They didn't create parkour, french sailors did.
They turned it into a life style for the concrete jungle.

French sailors? Wtf? David Belle's father created Parkour as a tool to use in his work as a firefighter. Parkour is designed to form your body to overcome the most urban Obstacles. Freerunning was created by Sebastien Foucan who is an old friend of David.

Actually Laurent Piemontesi is the NEWEST of the Yamakasi group (I repeat, yamakasi GROUP, not the clan). The original Yamakasi consisted of David Belle, Sebastien Foucan (both are not longer in the group) and the other six guys. If you saw the movie Yamakasi (2001), you will notice that Laurent Piemontesi is the only one who is NOT of the original Yamakasi.
