  • Pity this isn't uploaded., I would have been interesteed to see it.

  • It's a blessing to see Ali Landry pray the rosary. It's inspired guys who struggle like me to pray the rosary regularly.

  • wonderful

  • My grandmother was so right, to pray the Rosary. "Thank you, my dear grandmother, I so miss you and grandpa. Looking forward with hope to seeing you again one day in our Lord's time."

  • Hail Mary!

  • the question is why not to Jesus but to Mary? Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life nobody can come to my Father but by me, He also said: " there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

The Virgin Mary was Jesus mother but the human mother of Jesus, but Jesus said before Abraham was born, I am. So how can Mary herself a human can be mother of God almighty?

  • Definitely, Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

It's possible that Mary is the mother of God because Jesus humbled Himself so to be human. And a human cannot be human without being born of a woman. God saw in His omniscience that Mary would never sin against Him, and chose her to bear and to rear the Son of Man. It was also an ultimate act of humility of Jesus, to submit Himself to be obedient as a son to a human mother. :)

  • Are you questioning if Jesus is the son of Mary?

The rosary fulfills prophecy, Luke 1:48 For he has looked upon his handmaid's lowliness; behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed.

In the rosary, we pray Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus!

  • I never said that, but rather, I was proposing that the concept of honoring saints or Virgin Mary seem to goes overboard to "worshipping", where people ask and pray to Mary where the Bible explicitly tells us that we pray and ask everything to the Father, even Jesus Himself talked and taught us to pray with "Our Father", nowhere Jesus suggested us to pray "Hail Mary". 1:49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. Mary herself knew, she was a tool of God.

  • Tool sounds like an object.

We are made in the image and likeness of God.

Mary is the spouse of God, mother of God, and is a model of unity or communion with God.

She is a model for us as in Revelation 12, we are the offspring the devil wages war against.

Pray is simply a term that means ask. We ask the intercession of Mary not as God.

We all have met people we would like to be like, and Mary is one.

Do you observe John 6 and eat the body and drink the blood for eternal - Life

  • @1pearl2 If you said tool sound like an object, would it make God sounds like a man to say Mary is the spouse of God and finally they have kids? Furthermore, while it is true that Mary gave birth to Christ, Revelation 12 also related to the vision of Jacob in Genesis 37, so the woman can also symbolic for Israel, for from Israel comeforth Jesus. The third reason is if Mary truly is what the Church describes, why would the Bible describes the disciples even more than her?

  • I fail to see anywhere in the Bible that Jesus or the disciples or the apostles done the same as praying to other saints. Paul said we ask and give thanks TO God, Abraham and Moses prayed directly to God, Jesus in His prayer said "Our FATHER", there were no intercession until the Catholic Church created it.

If John 6 told us to drink blood and eat flesh, it makes Christianity seem like a canibalism occult.

  • We are, indeed, saved by Christ Jesus. The rosary is a Christ-centered prayer, and brings us into meditation on the life of Christ. The "Hail Mary" is a prayer which came directly from heaven, when Gabriel, bringing the message from God himself, called her blessed among women. We marvel at God's mercy and greatness, that He would be born of a woman to save us from our wretchedness. We honor her as Christ did, and obey the last words she uttered in scripture, "Do whatever He tells you."

  • here's is the things, if that really came from God, I fail to see where in Luke or any other passages that Mary being called Holy Queen or whereever in the Bible have this sentence: "...Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

  • Dear Ohgod95,

Mary's last words recorded by scripture were, "Do whatever He (Jesus) tells you." This is Mary's role to us: she points us to Christ. Remember as Jesus was dying on the cross? He said to His beloved, "Behold your mother." He gave Mary to those who stand at the cross and rely on Him for their salvation to be their mother. Jesus loved Mary with the special love that a son has for His mother. We emulate Jesus, and love her, too. Why do you disdain her so?

  • "27Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home."-John

This must be one of the best way to twist a passage in the Bible, the fact itself sshows that Jesus was telling the disciple to take in Mary, this show that Jesus kepts his promise that He won't leave anyone an orphan and proved that He did indeed love Mary, but nothing in this passage tell us to rely on her as queen of heaven...

  • Did Mary had other sons? If so, Mary would have gone to live with one of them, according to Jewish custom, right? The thing is, Mary is the favored one of God, and is to be called Blessed throughout all generations. If you fail to do so, you violate scripture. If you love Jesus, you should love his mother, by whose "Yes," salvation was brought to all mankind. She loves you! And she wants to point all people to a saving knowledge of her son, by whose blood our sins are forgiven.

  • According to Jesus, and His teachings, He said: "Blessed are the meeks, the suffered...", so according to your analogy, we're all blessed like Mary, then what's the difference?

Just saying in analogy that Mary didn't have any other children, that also doesn't make me have to honor her or a a shrine for her or pray to her. Since we're Christians, and follow Christ's teachings, you should also know that in the Lord's prayer, Jesus Himself taught us who to pray to, that is "Our Father."

  • Beloved, The difference is that God Himself called Mary "Kecharitomene, a word meaning "made full of grace." This was at a time when Christ's perfect work was not yet complete! Surely, at a time such as this , there are worse things in the world than loving the woman Jesus loved, and praising God that He looked upon a lowly woman and gave her the honor of carrying the Word made flesh. You and I are united in Christ by His blood. Pray with me for unity in Him!

  • @Ohgod95 If you could create your own mother, and Jesus as God did, wouldn't you make her perfect? Jesus who was all perfect, would not be born of any woman who tainted by sin. He created her perfect, without any sin. Gabriel in Luke 1:28 said Hail Full of grace. Since the fall of Adam and Eve, all have been born with original sin on their soul. How could Mary have been full of grace , unless Jesus created her free of sin ? If Mary is good enough for Jesus then she is good enough for all of us!

  • @Ohgod95 Would you say that Mary wasn't holy? Is she the Mother of God? If we believe that she would be in heaven with God, is it possible to believe that she would pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death? I guess I will never understand the nature of a Protestant, except as much as the name suggests...God bless you and I will pray for you and your family and I hope you would do the same for me and my family...God is love...

  • @jayroe1234 The comment I made was unfortunately when I was very immature about the Catholic Faith, when I was an anti-Catholic Protestant, now, being a Catholic, with a devotion to the Blessed Mother, who wish to pray the rosary everyday, I am truly regret of what I've said. That being said, I still can't go to church because of the opposition of my family, so therefore I do need that prayer, thank God for the Catholic Church, and thank God for the Virgin Mary.

  • @Ohgod95 Praise be to God and I pray that you will be able to go to church every day and my family and I will pray the rosary today for the conversion of your family...God bless you!

  • @Ohgod95 Is not Jesus the King of heaven and earth? If you look in the bible it is not the King's wife who is the queen, but rather his mother. As in I Kings 2 Queen Bathsheba , the mother of King Solomon, was seated at the right hand of the throne of her son.Bathsheba asked a favor of the king "Do not refuse me ."King Solomon said"For it my mother I will refuse you not..Mary is the mother of King Jesus, She is the queen.of heaven and earth, She is in Revelations 12 with the crown of 12 stars.

  • May Mary Motherly Love come into you :D love you my Christian Friend :D

  • @Ohgod95 remeber Luke 1:48

And the generations, shall call me blessed.

  • @Ohgod95 There are 3 persons in the Holy Trinity, God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. Three distinct persons in One God. That makes Jesus God ,as well as the Father is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. Since Jesus is God and Mary is his mother, then she is the Mother of God!
