This is one of the fundamental differences between Geisler's view and the Scriptures. God does not "try" to do anything. The very term "try" implies the potential for failure. God does not "try" to save, but He ACTUALLY SAVES!

Well, this proves that, with all due respect, Dr. Geisler just doesnt understand Reformed theology and Calvinism.Calvinists dont believe God is trying to save anybody. We believe that He actually has saved those to whom it was intended. God does not make salvation possible, if you believe, but God has guaranteed and eternally secured salvation for them that believe.

Just curious how we are defining the term "force" here. Is force always bad? Does this just pertain to physical force? Does the term force here include the force of logic. If all force is bad and logic is a force, does this mean that Christians should not use logic?
