I have bad news for you. This song has snuck out of Padstow and is sung other places - Minneapolis, Minnesota every May for example, with the title Padstow Mayers' Song in honor of that fair town in Cornwall.

The original version of Steeleye Span singing Padstow has been put back on Utube by "Nigihayahi" unfortunately they have spelt it Stteleye Span so you may miss it.

Its well worth watching as its a much better recording

This isn't a patch on the version which was taken off. I will be in Padstow on Thursday and it's sad I can't see Steeleye's other performance. It's nothing short of sacrilege to see it gone.

i was sorry to see that the original track and film clip from Steeleye Span singing Padstow has been taken off YouTube would the person who orinaly put it on please,please put it back on as it was my most favorite clip on YouTube.I know this has a good sound but its nothing like as good as the one thats been taken off

Wow...this is absolutely great. I have too many Steeleye Span favorites to count but Padstow and Cadgwith Anthem are two that I never want to stop. I've got a few versions of others doing Padstow but Steeleye Span is by far the best of the lot!

The title of this song is Padstow. I am glad thet you share this Philadelphia video with us, because I saw them that same year at Dranouter Festival in Belgium, with of course the same line-up and the same songs. Twenty years agi is this, and they are still going strong.
