  • I'm just wondering what the name and the cost of the simulator with the remote?

  • i love your attitude bro..... thanks u helped me a lot...i haven't flown my cp cx in months because i don't wanna crash it again..im waiting on my simulator to come..

  • I've watched your videos for a while now and I am thinking of buying the Esky belt cpx. I have learned flying a 4 channel helicopter so now I want to go 3d, the problem is, I am afraid of breaking the helicopter at the first try doing a roll or a flip. And if I buy the belt cpx I will not have enough money for a simulator like the aerofly or the phoenix. Do you think I could learn those flips rolls and inverted flight with FMS? The free rc simulator? Or do you even know a better free simulator.

  • @XLosSantosX same here....

  • @MyForsake well I have got my belt cpx already, As many others said the esc of the cpx is crap. It sopped working yesterday so I have ordered the hobbywing skywalker 40amp esc. Everything else in that helicopter is just awesome, i have already flown 2 battery charges and i am very happy with it. The only important thing is to get a simulator cable for your transmitter. First I've learned controlling the Helicopter on Heli-X 0.9 (freeware) and then I went out and flew the belt cpx.

  • Thank's mate! You are helpfull.

  • You are helpful i just got a raptor 30 class nitro copter and i cant even fly i bout it used and i got a deal so

  • do not take infermation do not wach the nose i had to get a neew one for waching it this video ows me it was 130$ for it

  • @superzebra5399 jesus mate, this guy is flying rc helis for more than 20 years, he is just showing you a basics, basic rules, you have to use your own brain later, stop complaining.

  • thats it a simalater is nothing like driving rc helis ive flew one its nothing like this.

  • Hi Dave,

I recently had a heli and spent a lot on repairs.

I wished I could have known about this and practice, practice, practice. Then go out and fly. (sigh).

At least I still have the radio controller.

    regards,

    RickH.

  • nice vid thx

  • cool

  • i have a smya s107 and i can fly it really well i wont to move up what would be best 2 git next sr120 or a mcpx

  • what game you play

  • hi sir wat computer program are u using ? where we buy it ?

  • @40calfmj It looks like AeroFly Simulator.

  • hi sir wat computer programa are u using ? where we buy it ?

  • stop yelling at me... just kidding, thanks

  • hy i have honey bee v2 how can i connect its controll with aerofly plzzz tell me?????/

  • I fly mine by steering the tail, not the nose. I just like it better and more comfortable with it. I don't care what others say.

  • dude dont tell that u could keep fingers off ...some would do in real flight

  • Nice to help learners! Why is the shadow square?

  • I've been into RC helicopters for a month now and WOW THEY'RE FUN.

So far, I've went from a CX2 to a 120SR and have many milestones to accomplish.

One question, say you've given full pitch and full roll to one direction for, let's say, one second; if you had no limit to free space, would the helicopter continue as such or return to its original directional inclination given 50% of all inputs?

I expect to watch as many of your instructional videos as possible.

  • how do you get it to work with the Tx off???

  • @alt572 turn the tx on and you fry the motherboard, the tx is not made for sim but can be adaped to do so and so during the conversion the calble does not have a diode so you could burn ur fuse and then ur motherboard

  • Thank you Sir for taking the time to show a newbie like me some important tips on video. Much appreciated.

  • hi nightflyer can i just e-sky transmitter on this simulator?

  • do u let the antaner luce or let it go

  • 360p is hq (i think)

  • great video !!!!!

  • where did you get thet game

  • is this for mac as well?

  • there's no high quality btw!

  • Hi, do they make software for Mac users?

  • those sticks on real dx6is dont go back to there positon like that

  • Iam new to flying helicopters and have been since March. My heli is a honey bee v2 fixed pitch. And your video sure helps out a lot on how to fly. In fact, i just learned how to move it foward on the ground and turn it around. But its still hard for me when i lift it off the ground. I always seam to crash it. Its just going to take me some time on my simulater as to real flight.

  • ive got that rc helicopter i real life

  • @5IrFaN5

The way you talk to older folk be careful you dont end up gettin ur dik shoved up ur bum idiot!

  • i can use my own control?? do you use a Hitec Eclipse 7 right....

  • Can I request your 9 Heli Flying Tips and Rules of Thumb?

i have phoenic rc and cant get a simple hover???

  • Good advice on "pulsing" the controls - but people should know it's not good to let the control sticks "snap" back to center, letting your fingers off the sticks. Dave shows that by way of demonstration only. (Right Dave?) But you want to keep things around center and give small inputs, that's for dang sure!

  • @philip0072 thanks you are awesome I hop you will subscribe to me I'm subscribing you

  • hey dave i am 9 and i was wondering what type of helicopter i should get and where? ive already had a bunch of those mini ones by airhogs. but i kinda wanted a real outdoor one! please reply

  • @skateboardboy2000 hi I used to do model air craft but all you need to do is go to your local model shop and thay should be able to tell you every thing you need to do hope this helps

  • Great video. I've got a 3 channel swift which I've been having trouble flying. Instructions in chingrish don't indicate you have to pulse the controls all the time. will try again when it's recharged.

  • @zardozcs Get a load of these instructions on my heli box:

When crash it with the main blades and then stop turning. When low in pressure or excess of charger or excess of push. And then helicopter battery will protect it automatically. It will appears phenomena of power off function and no function. Please re-open the on-off and will resume it normally.

  • @zardozcs

LOL I got something similar when I bought my 3 ch Defender. The instructions were all but meaningless. good luck with deciphering the code aye...

  • sometimes when your talking you sound like your getting frustrated with someone about what to do. lol its kinda funny cause your talking to yourself really.

  • Thanks pal! Excellent.

  • Your Video Really Helped Me Out. Thank You Very Much. I Am Getting A Blade 400 In 2 Days And I Am A Little Nervous About Flying And Crashing.

  • VERY GOOD LESSON!

  • whats a cheap transmitter i can buy to learn on phoenix?

  • Weheyy!

    Hi-tec Eclipse 7

  • I've got Esky Belt CP V2.....I'm new at this flying business.....Is this the best way to practice as a total beginner....if yes then can you tell me what flight simulator you are using on the video above? Cheers....

  • How good does the computer have to be to use pheonix? I just have laptops and the newest one is still 2 years old at least and they're nowhere near gaming machines. HP DV2315nr with an extra gig of ram (2 gigs total).

  • Since your so knowlegable in this hobby maybe you can answer this question. I have a DX6i and want a cheap flight sim. What kind of cable do I need? A link would be great! I downloaded rchelisim and tried using a cable with a headphone jack on both ends after I read on a forum that it would work. It odviously didn't work unless there's a trick to setting it up. I'm guessing I need something with a headphone jack on one end and a usb on the other?

  • @SnwBrdFrvr if you want a great simulater get the phoenix best sim out right know and is compatible with your dx6i or you can buy it with the radio it comes with a spektrum dx5e for about 170 bucks.

  • thanks for this vid mate ;)

  • Excellent video, but thissimulator is expensive. I spend the same money on a real heli and I am learning by making mistakes.

  • @ Maluz - I wish it were that simple. Nothing will happen if you center the sticks. Every action whether done by you or naturally has to be compensated for. So when a certain something hits the fan, you better hope you're skilled enough to get out of it, or be prepared to face the pain of a repair bill. Learning to fly is an art of time, patience and pain. You will crash, it's inevitable. But each one is invaluable, regardless of damage.

  • Ok let me get this straight!... so is it safe to say that if you're in trouble.... leting go both stick would bring the helli back to nuatral?? please reply, thanks!!

  • Only if it is a coaxial heli otherwise no.

  • how much expo have you got set a hell of a lot from the look of it

  • does that heli you were controlling was real or virtual?

if its virtual, please tell me how do you get it

  • i cant find aerofly at hobby lobby. Where can I get this? also is realflight any better? what is the best rc plane simulator?

  • @megamindstorm101 phoenix is the best sim visit or check it out on you tube phoenix simulator dont waste your money on realflight phoenix blows it away.

  • I would get aerofly but I cant find it! :-(

  • are u serious? this is the internet. ebay?

  • @progamerIII well if you dont know I chcked many sites including aerofly site and couldnt fly it. Also I dont like ebay.

  • Ok I need help. I'm really satisfied with the quality of my copter, because after just about 5 seconds of using the throttle, my helicopter was about 12 metres in the air! No exaggeration. So, once it was there, it kinda didn't end well. It crashed. Don't worry it still works ;) So guys, if my helicopter is 12 metres in the air, how do I get it to land safely

  • pull back on the throttle............

  • don't worry from a co-axial, its very hard to break, the biggest cras what i had was from 10m, and i hit the wall first, still, only the blades broke, sims can teach u basics, but reality is a "bit" different :P

    and its around 100$ max

  • try lama v4, co-axial, easy to fly, sheap, it's allmoast hanging by itself, and then u can move to a collective pitch one, with tail rotor

  • this is great ...

  • you know i see how your explaining things and yes your helping alot of ppl and you say to pulse the sticks to hover but whenever you stop talking about pulsing the sticks you dont even pulse the sticks so your defying everything you said about doing it i mean im not trying to talk down about this cause your explaining things very well and demonstrating good too just not about the pulsing but thanks for the video i liked it keep it up :)

  • man when i start it is starts spinning like hell... an then if i press more throttle it stabilises... but too late

  • Very nice

  • Awesome man , u rock 5/5 stars ,thanks helped me a lot to understand what to do with my 1st walkara 4#3b so i wont damedge it too much :)

  • I have been flying Helis and Jets for 8 Years

and i half to admit i would of rather had him as a teacher when i started Helis.

    Btw.......5*

  • Yes, I'm using AeroFly Professional Deluxe on Windows 7 Ultimate on my Samsung R610 laptop.

The software work works a treat, so does RealFlight G4.5. I'm using the controller from my Honey Bee CP3, yes it's finally been released, I have not flown it as yet.

  • hey i have a laptop windows xp can i buy i program like that so i can leran on the computer give me links or somthing

  • thanks for that nice video. *****

  • ye i also got it. In fact i warn the knewbies that flying a Heli is Much more harder than a plane!!!!

  • I'm still learning and this vid is a great help

  • Thanks for this video, I'm planning to get an RC Heli one of these days.

  • thanks for the help man add me and make some more movies.

  • Thanks for helping me take my first heli flight just by listening and watching you ..Thanks a bunch Mr. Night Flyyer!!!!!!!!!!

  • I just got the Aerofly for the Mac. I am more into airplanes but I want to learn more about helicopters. This is such a wonderful simulator. I would recommend it to anyone.

  • So true, planes are awesome but, when it comes to flying a helicopter... it's very unique and complex making it all worth while.

    Virtual sims really do help.

  • hmmm 0%pitch at 50% throttle and it flies...thats REALY interesting.

  • im not sure but i think the sim has almost similar physics, but i think this simulator is more for getting use to the controls

  • well thanks i can c get that progam first ceaper thanks

  • can you send me the 9 heli tips..?

  • left stick of the controller, it has up,down, left, and right can anyone explain what are the left and right direction used for pls ? 10x

  • rudder and tail rotor

  • i just got mine today at 1400 hrs ,been on and off it mostly on tho its now 2335 hrs anyone else feel mad frustrated?

  • where can i get that type of computer

program like that for my computer

  • read the description it tels you

  • i have read it and watched this all week long he makes it look easy , have you tried it?

  • yeah. flight sims are really great if you want to get a heli or a plane, as that way you can train before you buy, so that you dont crash and waste a lot of money. And it definitely isnt easy. He has years of experiance

  • hi. how to connect my transmitter to pc .. i have special cabel..svhs to smol jack :)...

  • thanks

  • they will to an extent but as those helis only have limited flight controls it should be much easyer to control with only left and right tail controls being reversed when nose in facing you, these small helis give only limited feel of flying true rc capable helicopters, there ok for fun but for beginners i would suggest an esky co axel 4 channel as there stable yet give true rc flight feel then you can move on to larger scale helis

  • hey dave i have the same simulator and i wanted to no how to get the upgraded helis and planes

  • hi Dave. You have a very cool series here in YT. I just started on RC helis by procuring an Esky BL. Can I request your 9 Heli Flying Tips and Rules of Thumb? Thanks lot and keep up the good job! Gent

  • On the way in a PM. Thanks.

  • great video! looking forward to watching the rest! :)

  • Thanks.

  • Thanks. Put it up.

  • Ok, so when your doing 3d flying..e.g. inverted, rolls, i need to hit the switch, that is when the power stays the same all the time until you turn the switch off ,right?

    Great Video

  • Exactly. The hardest lessons for me in my heli times have been crashing, (trying to do stuff real helis dont) and forgetting to shut off the switch, thus allowing the heli to eat blades and gears on the ground. LOL.

  • hello nightflyer, just watched your training video, you are a good teacher .I am in the process of buying a flight sim. someone told me that the aero fly deluxe is the best. I just saw the esky which is so much cheaper what do you think? should i go for the more expensive option?

  • Thanks. Get the Esky for the tx and get the cleaview sim to learn on.

AFPD is best but you need a mighty machine and vid card to run it.

  • im very very thankful to mr Herbert! i actually am a beginner and i bought right away a HIROBO LEPTON EX. i know stuipd, but i didnt know what the differnce is.and its only mr Herberts 9tips that i had a print out of and a couple of other videos online that i can finally hover myself!! practially my pants were wet on the first hover..with a few drops and now im relaxed and i can hover at about chest level.i love the lepton and thanks again to you sir!! may god bless you and your family always!

  • Thanks very much. I am very glad you are progressing so well. Happy Flying,

    Dave

  • Never mind my last post. Guess it helps if you look on the Aerofly website. They do make a version for intel Macs.

  • Does anybody know of any company that makes a flight sim for a Mac?

  • Another cool video, You have the best videos, i have learned so much from you...Thanks!

  • Thanks kindly too!

  • Hi! Cal you please tell me what controller you are using and how is it connected to the PC?

Could you please tell me what interface cable should I buy to connect a Honey Bee CP2 Controller (6 CH) to the PC, in order to use it to simulate?

Thank you and congratulations on your GREAT videos!

  • I am using a Hitec Eclipse 7 with the transmit module removed. I am using an Art Tech cable that came with the F-18 I got. It is a hit an miss thing, it seems but I am now using the ESKY TX and Cable it comes with if you buy their Sim TX (it comes with FMS free), but this is way better. Thanks for the kind words.

  • Awsome! please send me your 9 tips to flying. I think your videos are a great source of learning. Thank you very much.

  • On the way in a PM

  • how do you do the hover? its me i change back to my old acct....

  • Centered sticks all the time. Always allow the right stick to recenter after every movement. Tiny movements and never quit.

  • thank u

  • True. Thanks.

  • hey there, i recently bought a 4ch heli, a dynam phoenix, its very unstable, ive tried pulsing like u said but still having trouble with it. i was thinking of making the stablizer bar a few inches longer, do u think this will make it more stable ? any i ideas ?

  • Actually, a larger flybar will tend to make it less stable. More weight up against the flybar paddles will make it more stable. Does it vibrate? Does it move in small circles? How is it unstable? (The center of gravity may be too far aft.)

  • its the most unstable heli ive had, i can fly co-axial choppers easily, but this new one ive got is almost like a 2 channel, jus goes up and goes anywhere, its doesnt fly in cirlces, ive had it hovering for about 10secs, thats my best and ive already spent $50 on replacing a few parts. ill try add some weight like u said, as for cg im not sure. how do u find cg on heli's?

  • You aim one main blade forward and one rearward and hold the heli by the flybar. See if the heli wants to tip forward, backwards, or not at all. If it wants to tip backwards at all, you must shift weight towards the front. A slight forward lean is okay.

  • Get a Honeybee fixed pitch and study my 9 heli flying tips again. Coaxials are very easy. 4-6 channel helis are best learned with a live instructor.

  • ncie computer programming this is good for beginners!

  • Very true.

  • how do I keep the tail higher on the turn.

  • use the roll a little bit and yaw until the nose faces your, if you understand what i mean

  • I gotchya

  • Push the tail rotor stick so the nose is down, and the tail will stay high. Ex. In left turn, push the left stick to left.

  • how did you get that radio to work on it?

  • I have a cable designed for that radio that I got when I ordered the Program

  • Dave - viewed this vid for the first time today - very good - you really do have a good way of communicating this stuff- hope the RC TV initiative is progressing well.

  • Thanks very kindly. I appreciate that.

  • what kind of heli are you flying

  • Hughes 300

  • Great Video, I am trying to learn on my new Axe 400. Freeskiken

  • very nice...ty..can you send me the tips, too?

  • On the way in a PM. Good luck.

  • Why don't you use simulator that can show radio tx, so we can see your finger movement better, and in HQ too.

  • You can watch this in High quality and I show the tx all the time. My favorite and best simulator is Aerofly Pro Deluxe. It has no tx for you to watch, as that is really an unnecessary part of the program It would be like holding 2 transmitters. LOL.

  • Niceeeeeee ...

  • Great video ... Thanks

  • Thanks. I appreciate that.

  • can you please send my the tips

  • On the pay in a PM.

  • Also can you send me the 9 tips??? Thanks :)

  • Go for it. I will PM you my tips.

  • So a 3D helicopter isn't a good one to start with? especially if it's a Walkera 4g3? I just don't want to bother with a 4 channel one for 200 then pay another 400 for a good one.

  • Economics do not work with this hobby, because you will experience lots of crashes, no matter what you fly when learning. I always say Learn on a VW, and if you never crash it, then get the Porsche. B400 is a PORSCHE. Read my 9 heli tips againg and good luck, cause you will spend more than $200 just in crashed parts.

  • i don't really care about the money too much, I just wanted too know if i would be able to start with that kind of 3D helicopter. If i was really careful Thanks

  • Haha. Good luck.

  • hey, this may be a pain in the butt...... but can you make a video of how to fly inverted with honeybee king 2??

  • I don't have one, but they all are the same. Just roll over inverted from a loop and reverse pitch with the throttle stick. You must be in a 3d mode. I will make other vids of my Blue Ray and Blade 400 inverted, soon as we get some nice weather.

  • thanks.. but how do i get in 3D mode? its just moving the stick up in the left corner to you right? and if i move the stick to me... its like throttle down is centering the throttle stick?

  • Top left front switch is usually the one. Back is 3d and forward is hover with gentle flying. Good luck.

  • yea.. i get that, but if i switch it back and my throttle is down, the blades will spin.... i have to switch it back while im flying right?

  • that was a good vid . it really helps

  • Thanks much.

  • NO BANG BOOB!!! LOL THANKS A LOT

  • Boom. It is a tail boom! LOL.

  • real flight g4, aero flight heli fly to stiff

for beauty graphics reflex or phoneixRC

  • thanks m8 in getting my first heli soon and that has been alot of help THANK YOU !

  • Thanks kindly.

  • All teach orientation and controls. Aerofly won top honors world wide for the most realistic. It is my favorite.

  • can i practice on this simulator for honeybee king 2?
