  • All the little emotions in his eyes and face. The part where he screams "tell me" makes my heart twist every time.

  • Apart from the amazing acting, I do find it amusing that the "Thor wants Another!" scene comes straight after.

It's like someone is silently narrating "Meanwhile.."

  • I love how his voice changes at 2:20 - 2:30

  • Thor would've been a mediocre film, just so many things lifted it up from that. And the biggest of those factors is Tom Hiddleston. This is just such a stunning piece of acting.

  • @Lebeau541 Robert Downey Jr.? Chris Evans?

  • TELL ME!!!

  • tom hiddleston= great actor

  • Isn't that just a beautiful face to look at....

  • It's too bad this movie didn't focus on Loki and his development...I think I would've enjoyed that plot a hundred times more than the actual film.

  • This is by far my favorite scene in the entire movie. Loki was the best character in this movie because of his twisted story of betrayal, deceit, revenge, and 'death'. Damn I can't wait for his return in the Avengers. The shit's gonna get real.

  • I an't wait to see how Tom is going to play Loki in the upcoming 'Avengers' Movie. He was so full of conflicting emotions in this scene, it brings a tear to the eye. he's going to be such a good bad guy...

  • Such a great performance by both actors. The cry in the midst of this scene seemed so natural and heartfelt, like a child just yearning to know the truth...golf clap to you, Tom!

  • I felt so bad for Loki when he found out the truth about himself. Love you, Loki :)

  • Tom is so freaking gorgeous that I was distracted and had to watch this three times before I actually understood what was going on XD

  • Tom is the only actor in this movie I actually understand what he says. The other are like "son ....... truth...... " or "My......!" Im always like your what? o.o

The thing that made this movie for me was that he turns blue. The other giants look so evil with blue skin and red eyes, but when Loki turns blue I just wanted to hug him.

He just look so full of sorrow and you could see how much he hated himself.

    I like great actors!

  • Brilliant, brilliant performance.

I am used to seeing this on stage but rarely on screen, to be honest.

  • ...

Odin is the worst father ever. All Loki wanted was a proof of love, an explaination. But all Odin does was telling him horrors. Shame on you, Odin !

Loki, you deserve a hug *open her amrs*

  • Ugh I can't stop rewatching this scene. The acting here is so spectacular, it tears your heart out.

  • I Thought it is a Fan Video with Shakespare Audio

  • 1:42

  • “So I am no more than a stolen relic. Locked up, here, until you might have use of me.”

Gosh, the way his says that just sends shivers down my spine. Brilliant, Mr. Hiddleston. Simply brilliant.

  • TEL MEEEEEEE

  • Love all the heavy breathing by Loki in this scene :P Also how he says the line "You know it all makes sense NOW! Lol

  • I almost cried at this scene! Loki is my soul mate or my alter ego haven't quite decided yet, but anyways. I love this movie and I would watch it every day of my life so I could memorize it then I would drive my family crazy by quoting it all day long. My LOKI really needs a good hug and quite night's sleep. poor little guy, =(

  • "Guards, please, help!" *dies*

  • I kinda got curious...and turned on the CC transcribed audio thing...you know...the captions >_>;;...

All I can say is...when Loki is asking him why he didn't tell him from the beginning (at 2:08), according to the captions anyway, Odin's answer was simply "msn".

  • The way his voice breaks when he says, "Am I cursed?" Breaks my heart!

  • Loved it!

  • Loki really needs a hug.

  • Best scene ever! I love Loki and Tom did wonderfully playing him!!!

  • This is a cool scene, he was really good in this movie even though it was a bit short and they really could of filled it out more. I wish they'd had more dialogue in this scene before his father like...fell asleep on him...lol it's quite funny actually, having a really deep convo and then zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • This is Tom giving a damn!

  • That was I call "acting". Tom is a great actor. Robert Pattinson and Daniel Radcliff should learn about this film.

  • @c0est0un0secret Daniel Radcliff is a good actor... He made that sack of shit Woman in Black worth watching LOL

  • Tom Hiddleston to take over Heath Ledger as the Joker

  • i really need to learn to keep breathing through this clip...loki just takes my breath away. Tom u did an excellent job :):)

  • When he says "Laufey's son?" it almost sounds like he's saying "Laufeyson" (as in his surname), like he's testing the waters of this new information.

  • Tom Hiddleston better win an award for this! he's AMAZING! He made the movie for me

  • yes, i love this scene....

  • As soon as I found out kenneth branagh was directing Thor, I knew the acting would be awesome. Sure there were going to be the usual fight scenes and fun special effects, but the drama between Loki/Thor/Odin is what I was most pleased with.

  • can someone tell me why this is called "Loki as Hamlet"? what is the Hamlet part? I love this scene btw!

  • This scene is so poignant, so tragic. It's the first time you truly see the depth of Loki's pain. The sad part is that there is no lack of love in Odin's family... they just do everything wrong showing it. Odin even tries to reassure Loki of his affection, but I don't think Loki hates his family as much as he hates himself, and that is a far more twisted pain to unravel.

    Beautifully done.

  • His "tell me" is so powerful and then his "what" is so broken... I love this scene...it's so wonderfully acted. Brilliant.

  • this is my favourite scene in the movie, Tom is such an amazing actor

  • Tom's acting is just amazing, I can't stop watching it...

  • I'm sooo excited for the avengers and Thor 2 ( loki's in both of them!) please post more Loki clips

  • Damn it why can't I stop watching this.

Loki really made this movie for me. Can't wait for the avengers. Woohooo more loki

  • There honestly no words for how much I love this scene :)

  • Draco Malfoy and Loki has a resemblance of being a villain.. O__O

  • Tom is sooo dreamy. He played Loki so well!!

  • oh I love you Loki! don't worry you can have your revenge in the Avengers

  • I cry every damn time I watch this scene. I just wanna give Loki a massive hug.

IT'S OKAY LOKI, I'M HERE FOR YOU! :'(

  • just great acting for loki. he made this movie great

  • Tom Hiddleston was just beyond amazing in this movie. He's pretty much the main reason why I liked it.

Thanks so much for uploading this scene :) It was definitely my favorite in the movie.

  • Oh, this breaks my heart. LOVE this scene and Tom's acting.

  • doesn't your heart just break at that little "what" he whispers... :(

  • This scene with Tom Hiddleston & Anthony Hopkins made this movie EPIC! 'Nuff said...

  • LETS SING ALONG! aM I cursed? What more than that? The Casket wasn’t the only thing you took from jotenhiem that day, was it? Lafi’s son… Why? You were knee deep in joten-blood. Why would you take me? NO. You took me for a purpose, what Was it? Tell me! what. So I am no more than another stolen relick, locked up, here unitl you might have use of me You could have told me what I was from the beginning, why didn’t you? What because I’m a monster who parents tell their children about at night?
  • anyone notice the little head bob at 2:00?

  • @Odly3nough Hahahaha, I didn't until you said that.

  • I was crying with him in this scene, rare combination of anger, sadness and despair. Tom was amazing as Loki!! Oscar nomination Please!!!!!

  • I've just learned that the proper term for the fandom I am experiencing is called Hiddlestoned..............

  • @RogueAdamantiumQueen Lol is that what it's called? I think I have it too. =P

  • the way he says the line "because no matter how much you claimed to love me, you couldn't have a frost giant sitting on the throne of Asgard." always makes get a bit teary eyed. Tom really did amazing at portraying that hurt and betrayal Loki felt. Poor thing, It's hard not to feel bad for him through the whole movie

  • I think I'm in love :-P

  • Tom Hiddleston's eye did it for me in this scene. Fcuking incredible.

  • are u guys crazy?? loki does not need a hug, he needs a therapist..o.O

  • @Biinko He needs both. And yes, we Loki fangirls are kinda crazy! ;)

  • @TahliaTheShadowAngel True that. Loki Love!

  • @TahliaTheShadowAngel hahaaha loki fangirls?? :) im a thor fangirl, and i do hope they make a sequel! wooot

  • OMG, Loki... he does need a hug :(

  • heh... in norse mythology Odin is son of gians too^^

  • aww.....

  • I LOVE LOKI!!!!!!!!♥

  • Talk about a convenient time to fall into the Odinsleep XP

  • Go to spike TV.com and go to the scream awards voting thing. Tom Hiddleston is up against chris (thor) a guy from walking dead, a guy from that true blood bullshit and some guy from x men fist class for the BEST BREAKOUT PERFORMANCE-Male award!!! GO VOTE FOR TOM HIDDLESTON NOOOOOWW!! GO GO GO

    HE DESERVES THIS!!

  • Evilest. Puppy. Eyes. Ever.

I think I love you Loki XD

  • why couldn't you record this with better quality? TELL ME!!!!!

  • I prefered the Loki from "Son of the Mask".

*Run away from furious Thor's fans*

    :D

  • I know everyones already said this but GOOD GOD Hiddleton is a good actor!!!!

  • O_O Looks like Loki bitched a little too hard XD

  • You can see his soul break when he starts breathing heavily O_O Tom is such an amazing actor <3

  • absolute. best. scene.fav.actor.love

  • Not only do I feel sorry for Loki, but I also feel incredibly bad for Frigga. I can't imagine what it would be like as a mother to have to watch your little baby go through so much pain and eventually be driven into madness like this.

I'm pretty sure Odin's marriage is screwed.

  • Tom Hiddleston is FUCKING AMAZING

  • Tom is not acting, he IS LOKI! he has came to screen ans showed us and reminded us just how amazing loki can be. He is one of the best actors of our time and no one else could ever take his place as Loki. I personally will FOREVER love and respect tom and only see him as Loki, never anyone else. EVER

Yay for Tom HIddleston and may he ring us many amazing roles to come and may he kick some serious ass in avengers this coming May!

    TEAM LOKI FOREVER <3

  • I expect the Marvel writers will try to turn Loki into a full-fledged villan, but I hope not. He's troubled (obviously) but not downright evil, in my opinion. He is Also, blatantly intelligent, defiant, witty and intricate; with a slight potential for sociopathic tendencies. Loki is indeed an interesting character.

  • @MsVanzz He is so deliciously complex. It kind of reminds me of the opening sequence for The Talented Mr. Ripley when it shows all the various aspects of his soul... The Mysterious Yearning Secretive Sad Lonely Troubled Confused Loving Musical Gifted Intelligent Beautiful Tender Sensitive Haunted Passionate Talented Mr. Ripley

  • Would it be crazy of me to say that an academy award nomination is very possible for Tom Hiddleston? Not necessarily for this movie but in the future

  • I love that you can see his hands turning blue when he lifts it...

  • i love how you can totally tell how indecisive he is about picking that thing up. Truth that he ain't all evil, folks.

  • Loki: so i am no more than an stolen relic :,( that part is so heart breaking!

  • so i am nothing else than an

  • Tom Hiddleston is just brilliant in this movie...

  • Loki's not evil. He's... complicated.

  • @enedving Thank you, someone gets it. It's naive to call him "evil." Don't let the maniacal laughter fool you. He's really a wounded kid, not a strategic and cold thinker.

  • @OnePieceFanat I can watch this forever too... =)

I love the movie and I love Loki...

  • Hey I love this part an the song whats the name of it?

  • @thebugsbunnygirl Odin's Confession by Patrick Doyle :D

  • I can see why they need Kenneth Branaugh to direct this

  • Loki... Tragedy follows in his wake like the ill tides of an endless ocean of woe. Somewhere, buried in the depths of his confused and twisted heart, he still loves his father... In this scene you can see it in his eyes. For just that briefest of moments Loki hovers on the edge. In that fleeting second he can either forgive and become more than he is, or allow the hate and anger to forge his future. Sadly , tragically, he falls into furies thirst for retribution. A lonely path towards doom.

  • @nardigan God damn it man! That's deep. @-@

  • @nardigan Very well spoken sir!

  • @nardigan that almost poetic

  • Although I liked previous Marvel films like Iron man and Spiderman I think they really hit their stride with Thor.

They've managed not only to fully realise a fantastic world with colourful trappings ala Flash Gordon, but also make it a very personal and human story.

They've treated each and every one of their characters with dignity and respect.

This scene sums that up perfectly as Loki is the only live-action Marvel villain I've found myself feeling sympathetic for.

    Bravo Tom. Bravo.

  • i feel for loki. he didnt become the villian self conciously,he only did it to meet odin's expectations and be a worthy son.

  • I was rooting for Loki throughout the whole movie. And during the preview for the Avengers also :)

  • Loki is one of those villains that you really can't help but feel bad for. As somebody who has lived in his brother's shadow his whole life, I really can't help but feel bad for this guy

  • Amazing. Anyone who talked smack about Thor was obviously getting popcorn when this scene was played.

  • This scene was, in my opinion, the best part of the movie.

Without this scene, the villain would not have been half as intriguing, and the movie would not have been half as emotionally relevant.

I stil firmly believe that Loki was the hero of the movie- his entire motivation through the whole movie (even at the end) could never be misconstrued as evil, and he had so much more depth than Thor.

Kudos to Tom for the brilliant performance.

Also, thanks so much for posting this clip!

  • @Eugenidesful I couldn't agree more. With this being sold as a relatively light-hearted and fun superhero flick, I wasn't expecting such a brilliant display of acting. Hiddleston gives even the best villains a run for their money and Hopkins was sufficiently powerful in his delivery in some places, and fittingly fragile and old in others - a great portrayal of the king of the gods.

  • @Eugenidesful I just pretend the movie was called "Loki" because that's pretty much the only thing that's missing. Loki WAS this movie lol

  • awwww I just wanna squeezy Loki:3 poor guy

  • when i concentrate on odins face i'd like to laugh because he has this 'wtf'expression but i can't because i'm so caught in toms acting that i only feel sorry for loki and want to give him a big hug!

  • OMG!!! I cried so hard at this scene people around me looked back at me and patted my knee or leg!! :) Tom is brilliant!!!! TEAM LOKI!!!! I still cry when I watch this scene! I wish i could jump into the screen and comfort Loki!!! It hurt my heart sooo much!!! After the movie i was still crying and people gave me weird looks who were going to see it!! A man asked me if it was that sad and you know what I said? I said: Loki is so misread!!! And my sis and I ran to the car. I cried so much!!

  • @jessicac56 Yeah its a great scene. The Avengers is just around the corner.

  • @jessicac56 lol I pretty much reacted the same way! I literally never thought I would come out of watching THOR crying and genuinely distressed LOL

  • I love how he says 'wha?' <3 :3

  • Absolute perfection omg

  • Loki: [holding the Casket of Ancient Winters] Am I cursed?

    Odin: No.

    Loki: What am I?

    Odin: You are my son.

[Loki turns and looks at Odin]

Loki: [features briefly blue and chill] What more than that?... The Casket wasn't the only thing you took from the Jotunheim that day, was it?

Odin: No. Amongst the rubble I found a baby, small for a Giant's offspring, abandoned and helpless. Laufey's son.

    Loki: Laufey's son?

    Odin: Yes.

Loki: Why? You were knee deep in Jotun blood. Why would

  • I can't help but tear up every time I watch this scene. Tom Hiddleston is such a great actor! I really want to see him in more things!

  • TELL ME! Absolutely stunning. Thank god Branagh knew this actor.

  • Tom Hiddleston stole the show in that movie. He did such an amazing job as Loki! He is the ONLY reason I want to see the Avengers, though I'm worried he won't be given enough camera time to demonstrate all the complexity he brought to the character in Thor.

  • The shakiness in his voice, and his tears... Tom Hiddleston was perfect.

  • I feel he did a great job with this scene and the other one where he tells Thor " is it" and he kind of brakes done a little before they start to fight. His emotions felt real and very raw. I think that makes him a great actor and hope to see him in other things in the future. He played Loki well.

  • this was by far the BEST part of the entire movie. tom hiddleston was amazing.

  • Just wrenching. I love it. So much.

  • The Frost Giant's Casket reminds me of the Triforce of Wisdom from Zelda.

  • Loki: What Am I?

    Odin: You're my son..

    Loki: What more than that?

Odin: Well, you're also a evil version of the Avatar from Pandora.....

    Loki: O.O What the Hell?

  • @jackfrostrulez fuck yeah XDD and very small version, made in Japan XDD

  • @OnePieceFanat Either that or a smurf on steroids lol

  • I love Loki and Tom

  • @Saysasu so do I :3

  • This was the scene that sold Loki's character to me. Tom's acting is just brilliant!

  • Excelente actuación. La escena es conmovedora, se puede sentir el dolor, la decepción, la desesperación. Loki es EL personaje de la película.

  • Defenitivamente mi escena favorita, la mejor de toda la película. Me encanta, no me canso de verla.

  • One of my fav scenes.

  • I love this scene and I love his performance! It´s really touching!

    Thank you for uploading!
