Maybe it's just me, but I can't see Glenn treating Alex with this much disdain and unprofessionalism if their roles were reversed. He'd either lead with his mistake or use substantive proof to close the case on his opponent. At the very least, Glenn's humor would be funnier, wittier, and more intelligent. Also, Alex comes across insecure in this segment, whereas Glenn's mix of humility, confidence and habitual self-denigration convinces us that he's genuinely secure and on the up and up.

I really respect Glenn Beck and enjoy the substance and the comedy of all his media forms. He sincerely seeks out and speaks the truth. He is first and foremost a dad, and he strikes people as genuine for that reason. However, Glenn has stated that some of his beliefs will never be made public, and this might be one of those cases. I enjoy listening to Alex's segments, but he doesn't connect with me (and most people) in the same way.

He does have some funny quirky views that are neither left or right, but overall, he seems to associate with mostly right wing folks. I didn't know he was arrested, but I do believe it. I hope people see what i think is the real meaning behind beck's reports, to be able to get this information out onto the public sphere through mass media. his conclusion was that nothing conclusive was determined through the "debunking attempt."

Maybe it's just me, but I can't see Glenn treating Alex with this much disdain and unprofessionalism if their roles were reversed. He'd either lead with his mistake or use substantive proof to close the case on his opponent. At the very least, Glenn's humor would be funnier, wittier, and more intelligent. Also, Alex comes across insecure in this segment, whereas Glenn's mix of humility, confidence and habitual self-denigration convinces us that he's genuinely secure and on the up and up.

I really respect Glenn Beck and enjoy the substance and the comedy of all his media forms. He sincerely seeks out and speaks the truth. He is first and foremost a dad, and he strikes people as genuine for that reason. However, Glenn has stated that some of his beliefs will never be made public, and this might be one of those cases. I enjoy listening to Alex's segments, but he doesn't connect with me (and most people) in the same way.

I'm actually going to use this video in class as a prime example of what is wrong with media, and the people who are allowed to become famed by it for the sole purpose of developing revenue.

Don't fool yourself. The first amendment, although granting the right, wasn't intended to be something that can be a degradation of substantial thought. Objectively, I can say that at least when Glenn Beck does an emotional rant, he does so with some information that people can research and study for themselves. These guys simply don't do anything but regurgitate common fears, or at least commonly known fears. Truly terrible.
