Great song. Honestly people like taylor swift AINT country. People decided to make a pop sound and steal country music's name. Sure its a free country, but today's country, is not true country and true country people will agree with me. Even George Jones said it and if you don't like George Jones then you can kiss my ass. John sings the truth in this song. People need to bring the real country back. The kind that real country people love to hear.

For a song written in 1998, I'd say that it rings true even more so than when it was recorded. Good country has been rare to come by since the turn of the century. It's like he knew the slippery slope that country music has been on for years.

and this taylor swift is an idiot. the fact that she even has a following and is considered "country" is an abomanation. these "new country" fans got to be the biggest bunch of sheeple and morons I've ever seen. God help us when crap like carrie underwood and hannah montana passes as country. I don't even listen to any music anymore because I'm so disgusted with it.

One glaring omission from this video; WHERE IS BUCK OWENS? He does'nt rate, but Kris Kristofferson does? Jimmy Dean? Little Jimmy Dickens? Come on! Buck sold more records than all of them put together.
