Under "Phone Model" I did not have the selection of "Verizon Support" so I selected "Other" and then "WWAN Support" and it worked. When I connected through Verizon the first webpage that came up was a tethering billing plan. I then disconnected the bluetooth connection on mac and started the Tether App on both my phone and my Macbook. Voila.  They connected with each other perfectly... and now it's free. Thank you.

I just set up my bluetooth on my macbook pro and Blackberry storm 9530. I dont need to use my internet connection from my storm so what else is the BLUETOOTH good for? I tried transferring music from itunes to my phone and that didnt work either? What is the point? can someone please provide me with something else cool that I can do using these two setup on bluetooth because right now I am about to delete it. Thanks so much.

I am trying to tether my storm with my macbook. I am running into a dillema where I am not prompted to change my "Phone Vendor" or "Phone Model". I'm also not allowed to enter the user name and password. Any suggestions? thanks

Pretty much dead on but there is a slight change for Snow Leopard. Set the device to novatel and CDMA and it will work fine.

yep but keep in mind that your "unlimited data" is actually limited to 5 gb's a month. its in the fine print.

With the reports that I've been getting it seems that some people get charged and some don't. However, the people who do get charged always have a warning that they will be charged before using the internet. I was lucky and didn't get that warning ;) and I'm yet to be charged!

I have a Blackberry Curve. I also have a Mac book, but I'm getting a little different menu when I configure it. I don't have the "provider" option. Everything seems to work though other than that BUT when I try to connect I get the message "A modem error occurred. Please verify your settings and try again." Does that mean I have the modem setting wrong, or do I need to upgrade the OS? It's a brand spanking new phone. Shouldn't it be the newest operating system?
