  • worst patch job ever. I'm surprised he didn't put the patch on upside down.

  • was that soapy water he used to check for bubbles ? the entire bucket would be full of bubbles with soapy water LMAO

  • @TrangulumAustrale Hahahhha yeah lol

  • Where do you keep your tub of soapy water on your bicycle ?

  • Mate, usually you would have a spare tube and when you have time, you fix the flat one.

  • The tutorial on bicycletutor is much better. It talks about using the proper amount of glue, spreading it over an area larger than the patch, and waiting 5 minutes for the glue to set up. And yes, technically it's "vulcanizing fluid". The patch backing doesn't have to be removed, it seems to be a matter of personal preference.

These "expert village" videos really aren't all that "expert".

  • He had big bougers of extra compound. That's not right. He should have mentioned to put the stuff on in a circle larger than the patch. Let it dry, do not touch the patch, unwrap the patch, push hard for 1 minute, and then release. There's a plastic cover on the top of the patch. That has to be removed after its pressed on. Then inflate slightly and check for leaks. Geez. The big thing is, if you can afford a hot jersey like that, don't screw with patches, just buy a new tube.

  • at 0:46 what does he do to take the air out.

  • @oowama very very very simple. on presta valves, there is a pin, and a screw that goes over it. once you have partially unscrewed the screw, just press down on the pin and the air comes out.

  • you do know you can turn the plastic cap round and can puncture the sealed glue tube. no need to carry a nail around

  • do not use wd40 or hd60

you sould use BIO Degreaser for your bike and chain lubricate both from schwinn chain care kit come with BIO DEGRREASER AND CHAIN LUBRICATE AND BRUSH TO FOR ONLY$ 24.99 IF YOUR IN CANADA YOU CAN BUY IT AT ANY CANADA TIRE . I GET THIS KIT IT WORK THE BEST .

  • I assume this guy smokes. He sounds really out of breath.

Not that that has anything to do with the video...but I did find it kind of distracting.

Also the wet, smacking noises. *shudders*

  • i no

  • Thats not so correct, u need more time for glue can dry off and surely it was patched carelessly.

  • "Pops" sounded out of breath, but hey, that's hard work!! :-)

  • Thus tutorial could be a little more detailed but I'm sure most people can figure out what do with the kit.

  • that puncture part was hot!!!!!....haha just kidding

  • do you think this guy even rides bike? if so that is teh most unfit cyclist i have seen

  • dude i know how does this guy ride?

  • he cant

  • Does that look like a 20 year old man is his prime to you?

  • Contrary to popular belief, fat is actually good for long distance athletics. It's great energy.

  • that's cuz your in Vermont...that's your problem

  • what makes you say that ?

  • just a question. Why do you use glue and not vulcanizing liquid?
