@JayEey I don't think so she did have a couple of children and even claimed that Wild Bill was the father of one of them. The fact the kid was born 4 years after Bill was dead nobody ever questioned. At least not where she would hear them,LOL. Also in later life she became quite wealthy. And she made arrangements to be buried next to Wild Bill in Deadwood. I think she really loved Wild Bill. Bill on the other hand thought of her as one of the boys, loved like a sister.

I followed the Deadwood t.v. series but stopped because the violence and the vulgarity was really too much for me. My favorite scene in Deadwood was a cute and sweet scene where C. Jane sings "Row, Row, Row yer Boat" to a little girl who was horribly traumatized from seeing her family butchered.
