?

  • @takidabossen Absolutely agree. Timing is everything. The best escape is never to get caught in the first place. The earlier you recognize it, the better. However I still stand by my comments that there are no such things as inescapable techniques. There's always a counter available.

  • @takidabossen hehe yes i understand perfectly what you mean! that is some good words from you ;) do you train bjj personaly? if so what belt degree do you have?

  • lol or you could pick up his gun

  • Can't you wrap your left arm around the neck at the same time you kick the back of the knee cap and then choke?

  • Hadaka jime in judo

  • @Wadim61 Who gives a fuck?

  • i like that. that way he can use an ippon seoi nage. =]

  • how to escape this?

  • pray that a stray meteor hits your attacker in the face.

  • Don't get caught in it in the first place. lol

  • @mail9 no escape once the choke is in place, the trick is not to ever get caught in it.

the only escape in my experience is a tap-out lol

  • @mail9 There are escapes.... They're just not high percentage against a strong opponent.

Use one hand to pull down on the "choking" arm which is around your neck, to create space between his arm and your neck and give you some survival time. Use the other hand to reach back and grab his "supporting" arm, which is behind your head, and pull that one out of place. Once he only has the arm around your neck, you have escape options such as a shoulder throw, or just ripping your head out of there.

  • @MrGarky I actually learned one other one against this specific standing variation, and usually works on taller guys (weak or strong). You grab the arm around your neck with both hands, one on his forearm and one on the bicep by the elbow. Step behind his outside leg and turn that way, and voila, he lets go and is take down. Finish with armbar, kimora, head-arm choke, etc.

  • @ehukai2003 if the attacker takes your balance first like shown here you cannot move your legs to get a position. your natural instinct is to try to regain balance, at that point the choke is already being applied. if the 2 of you fall back the choke is still applied.

  • "This is where Saddam used to chill." HAHA!

  • Awesome- in Ninjutsu we call that Sankaku Jime

  • @BujinkanMartialArts

that's weird...Sankaku jime in judo is the triangle choke

  • That's because Judo comes from Samurai Jujutsu, in the Bujinkan we have the original Samurai Jujutsu in our training.

  • rofl

  • Sankaku Jime is the leg Triangle in most martial arts. (I was in the Bujinkan from April 1999-now. I stopped training two years ago, but I still pay membership fees. I train BJJ strictly now.)

  • And I started complimenting Ninjutsu with Judo in 2001.

  • OMG i didnt know the bad guy had a gun too! Is this for splinter cell or people who want to mug people more inefficiently?

  • I must say, better to use this one some guy than to blow his brains out right lol

  • Depends on the guy....

  • I wonder how many terroists have been captured with this.

  • If you say this technique doesn't work, maybe you just don't know how to apply the pressure correctly. You don't sqeeze hard with your arms, the trick is actually to flex your back muscles. Try it, and you will understand. Hope this helps. Good luck with the bjj training.

  • i do gracie jiu jitsu AND traditional japanese koryu jujutsu, and it was the coolest thing for me to see that kick move to break them down, because it really shows the gracie roots in japanese ju jutsu. We do kicks like that aaaaall the time in traditional jiujitsu which is what gracie jiujitsu was based off of.

    this is awesome.

  • thanks so much god bless u

  • yea some ninjistu people said that to bras rutten, that they would eye gouge him when he tried, he replied ok go ahead when u move to gouge ill snap your neck... ok lets start... wat you dont want to... o ok....

  • haha once he's out you throw the body into the river

  • My thoughts exactly.

  • @mdmenchaca360 lol fo real

  • Hey get off the computer matt357. Your just a youtube martial artist. Become known for anything else besides commenting on youtube. You obviously have never had a fight with anybody besides your sister. Mapquest the Gracie Academy, go learn something. And you like raping men? WOW! That's pretty gay. No wonder like Jiu-Jitsu.

  • right hand palm up to finish choke?

  • yes

  • nah man palm down brah

  • you have studied alot of different arts haven't you rener.

  • This is where Saddam used to chill roflllllllll

  • I don"t train in the Gracie Academy but I think this technique is effective, even more against people who don"t train in a grappling art. Good technique, must be a little difficult in a bigger guy.

  • The technique works and it only take 3 seconds. Normal reflex is for the subject to grab the arm not the balls. When he finally decided to grab your balls he would be knocked out on his. You lost your balls because he knew you were coming.

  • no my technique is excellent this standing rnc does not work

  • this is where sadam used to chill......hahahahah

  • I think the Gracies are doing a great job teaching the world their style of jiujitsu, Im only 5'8 but ive defeated big drunk motherfu**ers thats like 6'2 in the street thanks to them, keep it up Gracies!!!

BTW I always acted in self defense I never picked the fights

  • nigger

  • this is a horrible technique..... i did this in a street fight and the person reached back and squeezed my balls until i let go these grachies have no idea what there talking about

  • Talk is cheap....come to the mat......before you get a good squueze on the privates....you will be unconcious. You must be one of those dim mak, pressure point masters.

    oooooo im scared

  • this is a response to matt357

  • are you stupid? i actually take bjj but this technique does not work i had some one in a standing rnc and the person reached back and squeezed my balls until i let go these grachies have no idea what there talking about

  • Your technique is wrong then, because in a proper RNC the other guy will go unconscious in 3 seconds flat.

  • v=Q6c61D0CEh0

Watch, from the time he starts applying pressure to when the guy goes out for a moment it's roughly 3 seconds.

    Same results here: v=vSVHgReJnew

  • Stop hating. I met Royce Gracie, guy was cool. don't start saying s**** about jiu jitsu.

  • Maybe your technique needs some work. I used other moves and I'm 5' 7" and tapped out guys 6' and weigh 210.

    Practice more.

  • no my technique is excellent this standing rnc does not work

  • If your technique was truly excellent as you say, you'd know to respect the Gracie method, even if you do not practice it. The halls of shame are lined with the portraits of people with your level of confidence, and much more skill.

  • Perfect but how do u control which person learns this and uses it for it s own good, jiu jitsu was NOT meant to be too public....the sport version is but not this aspect....sad

  • i guess that you now determine what the gracies should and should not do now aren't you

not only that but you seem to think that you can say what i should and should not learn

  • No, I would never determine what they should do, but answer this, would you agree to openly show tecniques designed to temporarily nulify any person regardless of their backround ei.. a drug addict, a criminal, serial killer, rapist, child molester, kidnapper, convict in jail??? NO? ok neither do I agrre to that, and you never know who watches these videos, and I never messed with what you should learn.

  • Excellent video and this does work really well especially if you deliver a strong and fast kick to the back of the calf muscle.

Othern than the choke , i would opt for the neck-snap which would kill your enemy in less than 2 seconds.

Another great from behind technique would be to stab him kidneys or ribs first , with your LEFT hand choking his neck.

    Hope that helps .

    Ciao

  • maybe, we don't want to kill...maybe the enemy has information we can obtain....(not likely now with a weak postion on interogation).

  • I got a real basic problem that sometimes happen and I need some help, when I get the guillotine I normally always drop down and pull guard, but because my hands are taken up doing the choke, the guy I am choking uses his hands to do a simple guard pass by elbow or hand in thigh and push through. Is my guard too low? What's wrong?

  • The choke should work in seconds...let him try to pass, choke him out. However, with that said, you should not MAKE a technique work, if your loosing position, transition appropriate to his move....Most beginners try to MAKE a technique work after they loose position. remember this "Position before submission"

  • what happens if he doesn't put his gun down and he hears you coming?...

    anyways, cool move!

  • as a soldier, you will have the weapons you need for backup. If you don't have a backup and your within reaching range you can disarm the bad guy. A riffle is easier to disarm than a hand gun.

  • happy new year to the guys at the gracie academy!

  • Haha you guys are crazy

  • nice one
