  • The vocal melodies are trash. Billy also tends to sing in a way i can not stand in his later music. It feels like since there reunion all of there (his) later music just does not have the soul that gish, Siamese dream, Mellon collie etc have..I think ill stick with old school SP. A lot of this reminds me of Zwan..not that its a bad thing.

  • The music on this track is great. The vocals are terrible.

  • what a controversial song, some people say this is the worst sp song, and some others love it, I'm among the ones who like this song, it is simple but interesting.

  • A lot of their other songs are great, but god, this might be one of the worst songs I've ever heard...

  • everyone everyone everyone everyone everyone everyone everyone everyone everyoooooooone

    turd song, i love it!

  • hehehe...this song accidentally came up on my nook when me and my girlfriend had an intense makeout session when we layed on it

  • Billy Corgan meets Pink Floyd.

  • Billy, sorry for being part of the most disloyal group of fan rock n'roll has ever saw!

  • This sounds like it was recorded at Kings Dominion.

  • @armpitpolice I laughed my ass off

  • This song is just badass. Its as simple as that. No questions needed.

  • i wish there were more lyrics, but other then that this song kicks ass.

  • This kinda reminds me of the pre gish demos.

  • If anyone thinks the new stuff is going to be one line repeated over and over again then they don't know anything about The Smashing Pumpkins. The new stuff has ranged from sad and depressed(Song For A Son), sweet and simple (Just A Stitch In Time, and Spangled ), deep and emotional (Tom Tom, and My Love Is Winter) , dark and mysterious The Fellowship, and Astral Planes, hopeful and yet against (Freak, Lonely Is The Name).

  • This song is to listen very high sooooooooo stoned

  • Fuck; yeah - I love this song.....makes me so excited to be totally in love with a pumpkins song again.

  • TO WHOM THIS MAY CONCERN: DEAR RIFT RAFT STAY OFF OF THIS VIDEO AND ALL SONGS THAT COME FROM TEARGARDEN BY KALEIDESCOPE. WE ARE SICK OF HEARING YOU BITCH, THANK YOU HAVE A NICE DAY.

  • it's kind of like NIN how trent is the band.

  • @deftox

    No, it is not.

  • @lemonscure just saw them live, and yes it is.

  • @deftox

now with Jeff and Nicole working on this album (at least on demos), I think it will became a band again, and not a solo project with BC ahead.

  • "like" this comment if you think the smashing pumpkins should play at Seattle's Bumbershoot 2011!

  • i dont know why but for some reason i love how he says "everyone"

  • I can't wait to see what Jimmy does

  • i used to hate this song, when it was played in the SITS shows, but now is my favourite song when im walking down the street, i dont know how he can pull that off but billys music is always fresh and interesting.

  • this is the second best song so far from TBK. i like the sound but the lyrics are too repetitive for me.

  • i see this project just like trent makes with nine inch nails is not a band is a project with alternate members, if you don't know billy made all the songs for mellon collie alone so shut up and listen the fuckin' song damn it

  • @rodrigoNIN90 Actually you are wrong. James and D'arcy recorded their parts for Mellon Collie. All 4 members were in the studio, recording Mellon Collie. As far as I know, only Siamese Dream and Zeitgeist are just Billy Corgan + Jimmy Chamberlin. And the first two EPs of Teargarden are Billy Corgan + Mike Byrne. But Billy said that EP3 will be all 4 members (with Jeff and Nicole). We already saw that the whole band were recording Lonely is the Name demo. And its not a project. It never was.

  • Mike sucks ass.Could've got anyone decent but instead they got some novice kid, such a shame.

  • This song is 1000 times better live!

  • @SuperJElliott Totally agree. Was one of my favorites on their tour this year ^_^

  • I can tell Corgan has been meditating. The chorus is basically the same rhythm key of an Indian chant.

  • I'll be honest in that I came this close to giving up on Billy's new model of the Smashing Pumpkins after Zeitgeist, American Gothic, G.L.O.W. and FOL not only failed to impress me, but actually made me roll my eyes a little. Superchrist and the songs of TBK(so far) have brought me back in.

However, and so many will probably disagree, but none of the TBK material matches up to even the best of the Zwan material. I'm sorry, but people who bad mouth Zwan likely never heard much. Underrated!

  • @Dylanfanh61 Zwan is always considered a ''failure'' and I disagree 100%! Mary Star Of The Sea is such a great album and their live performances were up their with the best.

  • @silverfuck77jpm

zwan was fantastic. maybe the people sucked but that album was great.

  • I think I have pinpointed the main weakness of this album - it is extremely superficial. I don't think anyone is questioning that the songs are catchy, and they definitely have their soaring musical moments too, e.g. the solo in Song for a Son. But scratch beneath the surface and there is really nothing there. Has anyone actually been able to decipher any meaning from any of these songs? I have tried hard and failed, however I would love to be proven wrong on this issue, can anyone see meaning?

  • Update: The newest song, Freak, seems to be a fair bit deeper, talking about how humanity is messing with the world, and how we shoud be careful because "Life is not a dream where you can wake up from the dream you want". But yeah, can anyone answer my previous question? :)

  • These lyrics aren't DOING anything with the music. Anyone who thinks that these words are moving should relisten to 1979, 33, galapagos, for martha, home, try try try....it making me sad just talking about it... The words, and even the music to an extent, fails to touch me on a deeper level, and I'm left asking myself, "so what?" The Smashing Pumpkins was a band, not a person. We owe it to Billy to appreciate both the man AND the music, and to distinguish between the two.

  • Damn this is good.

  • this one is my favorite out of the 4 so far. not great but not that bad. his voice is better than on the 3 other songs.

I used to love this band before..

  • I guess Billy brought back the old name mainly for commercial reasons, but unfortunately that was not enough. And its a shame, cos SP were so huge back then, and if they ever returned, that should happen in a more glorious way. These efforts would be ok for a decent solo project but don't do justice to the Pumpkins' past.

  • I hope the lyrics improve.

  • definitely the best one on teargarden so far. it has that nice, heavy sound the Pumpkins have been known for.

  • I actually like the repetitive lyrics and the guitar effects are very psychedelic and its got a nice dark groove which carries it well

  • Why is everyone slaggin off the stuff of Teargarden already?...it's better than that Zeitgeist shit

  • Jeff Schroeder is holding his own.. he seems bad ass

  • This song sounds like an reminds me of "Gish"

  • Wow the intro riff to this sounds sooo much like Chant for Eschaton by Behemoth. Far from being horrible song though, definitely like it more than any of the other Teargarden stuff so far by a long shot.

  • EVERYONE EVERYONE EVERYONE EVERYONE EVERYONE EVERYONE EVERYONE EVERYONE EVERYONE

  • @Pissugar

WIDOW WAKE MY MIND WIDOW WAKE MY WIND

    WIDOW WAKE MY EVERYONE

    EVERYONE WAKE MY WIDOW

WINDOW WIDOW MY WAKE MY EVERYONE

    EVERYONE EVERYONE

  • @Ambulanceo MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY EVERYONE MORE TO COME WIDOW COME MY MIND

  • Everyone bang ur head on the wall...ohh, fail

  • in the end what is in a name? it is still billy making music... i dont really believe you guys would be satisfied if he called it "the billy corgan band" either.. some people are idiots lol. it just means that when he tours he will play old songs like "today" too.. do you think all 44 songs on this album are going to be one lyric and then repeated? if so you do not know billy corgan's work

  • @chrisothoulos Not to mention the band name was somewhat of a joke, much like gave names to songs which had nothing to do with the song at all.

  • this is not the punkins 8(

    go solo billy...

    rip smashing pumpkins

  • what happened to lyrics? lol Love this song though

  • i don't really like where this is going

  • @artistofwar1 i agree

  • Lyrics are sparse...what the hell is he singing, anyway? "Everyone get up on your soul..?" or something...(??)

  • God, I wish the REAL Smashing Pumpkins would re-unite.

  • I grew up with Billy/Pumpkins and so I shall die that way. Dude pushes out some goodness. Keep it up Billy.

  • lol Billy doesnt give a fuck what anyones thinks or says anymore, this is the proof. He does whatever the fuck he wants now. I like it.

  • sorry but this song is crap

  • I'm done they've messed up everything since Siamese and Mellon

  • i loved song for a son but this one is shit. Music sounds like a cheap instrumental for a 70s grindhouse film and the lyrics make me want to rip my eyelids out

  • lmao this song is so fucking bad.

  • billy saving rocknroll, again.

  • i feel like he has a good song in here somewhere... but its lost because the record is broken. chorus keeps repeating, and then theres a second chorus. no verse. i could write something better than this, with an actual soul, in less than 10 minutes.

  • this is clearly a joke, i mean its as if he's trying to sabotage the song on purpose, perhaps that it is the point..

  • haters stfu enough said

  • the "verse" kinda sounds like korn. and thats not a compliment

  • Everyone?

  • Don't get me wrong.. Billy Corgan is a fucking legend.after Adore..he went down the shitter....Zwan was a disaster, the reunion of "the smashing pumpkins" was a joke...No James Iha, no D'arcy means not smashing pumpkins...he shouldve called it a different band name in general because it wasnt the pumpkins...the crashing blumpkins shouldve been the name. i think all you sp fans who like all billys work after adore are in denial and are hanging on for the sheer novelty of the name billy corgan

  • no I just like his music a lot

  • Whoa. People are complaining about lyrics not being deep enough? I didn't think anybody cared about lyrics any more these days. I thought people would listen to anything with a good tune, especially things about bitches and hoes and da clubs.

Lighten up, though. This isn't Lil Wayne we're talking about here, it's the Smashing Pumpkins who have a track record of quality music. So they come out with one song that's light on lyrics. Big deal.

  • out on tour with the smashing pumpkins

nature kids, i/they don't have no function

i don't understand what they mean

and i could really give a fuck.

  • this is the best song from teargarden by kaleidyscope.

  • @coltrane106 Definately!

  • In case u didnt read other comments. This is terrible and way too repetitive. Go back to 1979 and bring us back some good music.

  • @bigweezey Agreed. Although I don't mind this one, not a big fan of the others (Song for a son isn't that bad, I love the shred in it). But they all have really repetitive lyrics in them.

  • @NooDLES411911 Exactly. I agree with that. Tis is why I cant listen to the techno band Daft Punk much cuz they r way too repetitive on the lyrical side of things.

  • A good repeative song is Sex and Violence by the Exploited. This would be a great song without those horribly repeated lyrics. This is dissapointing. Love the solos and the beginning, but that's all I can credit.

  • this song really sucks. my friend and I listen to this only to laugh at it. EVERYONE EVERYONE!!!! It is so terrible! Billy Corgan has lost his mind!

  • best song off this album yet

  • This'll get thumbed down to infinity because it seems that pumpkins fans these days can't be critical of their beloved BC, but this sucks. Repetitive, another crappy mix job... guitar solos are great, but they don't make a good song. I'm very disappointed. Song for a Son is the best of the bunch, and even its not a great song. Its good, yeah, but will it be worth listening to 15 years from now? I sincerely doubt it.

  • billy souinds good here

    but yes- very repetitive

however it sounds like it was intended

  • God damnit Billy. Back to Gish and Siamese Dream for me, I'm waiting for the damn EP where he whips out the big muff and old tube amps.. he said he MIGHT do that on one of the EPs for Teagarden.

  • pretty bump but better than all the rest of the latest stuff, i think he should do a pumpkins style version of some of the acoustic stuff, i know it is pumpkins but you know what i mean, some of those like "mama" and "if all goes wrong" would have been even more epic with his studio ideas, look at 1979, its great acoustic but the original is un touchable

  • Ill give it a thumbs up but its not so good. Too repetitive IMO

  • i think the only part that i like of this song it`s 2:21

  • somewhat enjoyable. the solo and effects used are great...

  • im not feeling it :(

  • It really is over for them isn't it..? : (

  • incredible simply like the truth...

  • been waiting a long ass time for that guitar effect to be used again

  • hahaha! wow!!! this song sucks so much!!!! this is so horrible! Corgan has completely lost it! :(

  • it sounds scratchy and low quality not to mention repeatitive.

  • We will see more songs with lyrics and music that ae the norm for Billy.......He just through this together for the album.........

Song for a son is real good lyric wise and melody......So is A stitch in time.........

    Teargarden will be epic!!!

  • Agree Teargarden will end up as the best Billy has done!!!!!!!!!!

  • he sold out remember? you can't expect everything to be great. I think i like it just cause its new smashing pumpkins song, but yeah i like it better then widow wake my mind.

  • I like this song as a whole but what the hell is going on with the lyrics on this album?!

This song uses a grand total of 10 different words!

  • @dylan9236 It's true! I guess he probably just wanted to write more of a chant.

  • I get the impression this will sound much better and make more sense when Billy takes this one on the road. He better come to the UK...

  • Definitely the best song from the EP. A Stitch In Time and A Song For A Son were decent but Widow just sucks. But this song is really good. Can't wait to hear more.

  • Mi costa molto dirlo....anche perche' sono un fan delle zucche da 15 anni, ma questa canzone non mi piace per niente....non sembra opera del mitico billy!!!!!!

  • I think Billy is regressing. This sounds like a Scientology recruitment song.

  • @potnoodles1995 That would be amaizing! you funny!

  • Serioulsy Billy, I've tried so hard to like your new stuff but this just isn't good. It's meaningless, it's trite and just bad. You've gotten lazy in the lyrics department and I don't care how much you believe you are the smashing pumkins. You are not, open your eyes and you need to see that James d'arcy and Jimmy helped you push yourself. You are better than this. Make peace and take time with your music. I still have hope

  • wow definetly repeditive! haha but i think thats partly why i like this song so much. This and stitch in time are the best (so far) Keep it up billy!

  • I like but not felt in love...

  • this is my second favorite song on teargarden after Song for a Son, the new album is rockin' man, great to see Corgan is still rockin

  • I do not care if this songs id like over and over again with the words........

    I love it !!!

  • I mean it's good, but Billy has so much more potential in regard to the lyrical content. Everyone everyone everyone....etc. Perhaps it would have been better left as an instrumental. After all, in my opinion, Billy's lyrics were the heart and soul of SP...and now it's all "dead and gone."

  • @medellia85 chill lil will! he knows what hes doing!

  • It may be repeatitive.........But it is solid .....

A solid gem thats trippy and fun to sing along to.......

    Remember there are 40 left........

  • Too repeatitive good god!! Everyone everyone erveryone everyone everyone everyone everyone everyone everyone everyone everyone everyone........ far away far away far away far away........ everyone everyone everyone everyone......far away far away......everyone

  • @Iknowgoodmusic theres more to a song than just lyrics, too all the people complaining about the repetitive lyrics, listen to the guitar part, the solos, the bassline, these are the parts of this song that make this song what it is, honestly, theres a reason we listen to music rather than just sit around reading poetry..

  • Too repeatitive good god!!

  • I was fairly disappointed by the first three on Teargarden, but my god this one is incredible!

It just feels so right, and I beleive it is the first song on Teargarden to have comparable depth to the Pumpkins Gish - Machina.

My only criticism would be that, like the first three, it is needlessly repetitive...why should all the verses be identical?

  • me like :)

  • billy is focusing more on the instruments than the lyrics. I love the trippy feel. feels like GLOW, mixed with GISH, mixed with ZEITGEIST mixed with some acid.

  • i guess

  • bad ass

  • Listening to it over and over.....Trippy sounds Billy you are on the top of your game right here....

Does anyone agree that these 4 songs themselves are better than all of Zeitgeist?

  • @jmInDreams Have a listen to how some of the Zeitgeist songs sound live before dismissing the album entirely. Check out United States live at Rock Am Ring 2007

  • @y488

Well i did like "Bleeding the Orchid", "Pomp and Circumstance". but overall Teargarden will be better..........

  • @jmInDreams

Teargarden seems more consistent thus far, I do agree. Not all of Zeitgeist was great, but there are some gems on that album.

I highly recommended checking out the YouTube vid of

United States live at Rock Am Ring 2007 <-- Jimmy opens it like a mammoth.

  • This song is killer! Love the guitar distortion! The solos during the chorus section with the "Yeah" parts are awesome!

  • Nice, Billy isn't afraid to change his music :)

  • Oh. Hell yes. 4/4 indeed. Another great track.

  • Good awesome...I am first to leave a comment on this trippy little gem.........

I was waiting for this one badly !!!

    4/4 so far i think !!!!!!!!!!!1
